I don't quite understand how anyone from the start didn't realize that Assad is no where near Saddam and didn't need removal.

Serious / Re: "If the father wants an abortion, he shouldn't have to pay child support"« on: September 08, 2015, 03:10:48 PM »I thought "ought to" implied there was obligation, sorry. The only reason it would is because the man chooses to take on greater obligations because to him sex is more valuable.Exactly. And he's a stupid motherfucker for thinking sex is more valuable—that's my point. 1834
Serious / Re: "If the father wants an abortion, he shouldn't have to pay child support"« on: September 08, 2015, 03:03:21 PM »Uh no it does not. Sex requires responsibility because it can give rise to new life and STD's, etc. Women who have sex contribute to these acts and are thus equally responsible for the risks. What the fuck are you talking about. You haven't given any reasoning as to why men having greater desire for sex creates an obligation for them to have greater responsibility. Nothing about wanting something more means you have to sacrifice more.Uh, yeah, it does. If the thing you want is something as dangerous and as stupid as sex. It ABSOLUTELY does. If a man and a woman have sex and take those risks, why does the male having a greater desire for sex create greater obligations for him? The only reason it would is because the man chooses to take on greater obligations because to him sex is more valuable. There is no requirement he take on more burden than the woman. 1835

Nothing about wanting something more means you have to sacrifice more.Yeah, that's why the overwhelming majority of all rapists are men. Because they're willing to be more responsible. If men tend to be "hornier" than women, it logically follows that men ought to be more responsible. No it doesn't? The only thing that that establishes is that men are more willing to be more responsible than woman. 1836

I don't understand the "sexual contract" perspective. If both parties agree that in the event of accidental pregnancy that abortion would happen there would be an abortion, should not the father be exempt from the contract once the abortion does not take place and thus his terms for the contract have been breached?
