I don't see many people (if any at all) mention the lack of males in nursing fields, which is a pretty high end job yet only 10% are males. Of course things are going to look this way if you never make any effort to get involved in discussions with academic feminists. Alongside nursing, childhood education is horrifically sparse of men, and that's a legitimate problem contributing to the growing deficit between boys and girls in school. And in the situation of school it is almost undeniable how much external cultural forces influence men's desire to go into the field. Pedophilia scares regularly and unfairly target men to the point where some districts enforce draconian liability policies like not allowing men to be sole supervisors of minors. Anyone who continues to deny the ability of society to disincentivize demographics in certain lines of work is simply plugging their ears to hide from the scarey world called reality. This is completely ignoring the immense pressure put on men to be independent earners, and often having their value as a person tied to their wealth. That kind of pressure will obviously lead men into fields that pay, regardless of hardship or dislike of the work. Which probably contributes to the atrocious male suicide rate.
