No, at least not for me, the word "nigger" is not a sensitive term imh. "Nigger" is just a word tied to a very touchy subject in America, like I said, it's just a word and shouldn't cause offense unless you're using it to describe people of a darker skin tone.
It's not a big deal to me either (I have a horrible bad word filter in real life) but saying nigger around the St. Louis area is really really stupid and could get you in a lot of trouble.
