Serious / Re: How would you help gun control in the U.S.
« on: August 28, 2015, 10:18:32 AM »
I do not support gun control, because I believe every mentally mature adult deserves the right to own a gun if they wish to.

However, in saying that they need to have a mental health screening before selling them a gun. Although, that brings up the issue of buying guns as gifts for others.

I think if you own a gun you should have some form of ID proving good mental health, the make and model of gun(s) owned, and it should have to be renewed/retested every 5 years or so.

But let's be realistic this is America we're talking about.

Gaming / Re: Favorite Board Games
« on: August 28, 2015, 03:00:46 AM »

There was this one where the Dice was in a plastic dome in the center of the board, and to roll it, you had to press the hemisphere in, which would trigger a mechanism that launched the dice up, but I forget the name.

Was it "Sorry"?

For some reason this also reminded me of "Mouse Trap" which is a pain in the ass to construct but fun to play.

Deci you are a good person. You let things get to you from time to time, but don't we all? You do tend to hold grudges, but that's something that takes time to heal to get over. You do start some interestingly good threads here that's for sure!

Thanks Kitsune. That means a lot.

^.^ others might not see it, but I can tell you're doing your best to break that cycle. You just gotta remember trolls are gonna troll and you gotta ignore them and to roll with the punches.

So why did they lump them together? Is it's they can support all "abnormal" sexual preferences? If so what about the otherkin? How long until they add an "oh" to that acronym?
Otherkin isn't a sexual preference, it's a disease.

I would like to agree since there are some apparent mental issues with otherkin identity; however I can't help but think how that sounds exactly like what some would say about the LBTQIA+...

Spoiler
otherkin rub me the wrong way, but as long as they're not interfering with my life I don't care if they identify as a sexual toaster.
Because the gay community is rife with people in possession of personality disorders who make it a joke for everyone else.
The trans community has it even worse.

A few bad eggs spoils the batter I suppose. I've never had an issues with anyone with a different sexual orientation than my own except for ignorant straight people who think that others can change their sexual orientation. That's when I ask can you make yourself eat and truly enjoy a dish that you hate? I don't think so.

Serious / Re: If America were to have a Communist revolution...
« on: August 27, 2015, 10:17:31 AM »
Religious Communist.
This is an oxymoron.

You don't say. That's why I believe that would be the easiest way to confuse ignorant Americans into converting to communism. Especially the easily brainwashed and manipulated.

So if we were going to have a Communist revolution Christian Communism would make a lot of logical sense. Christianity is one of the most dominant faiths in America, one of the most infamous religions known for their global conquest, and we all know how much American's love their football and God. It would be easiest to convince and achieve mass conversion to Communism by just slapping Jesus' face on everything. However, luckily for us  there has been a noticeable increase in those who identify as "unaffiliated", and a decrease in Christianity (-7% within 7 years). This implies that people are waking the fuck up. Which is nice to know that our generation isn't completely fucked and not brainwashed children of the '50's.
Christians would never comply with communism being that it was founded on secularism and Marx himself was an athiest.

I thought we agreed it was an oxymoron. You may be giving more credit to America's intelligence level than I am.

If this were to ever catch the positive attention of a woman in your life hold on to her because "marriage is sacred".

I'm honestly more curious as to how many people that would make laugh rather than pissed off. Hmm..

I don't know much about bikes, but I've been told that old school Honda's are reliable and sturdy after being restored.
I'm sure they are, but what I'm looking for is something that won't be too difficult to restore. This will be my first rebuild.

Honda's aren't too difficult to rebuild because iirc parts are usually universal between models.
If you look online and search "easy motorcycle  rebuild" honda is one of the first names you should see.
Also, they have rebuild kits online if you search.

I'm going to assume you know more about motorcycles than I do since you are wanting to rebuild one, so I suggest doing more research online for sure!

Most likely would end up declared as Religious Communist.
I think it's about time they finally just tie the knot for state and religion, or at least finally let them wear their rings in public.

"Our speakers will show you:
Why the vocation of marriage is a path to sanctification
Practical methods to strengthen your marriage and family life
How to defend marriage to those who do not understand it
How you can be part of the restoration of marriage today
And much, much more!"

>.> I hate how they act so entitled and superior.
"how to defend marriage to those who do not understand it"
if they don't "understand" it, then why would you need to defend it? Obviously, because we're sinners and they want to save our souls by ramming the word of God down our throats.

Translation:

"Our speakers now will show you:
- Why we are homophobic because a preacher touched us.
- How to properly beat your wife when she leaves the kitchen.
- How to bash sinners who don't conform to our superior beliefs.
- How to be brainwashed into giving us all your money
AND MUCH MUCH MORE!"

"Join now!"

Frustration.
And unless there's a similar game I'm unaware of, Cards Against Humanity is, rather obviously, a card game. Not a board game.

Well I find it to be a bored game :3
