The Flood / Re: Minimum wage raising is pretty bad
« on: May 31, 2015, 12:40:51 AM »
I work for Starbucks and they had a company wide raise. The problem is not only did the prices increase by a few cents, but entry level baristas were making the equivalent of 1-2 year senior baristas. There's a protest against it. I wasn't really mad I had just gotten a raise so it just increased my pay further, but the do need to implement a better balance of the scales for baristas who have worked 1+ years before the pay increase.

Also I am always the one who says that minimum wage increases can create inflation, and therefore can potential do more harm than good.

Hate to say it, but I had issues trying to connect to here with Sep7agon. I mean the update recently is nice, but it isn't really relevant to me anymore.

Sorry. :/

Don't be sorry for being honest. That's what I asked for, and I know it's not that great of an app, or well liked for that matter. So thanks Deci for responding! :3

She should be locked up. it's only a matter of time until she hurts someone else. I don't give a shit what she does to herself.

I couldn't agree with you more. The judge who decided that she deserved a second chances is considered to be one of the toughest judges in our area and is intolerable to drug charges. Him letting her skip jail was the biggest mistake.

no i don't lol

i don't have to accept shit

I didn't want to accept it, but after over a decade of trying to convince her, show her the path she was on, and how to correct things to avoid that path she ignored it time after time, and I became jaded. I was tired of having my heartbroken by my best friend because she couldn't stop herself.

I would know when she was using hard drugs again, because she would stop talking to me.

I'll see about keeping it if I can get the ads removed, but otherwise it will go. I mean, I realize it's popular (somewhat; I think your number is a little skewed, since I am subscribed but don't use it and I bet others are as well) but I don't think it's right to have that kind of advertisement policy in place. The ads aren't helping Sep7agon at all when you use Tapatalk.

I would not make up numbers.
I understand where you are coming from.

Oh no, I'm not talking about the total you quoted. I'm arguing that I don't think anywhere near that number actually use the app and are just subscribed because they never bothered to unsubscribe.

That's true, and that's why I started this poll to get a better representation of the amount of active app users.

Only a few responded so it's obviously not too popular. I know there are. those who express their distaste for the app within other threads, so that's probably why no response. Obviously an uninteresting and irrelevant topic.

Edit: Also, it is quite impressive to see that 181 accounts have subscribed regardless of how many people are actually active on tapatalk, or not. There were only a few other forums that I looked at that had that many subscribers. When I started in April I recall the number being closer to 100 than 200 subscriptions. You could probably access that information from tapatalk though.

I thought you were into rapping and going to bust a rhyme.
Ayy I got you covered.

Drastically my rhymes drop to produce catastrophes of the illest kind.
Emphatically enabling hallucinations of the mind to form the design of rap synergy.
Lyrically I induce energy levels beyond your mundane human sensitivity.
Inevitably, phenomenal forms begin to multiply infinitesimally.
Like fractal dimensions, they diverge into a singularity of supremacy.
And when I meditate to higher states of being, where the ego begins depleting.
Your defeat is revealed immediately, collected and perfected tediously.
One could never hope to impeach the king of rhymes so needlessly.

Holy shit dude!
Mad skills!!!

I use the app daily, multiple times a day.
I don't like to use my browser on my iphone (yes I tried dolphin) it's just too glitchy because my phone is outdated.

I also use it for the forum that I am an admin on, so I know it has moderator capabilities which can come in handy.

Dear Cheat,
I am not trying to betray your decision on the matter, because this is your forum, and you can do with it as you will (I know I'm pretty much a nobody here), but I'm interested in how many people actually use tapatalk. On the app it says that there are 181 members subscribed to Sep7agon. Removing the app may decrease activity on your forum.

Dear Sep7exist,
If you DO NOT use the app, that is fine please click "no", and if you must explain as to why tapatalk isn't your cup of tea then please do so in a non-trolling matter (at least try to).

If you DO use tapatalk to access sep7agon obviously click "yes", and please reply with how often you use it ie.: once a month, once a week, once a day, or multiple times a day.

Thank you for your time! :3

Awww there goes my instant access. Oh well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one....
We should make a semi-official poll about it! :D

I think it's a good idea, but idk Cheat seems pretty set on it, and I agree that tapatalk shouldn't be earning money off of it, but I think activity would decrease.

Should the poll ask members of they use tapatalk (and how often), or should it just ask for their opinions of if they think cheat should remove it or not?

Edit: also after tapatalk included the adds they also updated the app which has proved a better experience.

The Flood / Re: What is the Definition of "Weeb"
« on: May 30, 2015, 08:25:55 PM »

Someone who's absolutely obsessed with Japanese culture >.>

I love and respect the Japanese culture, but I'm definitely not a weeaboo. I'm a little bit of a closet dweller when it comes to my anime tastes.

I'm not surprised that the term is not considered very derogatory here.

The Flood / Re: What is the Definition of "Weeb"
« on: May 30, 2015, 08:23:42 PM »

The term is a derivative of "Wapanese" (Wannabe Japanese)
Quote
At the peak of [Wapanese's] abuse in mid-2005, 4chan moderators devised a creative intervention using the word-filter, replacing every instance of Wapanese with “Weeaboo,” which was a fictitious term originally coined by Nicholas Gurewitch in his Perry Bible Fellowship comic strip (date unknown, comic #62):

Heh. Now I understand.
That's rather clever censorship right there.

The Flood / Re: What is the Definition of "Weeb"

Well it works vaguely like this.

Urban Dictionary has a great definition for Weeaboos which is usually what people refer to
Quote
A non japanese person who basically denounces their own culture and calls themselves japanese. They try to learn japanese through the anime they watch and usually end up pronouncing it wrong and looking like a complete idiot.

KEEP IN MIND: that a non-japanese person can like the culture, watch anime, speak the language and RESPECT THE CULTURE, while still keeping in touch with there own. Which keeps them from being a Weeaboo, japanophile, ect.

Weeb is a contraction of Weeaboo, which can usually mean the same thing but on here in general usage it's referring to any of the weebs i.e the people who watch anime. We don't have any actual weeaboos on here thankfully, because good lord they are painful to behold.

It's used as a loose insult here but I wouldn't take it to heart, it's a mildly disparaging way to refer to anyone on here who watches chinese cartoons.

Oh okay that makes more sense!
Doesn't weeaboo come from that Chinese website forum or something like that?

Also I know better than to take any insult to heart here

So what does it mean?

Looks like Cheat wants you to buy a new car.

Too bad Cheat disagrees with the moral of the ads.
