The Flood / Re: Star Wars EU isn't canon BUT........
« on: November 30, 2014, 12:47:24 PM »Nope, Star Wars EU is canon.
Official Statement from Lucas:
“In order to give maximum creative freedom to the filmmakers and also preserve an element of surprise and discovery for the audience, Star Wars Episodes VII-IX will not tell the same story told in the post-Return of the Jedi Expanded Universe. While the universe that readers knew is changing, it is not being discarded. Creators of new Star Wars entertainment have full access to the rich content of the Expanded Universe. For example, elements of the EU are included in [upcoming animated series] Star Wars Rebels.”
It specifically states that the Star Wars (TM) EU [Expanded Universe] including anything after the official Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (TM) canon is no longer in the Star Wars (TM) canon, respectively.
You stated that the EU [Expanded Universe] is canon.
That is the direct opposite of what was stated by George Lucas (the official creator of Star Wars (TM)).
According to multiple legal documents and human common sense, the official statement above carries more authority than you (Noel), respectively.
According to the Oxford Dictionary (which is a credited, reliable source), the definition of wrong is:
"Not correct in action, judgment, opinion, or method"
Objectively, you are wrong Noel
