I usually hang out with my dog, go down to the river, walk around the woods, or if it's late at night or raining I stay inside and clean. The funny thing is I rarely get the munchies, and that it helps motivate me to do things instead of being lazy.

The meanings of symbols can change with use, take the swastika for example. Prior to the Nazi Party yoinking it for their own ends, it simply meant luck/prosperity/hope/w.e but now one look and *boom* Goosestepping and Panzers everywhere.
So I imagine in the same way the hippies morphing it into their own symbol of peace can be seen as a mirror of it.
I don't think I'd say it's satanic or anti-peace though, the meaning of it is pretty clear and established nowadays.
The rotated swastika used to mean "peace" to the Buddist, damn nazis at least they didn't ruin the peace sign for everyone.
My Buddhist necklace has the original symbol on it. I don't see Hitler behind that symbol though, I see my Buddha statue that wears it : )
I'm so glad we're an open bunch here

Yogurt, left over home made fried rice, left over pizza, left over home made Mongolian beef, eggs, chives, and two gallons of Arizona tea. I need to go grocery shopping...
Mongolian beef?
Beef with fresh minced ginger and garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, scallions, and sesame seeds served on steamed rice. My fiancé is Japanese.
does he look like this?

Okay what about the cross then? It was something they hung up people on my slamming nails into their palms and feet... Why is it something so endeared today?
I guess that's making your point even more valid, but still it baffles me. The image of the cross reminds me of all of the people bad Christians killed to spread their beliefs. I think to a Christian, the cross is supposed to be a symbol of humility and reverence. It's a recognition of Jesus, because he died for our sins and all that nonsense. That's what it's supposed to remind you of, I think. The glory of god and such.
As for the upside-down cross, historically, after Jesus's supposed crucifixion, there were a few individuals who were crucified upside down, because they were deemed unworthy of dying in a similar way to the lord & savior. So the reason why Satanists use it kind of confuses me--because it's also a symbol of Christian humility. It's like Satanists are admitting they're not worthy, or something. lol
I have nothing against Christianity and was baptized by choice when I was 15. I think it's funny that Satanist use the upside down cross and even more so that Christians are insulted by it since they deemed the symbol unworthy of God.

Indeed, it was quite surreal walking around a buddhist shrine and seeing golden swastikas carved into everything. That's the way it goes though, for a more amusing one you have the V-sign.
Way back when in the 1300s an archers salute was the ultimate insult to the frog cavalry, to compliment them on their inability to cut the saluter's fingers off but fastforward a few hundred years and boom, churchill uses it for 'Victory/Peace' and suddenly all the hippies are walking around doing the peace sign that was originally used as a battlefield insult.
Oh damn I remember glancing at the meaning of the "v-sign" didn't realize it was that morbid! Symbols in general are interesting. The pagan 5 pointed star represents the balance of the five elements, and it's considered the sign of satan because of ignorance.

That seems pretty silly. Conversely, the swastika is a symbol historically associated with notions of life and good luck in ancient Chinese culture, but you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who's willing to look past its darker connotations.
A symbol by itself means nothing. The intent behind the symbol is all that really matters. Context is everything.
edit:
ninja'd by a ninja, but the point still stands

Punch their throats.
The eat out their fucking voice boxes.
After that, stab their legs repeatedly.
If they're still alive, slowly penetrate your knife in their chest slowly until you see their life force exit their eyes.
Much violence Like Yu said that would be illegal and I much rather like my freedom <3 you made me smile though so thanks

On Saturday I was helping out with my friend's daughter's 5th birthday party which was cowgirl/cowgirl themed. We had brought handkerchiefs for the guest's children to go along with the cowboy hats so they could dress up as cowgirls and Cowboys. One of the handkerchiefs had peace signs on it and a little girl grabbed for it as her mother slapped it out of her hand claiming "That is a BAD symbol and I refuse to let you wear that one pick another one! It goes against God!". The girl got upset and decided against choosing a handkerchief. My friend's mom then asked what the matter was and the woman explained that the peace sign is satanic because it is an upside down cross. I was curious so I looked it up. There is a website called teach peace ( http://www.teachpeace.com/peacesymbolhistory.htm) that tells the story of the peace symbol. Yes it was believed to have been created by a hippy in 1958 to represent Goya's peasants standing before a firing squad with their arms stretched out, and to promote equality and peace, but it goes back further than that. It was used by Hitler's 3rd Panzer division between 1941 and 1945, and can be found on the tombstones of some Nazi grave sites. The symbol is also considered to be the "Nero cross" which is said to represent the "broken Jew". Apparently the symbol was also used as a backdrop for Anyon LaVey's Church of Satan, because it represents the death of man. It is interesting to see how such a symbol that is mainly associated with peace, love, and happiness today can have such a dark and demented past. What do you think? Is the peace symbol really satanic and anti-peace?

I get yelled at while I'm on here now, because They consider it me ignoring them despite never being spoken to...
Wait what
I try to talk to them, but they ignore me... So that's why I am constantly on here trying to get some form of social interaction, but now it's a problem for them.

I haven't been on very much because I get yelled at while I'm on here now, because They consider it me ignoring them despite never being spoken to... I'm supposed to sit there like a good girl and space out and do nothing but wait on them to give me attention. Fuck that. They never respond when I talk to them. Here's a picture of Picasso kitty.
