Will you eventually work on integrating something like Coup 4 into the site?

The Flood / Re: New fiber network - 5TB/s Internet speed
« on: August 03, 2014, 02:02:09 PM »
That's not a typo.

While you're busy pining away for Google Fiber, a group of researchers at the Technical University of Denmark have been busy putting it to shame. Trumping their last network milestone achieved back in 2009, the group has developed a fiber network that pushes more than 5TB of data per second through a single optical cable.

The network gives users speeds of 43Tbps, which works out to about 5.4TB per second. As the folks at Extreme Tech pointed out, such speeds would allow you to download a 1GB movie in 0.2 milliseconds -- or better said, in the blink of an eye.

The university -- henceforth called DTU -- is notable for many reasons, not the least of which was being the first to exceed the single terabit milestone, something that took place back in 2009. Though hard at work, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology set the latest record back in 2011 at 26 terabits, something that has persisted until now.

The speeds were achieved using a single-laser and single-fiber setup, with multi-core fiber being used to hit the faster speeds. While you won't be seeing these speeds in your home any time soon, it is an important milestone for ushering us closer.

There's another active thread about this, speed test something or another. Nice try though.
Oh,  that top part he linked was 1gb/s, thought it was about google fiber.
I posted the source with a similar article. It said 43Tb/s instead of 5TB/s

Well, it said 43tbp/s, which is 5tb/s >.>
Yes. I know. Let's take the time to drool over how we'll never get this.

you realize that that fiber thing won't be available anywhere for private use for a very long time, right?
Considering this is experimental technology, yes. But we can dream can't we?

Embrace the Bad, Dustin. Embrace it. If this site ever gets group functionality, I'm going to start a group that only Bad members can join.

I want this to be on Kickstarter so it gets attention, then bought by something larger so it actually gets done.

Needs to be an animated series. Done in this style. It's too perfect.
Get all the cast member to voice act.

That movie looks so fucking autistic.

The only positive thing I have seen from you was the amount of AIDS you've produced.
What the fuck does that even mean?

It means you give out AIDS more than the UN in Africa
Except I objectively don't have AIDS. Is this some kind of meme thing?
Okay you subjectively have aids.

Fuck that. Why would I want to stare at a huge fucking advertisement every time I load a page?

Because it helps pay to support the website.

If you don't want to help, go back to b.lind. You won't be missed.
Staying here and blocking ads gives this site the same revenue as me leaving. Your logic fails again.

Buy music CDs and then rip them onto your computer.
I could, but I get all my music online.
Buy online then.
