Gaming / Favorite Board Games
« on: August 26, 2015, 06:13:04 PM »
Talisman, Splendor, Risk, Twilight Imperium, Dungeons and Dragons, Traveller

Oh wow a lot of those I haven't heard of! I know of Risk (which I've played once) and of course D&D which I've never actually played. The closest to D&D would be larping since it was D&D based. Are the other games mentioned also strategy games?

I wasn't aware new staff members without any actual power made the rules now.
Did something change when I wasn't looking?

I'm not making any rules -.-

Clue is an amazing game, and Monopoly ruins relationships.

"5. You Have No Rights. Play Nice.

If you disagree with a moderating decision, contact a member of the staff via Private Message, or post a serious thread on the matter in Septagon...."

I understand that not everyone is going to agree with what the mods decide to do, but simply saying you'd rather have something over the other without reason or just for the lulz isn't helpful. Also you guys are going off topic.
1. No one is breaking a rule here, just natural progression of a conversation

2. You're a Monitor not a mod and I promise you nothing will get you hated by the community quicker than being a forum cop so I'd suggest you'd slow your roll on reminding people of the rules.

Going from monitors to talking about mod preference is not progression imo, and you're right I am not a moderator I am a monitor.

There are just days I want to sit down and play a board game instead of staring mindlessly into a tv or computer screen. I have a small collection of board games including Life, Monopoly, Apple to apples, and Jenga.

My favorite board game would have to be Words Against Humanity, because laughing is good for your health, and there are some great lulz with that game.

So what is your favorite board game?

You can't change your past. All you can do is put it behind and not make the same mistakes again.
Except he's still a furry and you're still you.

I'm a better person than you'll ever be at least. You may get respect for being a douchebag in douchebag land, but at least I get respect in real life.

So go ahead. Hog all the forums you want. You have no life.

See? There you go again. You have nothing intelligent to say and you just keep retorting to the same responses.
Why would I waste my intelligence on you when I can write a 3 word response and get hilarious results.

Because you don't have any intelligence to begin with.

Guyse please stay on topic.

Those are pretty rad! I like the rusted fence barricade door.
I think it's a modern addition to keep people from climbing the stairs, but I'm not sure.

Still adds to the omniance. I would wanna turn that area into a haunted house kind of area.
It's be the perfect atmosphere for a dark halloween party.

Want me to Google that for you?

One of the reasons that it is used is to ensure that people who may be following the conversation know where the thread was moved to, and don't just think the mods deleted it.

I try to only use it for a contentious or hot thread.
Those were my thoughts as well. I just don't see the reason for it for a newly birthed thread or one that has two or three replies or one that someone accidentally made in the wrong board.

That's actually a good point! Using the locked thread to notify when hot topics are moved, and not using them for quick movement of a newer thread.  I'll keep all of this in mind. Thanks guyse! Constructive criticism is crucial for success.

”Shitposting”, or posts that add little discussion value to the forums, are not encouraged – however, they remain allowed under the rules."

So technically you're not violating any rules; however, still shitposting.

4577
I agree. We don't need pointless locked threads everywhere signalling one got moved.
I honestly think a few of the staff members don't know that its a thing. Cheat, did at least, just give people powers without giving any kind of how to or lesson. Like I remember when I became mod he literally just said "have fun, please don't break anything" and I had to figure out everything myself. Not sure if that's still how things work but yeah.

I'm used to proboards and IPB so it's a little different than what I'm used to, but I think I've got it now. I appreciate the advice though it helps things run a bit smoother when the community works together.

Also they did give us a quick tutorial when we joined. However, it was human error and not the system.

4578
Still learning the ropes so please bare with us this morning!
Thank you for your guidance.

Neither really matters if your face is fuckin ugly.

Butterfaces: you can put a bag over their head and call it kinky, but at the end of the day they're still buttass ugly.
The whole time you're with them though?

Eh that might get a bit weird....

Oh I'm not expert I prefer to eat popcorn as a meal replacement >.> I just know a few pointers. Like men need to stay away from soy products. It will give you boobs.
I know some dues who would love extra soy in their diets tbh.

>.> well tell them to be careful because consuming a lot of soy can increase your chance of male breast cancer. Moderation is key to everything.

What does your diet consist of atm?
About 70% cafeteria pizza atm but I'm not gaining any weight.

That's because you're eating only simple carbohydrates you need lots of protein to get buff, but too much protein will make you chubby if you don't exercise enough. Try including broccoli and black beans into your diet. Dark leafy greens like kale and spring mix are really good for you as well since they're high in fibers they can help digest the protein. Also don't drink any sugary drinks. Drink mainly water, and if you need something with flavor try unsweetened green tea and/or coffee with heavy cream. Skip the nonfat shit you need good whole fat to get your muscles ripped, but you have to work out daily. Also, don't skip leg day.
what kinds of workouts should I do?

I honestly don't know any exercises; however, if you go to the gym there is usually someone you can talk to about what machinery you should be using to achieve your gains.
