Bungie is bringing back the original weapon slot system. Good to hear, but it should have never been taken out in the first place.
Actually they're not going back to Primary, Special, Heavy. You can if you want, but you can also do pretty much whatever they said. 3 Shotguns, 3 Hand Cannons, 3 Sniper Rifles. Pretty much any combination you could think of I suppose.

That's looking pretty good. Bungie why couldn't you launch D2 in this state???

No way it's an entirely new Fallout. Bethesda takes longer than 3 years to put out games. Unless they're getting one made externally like New Vegas.

You can customize your soldier. So that's what's up with the facepaint. From the looks of it you can customize them lots. So it's kinda less serious and a bit immersion breaking, but it's whatever.

Here's lots of info. Sounds pretty good so far.
No Season Pass Launch locations are France, Africa and Rottedam and North Africa desert Coop Mode called Combined Arms Single player War Stories return Fortifications are things like sand ags, trenches, tank stoppers. Only supports can build offensively defense fortifications such as machine guns, field cannons and are much faster at building everything. Predetermined areas to build such as at flags, can rebuild destroyed buildings Health bar is in stages, only regen up to closet stage not to 100 anymore Physical interactions - every action in the game requires a player interact for things like medkits, spotting, ammo, ledge grabbing (example: healing requires walking over to a health pack, character animation to pick it up, then start healing) No more HUD/map spotting, spotting is based on movement/changes around you Much less ammo on spawn, out of ammo after a few fights, but more ways to resupply ammo in the battlefield from packs, crates, or grabbing small amounts of ammo off of bodies (all requires physical interactions) Revive system has a full on animation, takes a few seconds to complete, no more revive trains, takes time to complete Ragdolls are server side, can now drag a downed player's body elsewhere Any class can do a squad revive, takes longer than a medic revive, does not give full health points Can call for help when down such as in the trailer Ragdolls (player bodies) effect the environment, push down grass etc. Gunplay completely changed No more visual recoil Each gun has a unique recoil pattern that can be learned and mastered Bipods easier to use and setup Bullet penetration through thin wood, sheet metal, walls Movement change, can now dive froward, backward, left and right similar to R6 Siege prone system Diving has a delay to prevent dolphin diving Crouch sprinting is in the game Can burst out of widows and commando roll, no destroying windows first Can catch, throwback or shoot grenades Less grenades because less ammo Can tow items in the game with vehicles such as previously stationary anti-air guns, teammate can use an anti-air gun while you tow it with a vehicle For example, can drive a tiger tank towing a field cannon behind it or a truck towing ammo crate to resupply teammates on the front line Destruction explodes inwards or outwards based on where the destruction happens. Throw a grenade inside of the building? The explosion sends things outside of it. Outside of it? Breaks inwards. Tank driving into a building slowly destroys a building, walls slowly crack/fall, not instant Heavily focused on squad play, instant placed in squad when joining a game New squad spawning system, squad deploy system that shows what squad mates are doing in third person in real time before the tactical map screen, so spawning on squad is kicker than spawning on tactical map screen Since squad spawning/deploying is faster than tactical map, squad wipes are serious Squads accumulate points that can be spent on "squad call-ins", only squad leader can spend them in Squad Call-ins are V1 or JB2 rockets as seen in the trailer, supply drops with ammo/health, a smoke barrage, heavy weapon pickups (not hero kits), squad only vehicles such as Churchill crocodile flamethrower tank or the Sturm tiger Elite classes are gone Behemoths are gone Large, non-fatal explosions can knock a player over Four classes are back: assault, medic, scout, support Create a solider, add them to a company of soldiers, then can customize things like gender, face look, face paint, outfit, accessories, etc. and assign them a class archtype Class archetypes highly customization Can be an assault that specializes in anti-tank or anti-infantry only, or a mix of both, etc. Highly specialized archetypes called exotics such as a recon paratrooper, stealthy short-range behind enemy lines person who uses a suppressed SMG and silent gadgets like pistols and garrotes comes with silent footsteps and throwing knives Can change and add specialization trees such as agility, flak armor, suppressive resistance The more you play a class more you get more specializations/archetypes within said class Same system for guns, pick a gun, level it up, unlock specializations and making gameplay choices in a skill tree on that gun Specializations are the only thing that affects how a gun plays or feels (ex: bipod) Five-seven elements to change on a gun to make it your own (stocks, sights, muzzles, chassis, skins, leaves on the front, cloth on back, straps, etc). Gameplay and visual customization is SEPARATE. Look of weapon is just visual without impacting gameplay, specialization is what determines how the gun plays/feels. Same system for vehicles and planes Asymmetric vehicles for teams, (ex: one team might get a big slow tank that does lot of damage, other team gets a small fast tank that does light damage) Grand Operations gamemode, each day is a full match, always advance to the next day GOs have different objectives per day Success or failure in GO days have visual and gameplay impact Day 4 only has a chance to happen if there isn't a clear winner from previous days Day 4 is last stand, limited ammo, no respawns, whoever lives to the end wins Coop mode, combined arms with a dynamic mission creator/AI that sits between SP/MP as a creative sandbox Soldiers created for a company can be used in both coop and MP, parity No news on suppression yet, uncertain if in game All logic in game is server side, not client side so changes to systems do not require a patch Promises of more communication between devs and community, roadmaps, etc. New content is called Tides of war, daily/weekly/monthly challenges with overarching chapters and questlines that give you "unique items and cosmetics" Tides of War gives new maps, game modes, limited time experiences Variety of maps with different tones such as complete crushing battlefield chaos or more slow space large maps with tempo that goes up and down Gamemodes confirmed: Grand Operations, Conquest, TDM, Domination No news on RSP The Shhhh animation from the trailer is possible to experience in game Transport vehicles are alive on the map and can jump into them Combat vehicles spawn from tactical deployment map

Looks cool to me. I'm not gonna let my feelings get hurt over race or sex. Judging by the dislike bar though... Lol

They did take away single player. Though the vast majority of people don't touch it anyways. And it's been awhile since COD had a good campaign.

I don't see anything wrong with adding a BR mode. And if you don't like the idea of skins and emotes... Don't buy them?

Avalanche is collaborating with iD on this. If I'm not mistaken, Avalanche made the Mad Max game. So I can definitely see them helping out the vehicle combat and the open world.

So you did read what I said when I say the game doesnt do that right? It does. I've seen it. This is not up for debate.
If you played the game youd see that the story does service the gameplay, as the gameplay never stops to tell a story it all happens at the same time.
You don't even know what "service" means. Yes, the game does stop to tell a story, but that's not even what I'm talking about.
But really. Combo throwing the axe and returning it and flinging it straight back like an OP Thor is a pretty fucking fun experience.
It's akin to dangling keys in front of an infant. There's no substance there.
Evidently he has not gotten far into the video since Britt talks about how shallow the combat is
There's a lot more to it than the originals. More to it than a lot of newer games really.

Well, for those that have played it... Anyone been to Muspelheim? Some of it is so hard, and the 8 Valkyries... My God. I hate to, but I gotta drop the difficulty.

the combat is quite satisfying, and, although I havent beaten it yet I've gotten my fill for the cash I paid
Never gets old recalling the axe. The side content is great. It really is. One in particular is hard as balls. I really enjoyed the story, and the graphics are just amazing. Arguably the best looking game this gen.

If not, try giving it a chance. To call it a movie is simply wrong. Since that was the sentiment of a lot of people on here. The game is nothing like The Last of Us/Uncharted or those types. It's surprisingly big, the combat has lots of options. And man is it hard.

I don't care what anyone says, once TTK came out I LOVED Destiny. I liked it before, even with all it's faults. But TTK changed things so much for me and many others. Why Bungie did you have to change so much for Destiny 2? I'll never understand.
Because fuck quality, its all about $$$$
Making Destiny 2 with all Destiny 1 systems still in place would almost certainly result in more money. But ah well I guess. There won't be any major changes until the September expansion. And I won't hold out hope for most players returning, but hey I could be wrong. I feel sad about it myself. But if the game becomes great in September, I'll buy it, why not? I won't buy anymore from them without waiting until after it's released though.
Yeah, I'm still not going to buy Destiny 2.
Yeah, and that's fine, some people will object over some feeling of principle or something, it's whatever. I don't care, if a game's good it's good, end of story. I have the game already, so if it becomes good again later, I have no problem playing it again.

They have previews up for the game. Still looks good to me. Combat seems more interesting than I thought it would be. And I think some people are being unfair calling it a movie after seeing more definitely. The game actually doesn't have cutscenes. Didn't know that till I watched these videos.

What do you expect? A good bit of people think the shooting was fake. And call the kids on CNN and stuff crisis actors. I'm not sure if the Youtube comment section is full of Russian Bots or if there's really that many people sucking Trumps dick saying fake news.

Calling it now. They opened a portal to another galaxy/universe/dimension. And that's where the monsters came from.

Yeah, all he did was lie and take credit for continuing Obama's trends. Like black unemployment, been dropping since 2012. Dow Jones is high now, but has been rising since like Obama's 2nd year. It also had higher gains during the same amount of time between the two. Trump likes to talk about illegals but Obama deported way more than he has, within the same amount of time.
I like a lot of Libertarian ideas, some say it's close to anarchy but I disagree. So call that radical if you want. I also think murders should receive an automatic death sentence. As long as it's proven without a doubt.

I've seen snow like twice my entire life. That's how rare it is here and it's snowed twice so far this winter. I love the cold though.

You killed the tree... But what about the children? You monster.
no one's gonna miss em
There are more consequences... You'll see. If you free the spirit what happens is kinda fucked though. Pretty depressing.

The way I look at it is this. The game is much less linear than before. There's leveling up and skills to choose from, and crafting. And it's a long freaking game. They could have done much less. Like an 8 hour game running through corridors.

Just don't play it lol.
God of war was never good, going a different direction with the gameplay is fine. I enjoy interactive movies and I enjoy gameplay focused games.
If you think we're lacking on the second style you haven't been paying attention to the indie scene.
because the indie scene is almost as bad in different ways.
video games just suck right now. they have for awhile.
What games have you been enjoying lately? That are more recent games.
i dont really play games anymore (because of this sort of thing). if i do its guilty pleasure stuff. the last good game i played was BOTW
Seems a bit picky to me. But hey, do you. Have you heard of Divinity Original Sin? The sequel came out recently. It's great. If you're into stuff like Baldur's Gate.

The problem with this God of War game is that it seems incredibly played-out and unoriginal. That's why no one cares about it. Action games with a close camera don't make sense. The slow combat with an emphasis on showy non-interactive kill sequences looks dull an uninspired, as though it's saying "hey look how many blood particles we can generate in real time!". It just looks boring.
Well, I'll wait and see how it turns out. I think another thing is I cling to these because there aren't many left. I know some disagree but it's as if single player is a dying genre. I don't want to play some 4 hour COD campaign either. It's needs to be a bit more significant. At least like Uncharted 4. That took me almost 18 hours. This game is even longer. So I'm willing to play all types of them. And yes, Uncharted is nothing special, unless you really enjoy the story. It has amazing graphics, and a well told story for a game, though maybe not well written. But the gameplay is nothing new, just a regular third person shooter. I can admit that. But I still enjoy it. I like my singleplayer games, and I'm sad to see less and less of them. It's all about multiplayer now, Overwatch, or Fortnite, or PUBG, or some MOBA. I wish more developers made singleplayer games. When Zelda came out it reminded me of when I was a kid. OoT was one of the first games I ever played. You say these games are what's wrong with the industry, I disagree. I say it's multiplayer. You get me? Not sure how you feel on it.
