You're a male opinion on feminism?

lol Yuropoors cannot into freedom of speech.

In all fairness, physical threats aren't free speech, but it's still pretty silly.
I'm willing to bet a lot of money on these laws being used as precedent to lock up political dissidents within the next 20 years

>not understanding what generalizing is

I was showing how stupid it is to say Obama is the reason why the deficit has decreased by stating that Democrats were in control of Congress when the economy fell. There's more factors than a single person/group when it comes towards this

Now I just wait for your patheitc "hur demeg puntrol" response like the biased person you are

> Presents entire post with details and sources saying why you're wrong
> "It's just a generalization, Obama didn't do anything"

Kinder, if you'd like to debate, be my guest. But actually come here prepared because at this point, unless you have some sources to back up that Democrats didn't successfully lower the deficit, you're wrong in this argument.

Have a good day.
Lol, you're just mad you thought I was being serious. fracking lol. Go cry some more
Holy shit, I don't think I've ever seen such a pathetic response.

How can they not be Muslims?

If anything, the perpetrators of 9/11 are TRUE Muslims considering they followed their holy book to the exact text.
The Qur'an told them to fly planes into the twin towers and the Pentagon?

If the book is that accurate, who wouldn't follow it?
The Qu'ran instructs them to murder apostates via the method of Jihad.

Quote
Qur'an (4:89) - "They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper."

It's kind of irrelevant what methods of killing are involved. What matters is the edict.

My thoughts?

A bunch of reprehensible psycho twats thought it would be suitable enough to inject their putrid ideology into the gaming industry then subsequently call the victim card when criticism got a little bit too rough for their delicate sensibilities.

That's my thoughts on Gamergate.

Ugh.

As much as I agree with Jon on key issues, I'm kind of hesitant to take this whole "white privilege" argument with any modicum of credence considering it's such a wide blanket statement on an entire race. O' Reilly does actually make a legitimate point about Asian wealth but it's instantly handwaved with some half assed answer while the audience laps it up facetiously.

But oh well.

"DUDE THOSE REPUBLICANS LMAO AMIRITE"

Anti feminist here. You're retarded.

If you wanted to make a point about female hypocrisy, then you should address child custodial cases being biased towards women and less jail time incurred for women. Not "hurr durr less female prisons = male oppression".
Damn you be butthurt because somebody didn't read this part in the OP

"More men are convicted than women"
So what are you suggesting? That we should totally reduce the rate of convicted men simply because they're more frequent than women?

I'm not arguing in circles. I'm trying to figure out why you think it's okay to dismiss the Bible as outdated, but not God.

Why does it matter?
As I said to you last time, I'm trying to understand what other people believe.

Its pointless.
Trying to understand what other people think is pointless?

That explains a lot about you.
Because it truly is pointless. No human can ever truly know what goes on in the mind of another. Repeatedly interrogating a person's beliefs is not going to magically make them agree with you and tell you what you want to hear.
There's a difference between verbally bullying someone into submission and questioning another person's beliefs in order to bring clarity to the subject. If you don't want to be involved in that, fine. It's your prerogative. But don't ever tell someone that their effort in understanding a differing perspective is futile. It just looks like a cop out answer, and doesn't enlighten or help the inquisitor sympathize with your belief.

Serious / Re: Thoughts about abortion?
« on: October 13, 2014, 09:52:11 AM »
Regardless of one's ethical stance on abortion, it's absolutely paramount that it remain medically sound and legalised for the health and well being of the woman. Criminalising abortion only leads to malpractice and an increase in mortality/morbidity rates amongst pregnant women attempting to undertake abortions without the aid of a medical professional. Even if you do find it morally reprehensible, it's pretty much the lesser of two evils at this point.
I'm very hesitant that illegal clinics will spurt up everywhere. Show me numbers of the current illegal abortions being conducted and I'll think differently but I feel that's just as much of a valid argument as voter IDs are necessary to reduce voter fraud
I never said "illegal clinics" so I would very much appreciate you not putting words in my mouth. By malpractice and illegal abortions I was more thinking along the lines of a coat hanger or a quick nudge down the stairs, since you know, medically sound abortions would be pretty much unavailable under a criminalised abortion system.

It's pretty hard to gauge the statistics of 'illegal' abortions since by and large, abortions are legal and easily accessible in the Western World. But if you're referring to third world shitholes, they're extremely rampant, because FUNNILY enough, abortion is heavily penalised. Africa in particular has 420,000 unsafe abortions according to WHO. Unaccessibility to contraceptives also doesn't help.

evolution hasn't even been proven yet
This is Serious. No need for that bullshit here.
It's called a "theory" for a reason. Can't say that's not serious when it's in the name.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_theory#Essential_criteria
Quote
The defining characteristic of all scientific knowledge, including theories, is the ability to make falsifiable or testable predictions. The relevance and specificity of those predictions determine how potentially useful the theory is. A would-be theory that makes no observable predictions is not a scientific theory at all. Predictions not sufficiently specific to be tested are similarly not useful. In both cases, the term "theory" is not applicable.

A body of descriptions of knowledge is usually only called a theory if it fulfills the following criteria:

It makes falsifiable predictions with consistent accuracy across a broad area of scientific inquiry (such as mechanics).
It is well-supported by many independent strands of evidence, rather than a single foundation. This ensures that it is probably a good approximation, if not completely correct.
It is consistent with pre-existing experimental results and at least as accurate in its predictions as are any pre-existing theories.
It can be subjected to minor adaptations to account for new data that do not fit it perfectly, as they are discovered, thus increasing its predictive capability over time.
It is among the most parsimonious explanations, economical in the use of proposed entities or explanatory steps. (See Occam's razor. Since there is no generally accepted objective definition of parsimony, this is not a strict criterion, but some theories are much less economical than others.)

Depends on the purpose and what level of pain the animal receives.

If it's for beauty products/cosmetics then they can fuck right off with that shit. If it's for medicinal research/the cure for cancer or something then I fully approve.
