Some old guy on a bike called me an asshole because I almost hit him. He was riding on the wrong side of the road while I was turning right onto the street and my view was blocked by a wall. Sure he was in the bike lane, but he was going the complete wrong direction. Cyclists seem to think it's perfectly okay to do this and not follow the rules of the road.
You realize there is a reason they do this? They go on the wrong side so that they see the cars coming at them, and probably for other reasons I'm not aware of.
if there are bike lanes on both sides then they still have to ride in the same direction of traffic, and in most places they can get fined for riding in the wrong side

never taken any prescription meds like that but just know that it's going to change who you are, and if you're okay with that, then you're making a fair decision
as if that's a bad thing
people always criticize this aspect of medications, like changing who you are is some ultimate travesty
i mean i was just stating a fact, me saying that as a bad thing would be highly hypocritical on my part considering my experience with substances

I don't give two shits what you eat. If you want to live on the blood of baby bunnies and roast crows over a spit, that's your perogative.
Doesn't mean I have to think any of it looks appetizing.
apathy is a disease
I'm purely speaking in reference to traditional supermarket foods like beef and chicken.
my point stands
OT: i think people are literally just too stupid to realize that cows, chickens, and pigs are animals, too just like a cute little raccoon or your precious dog
we also don't eat raccoons, traditionally--whereas with livestock, we can just say, "it's okay because they taste good" which is stupid and evil and retarded, but such is the human race
it's a cultural bias that will inevitably die, but not for at least another century
I don't think anyone actually believes that eating livestock is morally right
haha, you'd be surprised. some of the people that i call my closest friends are firm believers that the only productive purpose for livestock is being food for humans. then there's my christian friend who believes they were placed here by god to act as food for humans. and, believe me, debating philosophical topics with normies is a bad time

i feel you on the posting less frequently part, but my opinion of people here really hasn't changed a bit because i have no reason to change it. i've noticed a lot more negativity and depressing posts but, i mean, this is the internet after all.

no, because my morals compel me not to
i have a question that's kinda related to the topic: how long did it take for you to make the full switch to veganism? It's been almost a month since I became vegetarian and eventually I do want to take the leap towards veganism, but eggs and dairy are such a big part of my diet. Do you have any advice on how I could substitute these items?

many cultures don't view dogs as members of the family like most American families do. For example when I visited my family in Italy a few years back they owned a couple dogs, but the animals were all kept outside on either a chain or in a fenced area, and their purpose was to watch and guard the area. they didn't view them as pets but as assets.
why not buy a fucking alarm system or a camera or something. Dogs are actually pretty horrible for security
while that would make sense, their way of doing things is deeply rooted in tradition and, as far as I know, hasn't failed them yet. So who am I to judge, ya know?

adding on to my previous comment...
idk if you have ever been cheated on before, but I have, and let me tell you that it's one of the most painful experiences to ever happen to me. put yourself in the other guy's shoes and you'll realize that you'd never want that kind of pain brought upon yourself.
there are millions of other females in this world, don't take your chances on a highly destructive one if you don't have to.

Might see the only girl I've ever truly loved in a few days. Haven't seen her in 2 years
holy shit i'm in a very similar situation! starting talking with an old friend a couple days ago and we shared a mutual attraction back in the day, but i was in high school and she was still in the 8th grade so i didn't want to make any moves on her at the time...let's just say she's all grown up now and really wants to see me again. i've already made plans to hang out with her this friday
