Ouch, don't like Nolan movies either? I liked Insomnia and The Prestige. Didn't think stuff like that was considered bad... But anyways, I'm not trying to argue with you, no need to be mean. And I can agree it seems like a lot of people are trying to emulate Naughty Dog. You just don't like those types of games and that's that I guess. I don't like them all either. The Order was not very good. The shooting felt awkward. The game was short, way too short, and the story wasn't even satisfying. So I'll just end it as a difference in opinion. Or bad taste since you prefer that term. Up to you.

I watched the GamingBrit one. I can see his points. I also see on the side another video of him praising RE6. His credibility just went down with that. He also praises Metal Gear. What series has more cutscenes than MGS?

So a serious and dark story in film and games is bad? Can't say I agree. I think it should be a fun game. But I realize not everyone likes games like these. God of War has always had amazing graphics. Even back on the PS2. I promise you, people played it because they liked it, not because it was edgy or had lots of polygons. It's just an action game. You could say it's similar to Devil May Cry right?

you arent very bright are you
Uh, I just disagree. It's not walking down corridors, there's big open areas. They already said it won't be loaded with cutscenes. So all I'm saying is I don't agree with you on the point you're trying to make. You literally said it's just a bunch of polygons with a gritty tone for "retards" to enjoy. I enjoy all types of games. And I don't think it's bad if a game puts emphasis on story. The game is far bigger than any of the past ones and the combat is more than button mashing hack n slash now. They've even added RPG elements. So I was just trying to understand after all that, how the game is a movie. If you don't like it that's fine. You didn't even like the old ones, whatever. But how's it a movie? Is Gears of War a movie? And Halo? Pretty much any linear game?

Wait are people complaing about this being a “movie” game? If anything the past games were like that. They were only 8-10 hours VERY linear and with a fixed camera angle. This game isn’t open world but it’s much more open. Has side quests, crafting, abilities to upgrade, and it’s dang near 40 hours. They say around 35. But some beat it in a good bit less rushing. So I don’t understand these complaints.

I'm open to the drastic gameplay changes. And it's 30-35 hours long Barlog says. I'm so ready.

I uninstalled the game for a bit to clear space and reinstalled it yesterday and I forgot it resets everyyyyyyyyything in regards to UI and customization. So I had to spend just an hour or so retinkering everything how I mostly like it. All my hot bars reset, BLECH.
Hmm, you'd think all that stuff would be stored server side...

I really hate the new trailer setups, it's so jarring and I can barely tell what the fuck they're advertising.
Yeah, I liked how they actually had titles for each section telling you what it is. Half of this trailer looked like it was just a dungeon and the MSQ though.

I usually don't play games on high difficulties because of this exact reason. It's like they basically half your damage and health, and double the enemies. Does it offer more challenge? Yeah, but it's not fair, not what I'm looking for. I've played some Mods, where they equalize all the enemy health. So they all have the same as each other, and you. Any headshot means they're dead, or you are if they land one on you. There was also one where they could bleed out over time and die. I'd love a game where the damage model is extremely realistic. Like a survival game. You don't use many bullets, because there aren't many left. And realistically, a bullet is going to bring someone down, no matter where it hits.

You guys are joking about Battlefield right? Maybe I’m alone here but I think BF4 was a good game. Was it broken? Yeah. But technical issues aside, it’s good. BF1 is also good. Though I just couldn’t get into it as much. I found myself getting killed way too often compared to the others. It’s too chaotic in conquest and that other big mode IMO. And I miss the customization.

DICE LA made Hardline and that was uh... Not good. The team in Stockholm are the originals. They know it best. They can make good games. They made Battlefront 2 as far as I know. With another studio creating the single player. I’ve heard it’s a good game. But EA forced in those awful MTs... They also probably forced a release for BF4 knowing it wasn’t ready. So I have no problem with them making Bad Company 3. I hope they do. The LA team didn’t do a good job on Hardline though. Bottom line it shouldn’t have been made. Not under the Battlefield name.

Are you finding Horizon somewhat difficult? I did on certain parts. And the expansion, fuck... That was nigh impossible without bringing down the difficulty.

Not too bad, had a few deaths on the default difficulty. The most difficult part so far was the corrupted Rockbreaker zone. I just beat the corrupted Thunderjaw
Ah. I was playing on the 2nd most difficult, whatever it's called. They released a even harder difficulty too awhile back, doubt I'll ever attempt it.

I remember Order 1886 getting a lot of hype and then receiving a lot of flack. I never cared to look into it because I didn't have a PS4 anyways, but what's the deal with that? Short and basically just a movie?
It's a beautiful game, but not a whole lot of fun. And yeah, lots of cutscenes. Not to mention the story basically goes nowhere. All it did was set things up. IIRC, it didn't even have an ending really. It just ends.

I always preferred PS controllers. Grew up with them though.

As for games. Uncharted 4, The Last of Us if you never played it. Horizon, God of Wars if you've never played them. Infamous Second Son. Until Dawn. The Last Guardian. Shadow of the Colossus is coming out soon remastered if you've never played it. The double pack of Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain is worth it. Heavy Rain itself is very good. The expansion to Uncharted 4 is worth it too. It will actually take around 10-12 hours assuming you don't rush. Uncharted 4 took me nearly 20 hours. So they're linear but a decent length. Oh they did make an open area for Uncharted 4. All the levels are open-ish. It's not a corridor shooter. But one level is quite big. The expansion has a huge level. But it was quite a bitch to navigate around IMO. TLOU should take you around 15 hours to beat. Maybe a little more, or less. So they're all decently long. I do worry some developers are stretching it though. Linear games past 20 hours seems to be pushing it. Unless it's just right. Balrog mentioned at PSX the new God of War is about 35-40 hours long. Either that or he said 25-30. Either way that's very long for a game that isn't open world.

You guys talking about the holiday event? That's no surprise really. That's a bad decision on Bungie's part. You'd expect it to be like Overwatch. But it isn't. Starting in Season 2 everyone gets Illuminated Engrams for leveling up instead of Bright Engrams now. The holiday loot is inside Dawning Engrams. Which makes sense. However, you only get Dawning Engrams for doing certain things. You'd expect for the duration of this event for everyone to receive Dawning Engrams in place of Illuminated Engrams. But for whatever reason they chose not to do that. So you don't get much, unless you pay. Even then, it's up to RNG. But you know what? Cool. After all the backlash over the changes to the game. And now this backlash. Bungie has no choice but to remedy these issues. Bad PR. Worries Activision shareholders too. Maybe third time's the charm for Destiny. This game is in many ways leagues above Destiny. But so many of the QoL changes added to Destiny 1 still aren't in this game. That's one of the big things hurting this game. And the fact that they streamlined too many systems.

It's a dang shame fans of this game have to wait until the TTK sized expansion next fall before the game is really good just like last time. For Destiny 3, I'll wait this time.

Still haven't seen it yet due to some real life issues but I should see it sometime this week. I guess good news for those of you who didn't like it. I read JJ is directing Episode 9. Now I don't know what everyone thinks here. But most of my friends liked this movie. A few even said it's their favorite since Empire Strikes Back. But I also had quite a few who said they liked it, but thought TFA was better. So maybe JJ will change the style up again and make it his own.

The new trilogy lacks a good villain, I think. The Emperor was the ultimate evil, you knew he was there pulling shit the entire time.

I do like Kylo Ren but a leading main villain he is not.
That would be Snoke correct? Or someone else they could show later. Depending on how many movies this story lasts.

Now a lot of critics are saying TLJ is the best, even better than Empire.
I really can't understand how professional critics are saying this.
Well one thing I've heard is it doesn't go the way you think it will. Just like Luke said in the trailer. So that sounds good to me. My friend said he liked it but wouldn't call it amazing. Saying he felt things TFA was building up too are just handled too easily and thrown out. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'll have to see it first.

I liked Rouge One. I think the prequels are pretty trash. CGI was laughable, acting was bad. Especially Annakin. IMO, TFA was the best Star Wars behind Empire Strikes Back. Now a lot of critics are saying TLJ is the best, even better than Empire. Something has people salty with this movie. Really divisive so far.

Well no... This is better than The Dark Below, but that's a very low bar. At the end of the day, this is more Destiny, and that's it. It will be months before Bungie rolls out all the patches to change this game up. Heck, probably gonna have to wait till September when the real expansion comes out for the game to be where it needs to. I'll put in some more time with this DLC, it's new content, but I still await changes.

Yeah I've been playing it. I don't mind it, but I honestly miss the old Assassins Creed. By that I mean just the movement, way things work, etc. This game is basically a soft reboot and it's kind of sad to see the old formula be completely gone. I feel it was fine and you could just work on combat from that, and I miss from the last two installments how it was a Hitman style assassination kinda thing where it showed you a cutscene of things going down at the assassination event, and you could have multiple ways to get to your target and get kills.

It feels kinda plain so far in this one.
I haven't played much of it yet, but I'm enjoying it. I'm glad it changed a lot personally. Though I understand some don't like change, at least not a lot.

It ain't bad. Runs smoothly. Just minor hitches. Looks great and it's fun. I have fun exploring. I was worried about the combat. It looks a little off. Just rough animations I guess. But the combat is actually good. Way better than Unity or Syndicate. A much need change for the series.
