The Flood / Re: Ouija Boards
« on: August 04, 2015, 08:22:50 AM »

I'm a Christian, but even if I wasn't I wouldn't fuck around with it. The stories I've heard is enough of a deterrent.

What does being Christian have to do with using Ouija boards or not? Does it say it in the bible to not use them? I'm seriously curious because I haven't read the bible all the way through only bits and pieces really.
Talking to the dead and screwing with demons is a pretty obvious taboo.

But Jesus was resurrected right?  Isn't that screwing with the dead? O.o

If smoking did anything good for anyone else, then sure, it would be rational (and noble) not to care about the health issues.

...But it obviously doesn't.
So... It's obviously one of the dumbest things you could ever do.

But not because it's an "unnecessary hassle to everyday life", or because it hurts your fucking wallet.
that's just garbage

it's so frustrating when people do the smart thing for STUPID reasons
or the right thing for wrong reasons

really, truthfully, the only correct response is, ''i would never smoke, ever, because smoking is fucking stupid"
there is no reason anyone should ever have any desire to smoke--period
that's why i just smoke weed instead :^)
smoking anything is bad for you
well yeah obviously, but there's no solid evidence that moderately smoking weed causes significant damage to your lungs. there's actually a study that compared cigarette and weed smokers over a period of 20 years or so and there was no evidence of decreased lung functionality in the weed smokers, while the cigarette smokers' had noticeable adverse affects (obviously). http://www.ucsf.edu/news/2012/01/11282/marijuana-shown-be-less-damaging-lungs-tobacco

of course, if you're a heavy weed smoker (by heavy i mean more than once a day), your lungs are going to pay. but vaping takes out that risk completely.
well yeah
i know it's safer, but smoking anything isn't good for you no matter what

Why would anyone ever start smoking.
"herp a derp im cool now" isn't a reason.
it takes the edge off, and a lot of people just kinda enjoy the sensation of smoking. i know i do.

most people start smoking because theyre curious re: why so many people do it

I actually started smoking because my parents smoked while I was a kid and they stopped when I was about 15 and that's also when I started smoking. I was having nicotine withdraws because they would both chain smoke in our house.

Also, I had really shitty friends.
oh geez, im sorry to hear that. how did your walls hold up? i hear smoking a lot indoors is suuuper bad for the interior.
It ruins paint and can discolor wood trim.
The tar also sticks to walls.

I washed the walls/ceiling of this house once... like, it was disgusting. The water got brown fast. It looked like a bucket of mud when I was done.
I missed a spot on the ceiling. The difference in color was utterly astounding.

Yeah I cleaned the inside of my car front window and the paper towel turned brown from the smoke residue. It was disgusting and that's what I was putting in my lungs. My friend just came over and offered me a cig and I turned it down. I am proud of my little victories today.

On my way back. My grandmother couldn't come with us because my grandfather has been sick. It really broke my great grandma's heart.
Also the first birthday we've had without my uncle, and my aunt is in the ICU due to leukemia and depression from my uncle passing.

I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope and pray that your grandfather and aunt get better soon!

But they actually had their own party for her at their house in florida and sent her pictures. That was great ^______^
Hooray for parties!

So apparently this guy on my forum is Dustin:
Spoiler

I've never met Dustin before in my entire life, but he came to werevolt just to target Deci.
I think that is top troll material imo.

However....

Also here's a bonus:
Spoiler

Yes Camnator joined my forum and was one of the most active members there.
how active is your forum? i kinda miss the proboards layout

It's completely dead since Deci deleted his account, and Camnator is away on a month trip into the wilderness away from society.

as in it would burn the back of my throat and I couldn't stomach the taste.

Dial back your power settings.

I can do that now that I have a regulated mod but before I had a mechanical mod and the best I could do for that was build different coils.

i smoke, have done for like nearly 4 years now. no point in quitting

Because those Cancer sticks are going to kill you
but im going to die anyway??

Lol that's what I said for almost 9 years and then I saw how terrible of death it is.
as much as i fucking hate those goddamn truth commercials, theyre all right. it is an awful way to die, because it usually just fucks your body over a prolonged period of time eventually culminating in something absolutely terrible.

but seriously, fuck the truth campaign.

Yeah living with emphysema is like living with someone constantly kicking you in the stomach knocking the air out of you.

Today is day 3 of quitting smoking. It's been really difficult and I've been rather on edge. I'm slightly cheating since I've dropped the fags and picked up a vaporizer but it's supposedly better for you, and when I start having a bad nicotine withdraw that makes me watch to rage and destroy everything in my path I just pick up my vaporizer and puff away. I'm using a juice with the lowest amount of nicotine available from my local e-smoke shop. I plan to taper off of the nicotine and eventually stop caring as well.
Best of luck to you, but I would like to point out that you can make the withdrawal a lot easier by starting with something other than the lowest nicotine level.   Starting in the mid-levels (12-16mg) will allow you to match previous nicotine levels while you adapt to vaping (it's different than smoking and there is an adjustment) and THEN go with progressively lower nicotine concentrations to wean yourself down.

Otherwise, you're likely to end up chain-vaping to satisfy your nicotine addiction (lower concentrations means you'll need to vape more than you smoked in order to meet those cravings) and are at a higher risk of going back to smoking cigarettes.

Vaping does a good job of providing you with a measured amount of nicotine and doesn't have all of the other contaminants and toxins that are in tobacco.   Moving to vaping immediately reduces your health risk, and when you're used to using it as a replacement, you can then take measured steps to reduce and finally eliminate your nicotine.   Done well, you won't have any cravings or go mad from your body wanting more.

No matter what, you've done something good and positive for your health and I wish you the best of luck with your efforts.
I went for 8 mg, same as what I usually smoke.

I tried 8mg but it was "too strong" as in it would burn the back of my throat and I couldn't stomach the taste. The amount of nicotine in your vape juice can alter the flavor. Usually the more the nicotine the harsher it is to "smoke" it.

I also greatly appreciate the support and advice!

How in the world did you find it then?
I did a reverse image search of someone's avatar from steam. Search results yielded links to threads where that user posted while they were using that exact same avatar.

Hooray I'm not the only one who found Sep7 by chance!
How'd you get here then? Both the member I'm talking about and myself were originally from Bungie.net?

Oh... I found it on tapatalk I guess I'm cool with being OG and finding it on my own.

i smoke every now and then

never felt addicted or obligated to continue smoking

last time i smoked was like a month ago and i just haven't felt like it since

I wish I had been like that, but my whole day revolves around smoking and it got to a point that I couldn't have deep conversations with my friends without chain smoking. I've known multiple people who were just social smokers, but I was never able to just occasionally smoke.

I'm using a juice with the lowest amount of nicotine available from my local e-smoke shop. I plan to taper off of the nicotine and eventually stop caring as well.

I have smoked cigarettes for almost nine years now and I have tried to quit multiple times, but every time I tried I would get to the second day some one would either A) throw a pack of cigarettes at my raging self, or B) I would break and buy a pack myself. So I am proud of myself for getting to day 3.

I started smoking when I was 15, and I regret it more than any other stupid decision I have made in my life. I knew it was bad for me but I didn't care I would tell others "well something has to kill me". Well what has changed since then? I have watched multiple family members be diagnosed with, and then die from emphysema. My uncle came to visit my new apartment which is on the 3rd floor with no elevators. When he decided to leave it took him 15 minutes to make it down to the floor level, and he was unable to breathe for hours gasping for breath until my aunt finally convinced him to go to the hospital. My aunt who is already tiny and frail naturally is unable to walk without having an oxygen mask on, and I watched my fiancé's grandfather and my great aunt in their final stages of life. They could have lived longer if only they had stopped smoking.

I've seen that most of the members on here are opposed to smoking and I am so happy for that, because smoking controls and destroys your life. If you ever get the urge to try smoking cigarettes I beg you not. Also, I am sorry for the long post I am currently on my lunch at work fighting with myself to not go to he gas station to pick up a pack of fags.

I'm curious if there are any current or ex-smokers that have gone are are going through this as well.
