OT: moved out since I turned 18.
We've lived in this apartment for 2 years (this will be our 3rd year) so when we first got the apartment we were paying $875 a month. It's really sad how much it has gone up since then.
Yeah, I lived in a few places around Dublin. The problem with Dublin is that people here didn't really plan things out - so everyone built their own house in an urban area. Now imagine, NY city center that looks like suburbs - retarded right? That's the shit they pulled off here - so rent is a-premo and no one has their own living space, everyone has to rent out rooms in a shared house. and some of the rooms cost almost as much as an apartment.
I lived in a pretty cool apartment for a year now - and the lease is about to end this August so I will be moving into my very own apartment closer to work.
Dublin should be just demolished and new high-rise apartment built up.
Sounds like Atlanta tbh since they burnt it down in 1864 and they didn't map it out when they rebuilt it and kind of just let things happen... like look at this mess! Holy crap I just looked at Dublin never mind lmao that's worse! Dublin is more like a circle of chaos with a big river going through the middle of it whereas Atlanta just has multiple gigantic highways going through it. Still I bet Dublin is prettier than Atlanta.

No, my parents are very... "surfacey". They uphold traditions and such. My father's alright when it comes to those things, but he has no chill as a person. My mother is the opposite. She is a religious nut that can't logic but she has too much chill.
My mother cooks, cleans, complains, and my father works and doesn't talk to anyone. Whenever those two do communicate it's often trouble. You see, my father has a default scolding voice, and my mother has a default victim mode. She always tells me to get out of her sight when I'm questioning her or wanting to talk (about when she's next gonna clean the clothes, or when we'll leave the house to go somewhere) because she doesn't have the patience.
They're the worst combination to have as parents. One expects me to have good grades, but doesn't express anything, and the other only expresses without actually helping me.
Oh, and I'm 17. As soon as I get accepted into a university I'll try to move as close to that area as possible.
I'm really sorry to hear that. Your parents sound like a hell to live with, and funnily enough they sound like my parents minus the cleanliness and the actually caring about my grades... Hopefully they will help you in some way while you're off at Uni. Also Ramen noodles are really good and cheap. I know a lot of ramen hacks to make them taste really good.
