The raid is hard as fuck. Man. Couldn't make it past The Baths. So much salt on the Bungie forums lol. That and people don't like that it's more challenge focused instead of boss focused. Fun to me either way. I will say I don't like the revive mechanics though. Save that shit for the harder difficulties. This raid on Heroic and Prestiege is going to be insane. It's as if they made the new normal mode the Heroic mode. And the new Heroic mode will just be a harder version. And prestige I have no idea. Doubt I'll ever do it.

I don't know how I feel about the actual raid, but you can explore The Leviathan and I fucking love it

Spoiler
You mean there's a lot of side stuff to go exploring for in-between encounters?

Haven't done it yet. Might Friday when I'm off. You're told something at the end of the raid. Just one sentence. Well two maybe... Sure am interested to see where things go from here after hearing that statement.

Just found an Exotic Engram in a chest. Gave me Nezarec's Sin. This helmet should be amazing with Devour. Might have to stick with Voidwalker for awhile now.

Also, first expansion details.

Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian’s journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student - Ikora Rey.
Features:
Explore Mercury and its mysterious "Infinite Forest"
New story missions and adventures
New themed weapons, armor, and gear to earn
New cooperative activities
New competitive multiplayer arenas
And more...

Glad these $20 packs contain a good bit now. The $40 one next year should be almost like a whole new game then.

It took me 45 minutes to do my first strike. Arms Brothers. Fuck doing that on Nightfall. Also I dunno if there's optional secondary bosses. But we found one it seems.

On the ending...

Spoiler
I didn't watch it, but saw someone post it. I would've liked to of been surprised by that, but oh well. I'm assuming that they are "The Darkness" From reading The Books of Sorrow we know The Traveler and The Darkness are billions of years old. Oryx has been wiping countless civilizations out for billions of years. No telling how much longer The Darkness has been around before him. I think it's safe to assume The Darkness is just an evil, very old, very advanced alien race. And another advanced race may have built The Traveler just to gift other civilizations power in the hopes of defeating them.

Spoiler
I wish a mission had us help the leviathan eat Oryx's corpse so that BUNGiE couldn't ever recycle him again.

I swear if the story involves hive getting my Touch of Malice and using it to necro Oryx, I'm going to go to BUNGiE HQ in person and take a sledgehammer to Luke Smith's kneecaps
Spoiler
I've heard Oryx's sister mentioned a lot. There's even a strike with her name in it. IIRC they went their separate ways. She could be nearly as powerful as Oryx, or more now. There was also a statue in the dreadnaught naming someone called Noxris. There's definitely more to come with the Hive. Though not in the first two expansions at least. Considering they're the only enemies who actually serve the darkness we may have to wait till D3.

The music in this game is amazing. Really like the one in the beginning when you're outside Twilight Gap. Titan is creepy. That one mission that had you going to the Solarium. I was like Jesus, how deep does this place go? Headed to Nessus next. I'll play more tomorrow after work.

Anyone think this has any chance of missing that turn? I don't want another Katrina. Flooding is one thing. It sucked, that's what happened to New Orleans. But where I live, the town was wiped off the map. You know, 30 foot waves and all. Railroad tracks ripped apart, bridges demolished. There's still abandoned homes and empty lots with concrete slabs. We don't need another.

I slept about 3 hours this afternoon. Have work at 4AM. So I'm going to sleep soon and I'll get up around 2 and play for an hour and a half then play a little more when I get home. Have vacation coming up so that will give me some time to play for sure, unless Irma comes...

Gaming / Re: EDGE'S top 100 games list (2017 edition)
« on: August 31, 2017, 03:09:25 PM »
100 games isn't a lot. I have 150 games on my PS4 alone heh. Not that I have nearly as much time to play them anymore, but still. I'm 21. Been playing games since I was 5. A lot of you are older than me and you're telling me in all your years of gaming you haven't played 100 games?
i've played 200+

i've played THROUGH maybe 50
Fair enough. I can actually say I've completed almost all the games I've played. But there's quite a few I haven't.
that would mean you've completed almost all the games you disliked

why would you do this
Easy, if I buy a game, I know I'm gonna like it. Now I have been disappointed. But I've never regretted a purchase and dreaded to play the game. There are quite a few free games I slogged through though. Just because. Last year, I barely bought any games, or this year. I'm getting Destiny 2(yeah yeah, shit talk all you want), MAYBE Shadow of War since I liked Shadow of Mordor. And I also bought Pillars of Eternity. I played a good bit of it at a friends house but never bought it myself, until now.
we should also draw a distinction between "beat" and "complete"

if you've beaten every game you've played, i could understand that more than 100% completion
Oh God no. It would take me years just to 100% the games on my PS4 alone. Not happening.

Yeah, this list isn't that good. Where's Baldur's Gate? Or Icewind Dale? Neverwinter, Planescape. At least one of them... If they're too old for them put Divinity Original Sin or Pillars of Eternity. It feels as if all they did was pick a bunch of good games, mostly newer, and threw a list together. This is a bad list now that I've really sat and looked at it.

I'm glad he finally left Cersi. About time. In the books, IIRC, he left her a bit before she had her atonement.

It took me awhile to Platinum Arkham Asylum, but I did. It was my first game when I got my PS3 back in 2009. That and Infamous. I never attempted City. Nor Knight, or Origins.

I tried the Trial of the Sword the day it came out. 3 attempts. Got wrecked on like floor 12, 13 each time. Haven't played since. I really need to though. Still haven't done Gannon. I wanted to do all the shrines first.

No joke. They could have made 4 or 5 season just from AFFC and ADWD. By then TWoW would be out for them to make 2-3 more seasons from.

Tormund seemed like a goner there for a minute
I know. My heart dropped. I like Tormund. He better not die anytime soon. But since we're free of major deaths mostly this season I imagine next season we'll see a lot of people die. It won't feel right really if the show ends with Cersi dead and mostly everyone else still alive. Seems to happy for this series.

also we team NK now

Spoiler
I was really sad to see Viserion die. NK is gonna wreck shit with him once he knocks down the wall. This early though. I guess we'll have the first 4 episodes of Jon and team trying to defeat the others. Then the last 2 can close it out. I suppose it could just come down whoever is left vs Cersi, but boy I'd love to too her hole up in King's Landing or somewhere and get wrecked by the NK.
