You use it as some sort of handicap when others challenge your batshit-insane opinions and then claim you're muting them because, "Everyone is stupid compared to me!" It's a very juvenile thing to do. When you disagree with someone in a real conversation in person, you can't just stick your fingers in your ears and act like you can't hear them.
This is not relevant to the purpose of my words.
One does not wish to stress them self with one they dislike. It is better to not see their words.
In my opinion, if someone gets genuinely angry/stressed over anonymous words on a screen, then they shouldn't be interacting with others on the internet to begin with.
