One of Trump's more notable speeches in relation to Gitmo is "We're gonna put a lot of bad dudes in there!"

Let's hope he doesn't do anymore of that.
Well I've been watching some stuff. Oliver Stone's The Untold Story Of America. Most of it I already know. Though, each episode makes me think less and less of my country. Anyways. The photos of those prisoners in there were awful. A bush quote. "I don't care about international law, we're gonna kick some ass" The fuck man... IF they're proven guilty, that would be one thing. But this is just like oh, you're suspected, so, you don't have right anymore, fuck you.

I've played like 5 hours. Graphics are good. Though outside, the vegetation seems to be blurry and low-res. It runs very smoothly. Shooting is good, has a tense feel to it. The game is very creepy. And it's scared me more than once. Puzzles are too easy, and too few of them. And as a warning, this game is fucked up. Was surprised how gory it really is. I'm very interested to see how this ties into the others. I can already say this is the best one since 4.

You know what else is unconstitutional? The NDAA. Drone strikes. What goes on in Guantanamo. PRISM. Let's hope he doesn't do anymore of that. Or stuff like pedaling false intelligence so you can go to war. Going to war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.

An issue with that though is the US, along with Nato/EU, has helped maintain the global peace, and when you have countries like Russia looking to tear both of those apart, and Trump say "these countries can do what they want", then it's pretty bad.

Especially since Russia is bully/invasion happy, and China is building islands all across the ocean. But I guess the status quo is never good for people.

The ironic thing is, this all came to be after WW2. And just as the last of the WW2 vets are dying, we're all seeing a change and losing sight of the stability all of this stuff set up has brought us.

Also, the US military doesn't really meddle in those countries with bases. They're there for if we have to put more people around with our allies. Our special ops do the meddling, but really, the US military is just one big huge deterrence.

I do agree though that we shouldn't pump so much money in our military and SHOULD focus on things like infrastructure, which is something I am supportive of.
Can't really argue with that. Putin honestly doesn't seem like that bad of a guy to me. I've watched a lot of his videos. But it could just be called propaganda I suppose. But I have heard there's worriers Trump will sit back, as supposedly Putin will want to reclaim the countries formerly in the Soviet Union. But again, how can we talking about Russia after what we've done?

1973   Chile The CIA sabotaged Salvador Allende's first election in 1964, and failed to do so in 1970 (when they also tried to kill him). The military was encouraged to be hostile and in Sept 1973 the government was overthrown, Allende dying in the process. The generals closed the country to the outside world for a week, tanks rolled, soldiers broke down doors, stadiums rang with the sounds of execution and bodies piled up along the streets and floated in the river. More than 3,000 were executed, thousands more tortured or disappeared.

1970   Italy CIA supported the failed Borghese coup in Italy. The military attaché at the US embassy was allegedly connected to the coup organizers and one of the accused claimed that US President Richard Nixon had followed the preparations for the coup. A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by Italian newspaper La Repubblica in December 2004 confirmed this.

1964   Brazil Operation Brother Sam. The extent of CIA involvement unverifiable since some documents remain classified, but the US provided logistic support to the rebels and dispatched an aircraft carrier (USS Forrestal), two guided missile destroyers and four destroyers which to Brazil under the guise of a military exercise. The rule of democracy was replaced with a line of military dictatorships for the next 21 years, whom the US supported until at least the late 1970s.

1961   Greece   CIA-backed military coup ushers in Regime of the Colonels in Greece.

1953   Guyana From 1953-64, the UK and the US went to great lengths to prevent a democratically elected leader of British Guiana/Guyana from governing. Cheddi Jagan had tried to remain neutral and independent and was elected three times. Using a variety of tactics including general strikes and disinformation to terrorism and British legalisms, the U. S. and Britain finally forced Jagan out in 1964. John F. Kennedy had given a direct order for his ouster, as, presumably, had Eisenhower. One of the better-off countries in the region under Jagan, Guyana, by the 1980s, was one of the poorest. Its principal export became people.

1953   Iran  In 1951 the Iranian parliament voted to nationalize the Iran's petroleum industry, threatening the profits of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company. Declassified CIA documents show that Britain was fearful of Iran's plans to nationalize its oil industry and pressed the U.S. to mount Operation Ajax to depose the prime minister and install a puppet regime. Elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh and his government were replaced by the Shah (overthrown 26 years later).

1949   Syria   CIA helps overthrow the democratically elected government of Syria, bringing in the dictatorship of Husni al-Za'im. Wikipedia says "carried out with discreet backing of the American embassy".

1975   South America   Operation Condor was a campaign of political repression and terror involving assassination and intelligence operations officially implemented in 1975 by right-wing dictatorships in South America. The program aimed to eradicate alleged socialist and communist influence and ideas and to control active or potential opposition movements against the participating governments. Due to its clandestine nature, the precise number of deaths directly attributable to Operation Condor is highly disputed. It is estimated that a minimum of 60,000 deaths can be attributed to Condor, possibly more. Condor's key members were the governments in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil. The United States provided support, with Ecuador and Peru joining later in more peripheral roles.

1961 -1963 Ecuador   President José María Velasco Ibarra was overthrown by a military coup, replaced with his vice-president Carlos Julio Arosemana, who in turn was overthrown in 1963 and replaced by a more consistently anti-Communist military junta.

1961 -1962 Cuba Attempts to overthrow Fidel Castro, The Cuban Project, Operation Mongoose, Operation Northwoods

1946 -1949 Greece Intervened in a civil war, taking the side of the neo-fascists against the Greek left which had fought the Nazis courageously. The neo-fascists won and instituted a highly brutal regime, for which the CIA created a new internal security agency, KYP. Before long, KYP was carrying out all the endearing practices of secret police everywhere, including systematic torture.

Now. How much suffering has been caused by all of those? How many deaths? That is something that also needs to stop.

True, true. One thing I'm hoping for, and I know a lot of people will disagree with me here. But it seems like Trump wants to do it. Be more isolationist. I'm sorry, but you need to look after your own country before you look after others. Fuck the Middle East, help destroy ISIS and get out. We don't need to go instilling democracies around the world. Or dictators rather. Because that's what we do. Trading with others is fine, helping if there's a major war is fine. But having military bases and soldiers in dozens of countries around the world and constantly meddling in others countries affairs is something we should not be doing. In my opinion.

I wasn't specifically referring to this press they just had, but in general. Trump could lie every day for all of his four years and never reach the heights CNN, or Fox has. I disagree with Trump on a LOT of things. But when you have everyone against him, and not just him. But anyone who isn't establishment, it kinda pisses you off. Every time we have 2 main candidates, always politicians with maybe some good ideas. But they stick to the status quo. Nothing changes. You would never hear Obama or Hillary call out the media, even when they need to be called out. You'd never hear those two say they want to go after big pharma. You'd never hear those two talk bad about Saudi Arabia. You know, the people funding terrorists globally. Maybe even helped with 9/11. So it's nice to see a real person around. Instead of some shitbag. Even though there's a lot wrong with him.

I more so meant Trump can never just admit he's wrong ever and will somehow blame the media.
I know. I should have said more than of course I guess. Glad he's calling out the media on things though. Mainstream media fucking sucks. We all know it. But yeah, Trump doesn't like to be wrong.

He should stop stroking himself and get to work. Replace ACA, with a better one. Let's see that southern border tightened up. Though you don't need to go as far as a wall. I want to see him "eradicate ISIS from the face of this earth". Very interested to see how things go.
All I know is nothing will ever be his fault. Ever.
Of course. There's so many delicate snowflakes in this country. Oh my God, he's racist, he's homophobic, he's fascists. These videos I'm watching give me no hope for humanity. Fucking morons out there.

I think it's pretty safe to say gay rights will stay as they are. There won't be a Muslim ban. Though I do think it's fair enough to check the ones coming from Syria, for example, more extensively. People worry too much about this.

Why do people call Trump a fascists after what our last few presidents have done? I don't think we should build a wall. But we do need to solve that Mexican border problem. Something the other presidents don't seem to recognize. Donald Trump actually called out big pharma. Let's see if he does something about that. At least he acknowledged it. Unlike the others. He wants to be friendly with Russia? Works for me. Putting our country first also sounds cool. I had to shake my head when Obama said in his farewell address that it will continue to be important for America to bring democracy to parts of the world. No. Fuck that. Don't worry about other countries. Stay to yourself. Bringing jobs back sounds cool. I don't agree with some stuff he says. But the fact is he is offering things pieces of shit like Hilary never would. Let's see what happens. Let's see if he continues to do bullshit like the NDAA for example.

Pruning?

I agree it's too time consuming. I don't even have much time for XIV as it is already. I was mainly pointing out the social aspect though, and pruning, which I hope they don't do too much with Stormblood.
Removing skills and streamlining the rotations. For example, my Hunter on WoW. I basically press 3 buttons. That's it.

>Le Nostalrius saved WoW meme

Why would anyone want to play vanilla WoW? No one has the time for the grind a classic MMO has anymore. It's one of the main reasons FFXI had to change its formula, why WoW scrapped it completely, and why Runescape became a no-name MMO. Yeah, WoD really fucked up WoW with Twitter and Garrison bullshit, but forcing people to slog through endless bullshit isn't fun.

Why play WoW anymore? The golden age of private servers is dead ;_;
Runescape is still pretty popular. And it's not just the grinding that some people want back. Over the year abilities have been pruned to the point to where rotations are stupid easy, LFD and LFR destroyed the social aspect of the game, etc...

Yes citizen of course, just preventing Muslim terrorism, nothing to see here, move along.
And you call me a shitposter lmao

Americans will be forever ungrateful to the men who live in the shadows and do the things the rest won't to ensure the country's safety.
God bless those brave NSA agents, spending long hours in an office analyzing the illegally-obtained chat logs and nudes of private citizens.
Not talking about analysts.
God bless those brave CIA agents, working alongside our allies in Mossad to arm and train Salafi rebel groups in countries that are not allied with the US. They carry out beheadings there so that we don't get beheaded here.
LOL You're really eating up this Russian propaganda.

I'm curious, what do you think the KGB does?
Kill journalists, Chechens, maybe some political dissidents.

But they don't arm jihadists, that's for fucking sure.
America isn't arming jihadis

I'm all for better relations with Russia I guess. Putin seems like an alright guy. Like he wants what's best for his people and to work with us. Though I've been reading some stuff. Those apartment bombings in Russia sure were timed good. And kinda funny how a lot of people investigating the bombings among other things like trying to make a more liberal, free economy political party have just... Died.

I had the same situation in Jew York fam. Was a solid 3 days to download the Destiny Beta when that was a thing. I know your pain
Mine varies, but peaks at 8Mb/s It usually takes around 30 hours to download 40-50GB. Anything that's like 30GB or less I can let it run overnight and play the next day.

Prisoner of Azkaban was great. I like the last the best though. I prefer the darker tone. Order of The Phoenix was the worst IMO. I just wish they would have made all the movies 2 parts. Maybe 3 hours each. They left out a lot. Order was the biggest book but the shortest movie. Besides Deathly Hallows Part 2. Why? Speaking of actually, Chamber of Secrets Extended Edition is 6 minutes shy of 3 hours. That should have been the length of them all.
