The Flood / Re: Covid lockdown status update
« on: May 27, 2020, 05:06:12 PM »
Don't forget that a large number of those US numbers are from NYC where they have incredibly strict lock down measures.

I mean, nyc would have been like, 4x worse if cuomo hadn't told all the poors to stay home

If you take NY out of the equation, the rest of America is doing well
Even in NY medical capacity wasn't overwhelmed

What is it you study, again?
english and compsci
Since when were you doing compsci
same moment i realized that i needed a minor to get my degree

went for compsci because i already had a few credits in it from that time i switched
How do you like it
i think it's assfuck bullshit that i needed to take so many math courses just to qualify for the most basic compsci, but once i managed, it was okay i guess, but i still have a lot of resentment towards the system for putting me through the wringer

Me too
It's my third year and only now am I finally getting to classes that seem pertinent to my major
And I'm still taking shit like African Culture when I'm in Engineering

The Flood / Re: Anime fans, what is the appeal?
« on: May 26, 2020, 10:35:32 PM »
note the disparity in my response vs. everyone else's responses

as it turns out, so long as you put yourself in a simplistic enough frame of mind, you can enjoy literally anything
Imagine having such a sad life you have to prove your superiority even on anime
pretty sure i didn't prove my superiority

pretty sure you did lmao

Whatever fills your attention quota Verby

The Flood / Re: Learning an instrument
« on: May 26, 2020, 11:40:23 AM »
I just wanted to be competent with a more practical hobby. I consider myself well-read and somewhat in shape, but I'm lacking in something like this. Just being able to play decently for myself is more than enough for me.

Yeah you'll need frequent lessons to be anywhere near competent but also a lot of practice just fucking around on the instrument to get to know it

What do you hope to do with the clarinet?

That's cool
The clarinet is more of an ensemble instrument though so there's not a lot of solo stuff you can find

The Flood / Re: Learning an instrument

It would have to be in-person lessons from an instructor. Two of my four roommates are leaving at the end of this lease and the remaining two describe me as the "perfect roommate" because I'm so quiet so I'd rather not do anything to flip that sentiment upside down by blaring noise throughout the complex. So my options are either practice by myself in the middle of a barren parking lot or learn from somebody in a place designed for such use.

I played trombone in high school

Are you teaching yourself or getting lesson?

Also go with rental until you're sure it's something you want to purchase

Dude, what happened to you?

Trust me you do not want to know

Yes, I do.

Has he not slept for five nights?

I didn't sleep for six nights during benzo withdrawal and I was psychotic by the end of it. He should probably go to a hospital.

Well for one, he goes by Carmen now and is perpetually on a cocktail of hormones and drugs. In fact, he even sucked off a hobo underneath a bridge for some (actually true or at least canon in Class lore). His attention seeking behavior has gotten so bad that he is now the leader of a safe space discord server full of emotionally damaged people and even 13 year olds. He plugs the server every now and then to milk some drama from it. He recently started posting videos of himself in a hotel room that's looks like found footage videos. Oh he also has thing of using children shows characters as personas which is really creepy.

Overall, he's a desperate attention hungry whore basically

February 16 2018

When I accepted that the human condition IS suffering, and that the goal of society ought to be addressing and correcting its symptoms.

That's a complicated question with a complicated answer.

it was good of you to specify life itself, rather than my own specifically

that said, it definitely solidified at some point in high school, although the seeds were sown from birth obviously

Junior year of high school, I think

Fuck, I DID peak in high school.

Was there one event or was it a gradual slide into despair

Wow that's heavy
Was it a big platform to be seen on or something?

The porch day novelty wore off when Bnext launched.

Now you have people that made accounts in 2019 celebrating it like their own.

I mean look at this shit, this fucking kid probably wasn’t even born when Porch Day happened

You fucking boomers

It's doing better now than it did 6 months ago

idk why you guys bitch and moan about him (or her, not been keeping up to date with the whole pronoun drama) when you literally funnel attention directly into his (or her) ego.

You're all literally those Karen's who complain to the airline about not having social distancing policies on a fucking aircraft when they're the very asshats contributing to the problem. Stop. Flying.

The thing is he has to earn it
I have no problem giving him attention if his trolling is smart and subtle but now it's just lazy
