That's actually... True. Yeah. One thing, how did Oryx wage war against us? What faction? The Traveler? Yeah. More than once. Over Billions of years. Also. For reference. In the Cinematic for TTK you see the Rossetta Comet. It's absolutely huge. Then, as it gets closer and closer to The Dreadnought, it gets smaller and smaller. Until it finally hits it and just disintegrates. I thought that was a cool way to show how big the ship is.

I'm always hearing of these quest breaking glitches. But I never run into them.
The only game that's ever fucked me over and prevented me from advancing is Skyrim (multiple times). But I expect nothing else from Bethesda.
I haven't had major Skyrim problems. Though I did mess it up with my Mods so I had to restart. Witcher 3 I've had no problems with except one quests. Forgot the name of it. It's on Skellige I think. And it involves killing a Werewolf in some sacred place. I could kill him, but a part of the quest telling to me do something else like investigate or whatever wouldn't advance.
I had to restart Skyrim twice because it had a quest breaking bug.
Is it the quest with the werewolf that is starving but everything he eats turns to ash, and he comes back if you kill him?
Yes, it's that one. Speaking of that, how far did you get? I know you said the other day you put the game on hold. Did you actually finish the main story at least?
No. I'm not even halfway.
Last thing I did was helping Eskel hunt down the Forktail.
Regarding the werewolf quest. There's something you have to feed him after beating him (but don't select to kill him.)
Can't remember what you had to feed him though.
Ah I just started again. Not playing many games on the console currently, besides Destiny a bit. Just waiting for Halo 5, and Fallout 4. Maybe Tomb Raider. Just finished the Bloody Baron quest line. Killed that stupid tree spirit this time. He won't be fooling me again.

Hopefully when this patch is out. Hopefully. I've been playing NG+. It's totally playable. It could depend on the person though. I suffered through Unity. It was never a slideshow, but it was annoying. Last night though, or this morning. Whatever. I went to Crookback Bog, at night, with a thunderstorm. Instant meditation.

4 looked so horribly boring that I skipped it. This looks interesting.
Just started playing 4 the other day and it's been great so far. Might even do a thread on it.
God, 4 was so boring. I didn't even get halfway through before I stopped playing it.
I loved 3 though.
I think I'm just getting burned out on Ubisoft's mediocre open world design.
Cramming the map full of shit that's just the same few depthless things isn't good design.
See. I liked 3, though it could be tedious. 4 I played like 8 hours. And quit. It was boring. Nice graphics. Cool looking world. But I didn't care for it.

Safe to say I don't know much about gun laws. Didn't know some states were a bit strict. In my state, you can own handguns and long guns. No permit needed for either. No laws against "assault" weapons. You can open carry handguns and long guns. No liscense required. No permit needed to open carry. Just need a permit to conceal. That's it.

It was a God, basically. Working for The Darkness. But someone or something killed it. It talked to The Osnium King, telling him to join The Darkness. It's the same thing Oryx and his sisters talked to. Except the ones they talked to were alive.

Grimoire cards are still the worst method of storytelling I've ever seen in a video game. At least have them in-game like TES books.
No. The Darkness is a physical entity that's billions of years old. The Fallen had the Traveler before us. Then the Darkness attacked them. They are attacking us to get The Traveler back. The Hive(once known as The Krill) work for The Darkness. Oryx and his sisters went down to the core of their planet, which is where The Darkness was trapped. The Leviathan, a servant of The Traveler warned them against it. He told them to take the harder path, go to the sky, and accept The Traveler. With fear on their minds, and not much time, since Krill had very short lifespans, they ignored Leviathan and went to The Deep. There, they encountered The Worms(who are servants of The Darkness) They told them, to accept their larvae. Let them feed off of them. Kill and destroy everything. To bring the Universe to its rightful shape. The more they do that, the hungrier the worms become. So they've killed trillions and trillions of beings to satisfy the worms hunger. Later one, Oryx went down to The Deep(which was The Darkness), he asked the Worm for help, he needed more power. The Worm refused, so he killed it, then talked to The Darkness himself. He then became Oryx, The Taken King.
There you go.
Yes, I get all that. So far we haven't seen the Darkness, only its influence in the various enemies in the game. But without reading the grimoire cards, it's a very reasonable assumption to think The Darkness is just another wishy-washy way of describing the evil found throughout the solar system, just like how 'light' is some ambiguous term for inexplicable but tangible space magic.
And it's all that backstory that just makes the game that much sillier. Oryx is for all intents and purposes a deity that has lived billions of years and killed untold numbers of strong, sentient races. But you can defeat him in a 10 minute firefight? C'mon.
I understand that, but it's just a game. How many games and movies and books have some huge villain that has been an unstoppable force until the main character of the media is somehow able to defeat him her?

It doesn't matter how great lore is if the story presented to you is absolute shit.
It was cheap of bungie to make you go to their shit site for info. Maybe integrate it in the story and have an actual narrative.
Also, The Cabal are just a huge Military Empire. They've been running for Oryx. Now that he's dead and gone, they've requested direct Empire intervention to finish us off. The Cabal we fight, are only a small stranded group. Child's play compared to their actual Empire. The Vex are from a different dimension. Crota cut up a wound in his world, and The Vex poured in. They were not able to understand their powers. So the Mind of The Vex emulated them. That's why The Vex are evil. So you could say they work for The Darkness too.
