Activision did not gut Destiny, the suits at Bungie did that. They got cold feet about Joe Satens idea that they have spent years on, the game was delayed twice. Activison gave them a deadline, Bungie would and could have released an awesome game if they didn't decide to change course. Most people just stockpile water, food, equipment, and medicine.
Anybody taking it farther than that is just being dumb and is probably not mentally stable.
Especially the ones who collect guns and ammo and keep ranting about the end of the world.
