young people have been enjoying cars and talking about them since cars have been around

pretty common hobby across the US and the rest of the world for young people

cars give you tons of freedom to express yourself and customize and the value their owners put into them give them more than just sentimental value

plus there's tons of different scenes and genres that you can get into
you can say that about a lot of things

art, music, literature, games, comics, videos, sports, etc

its another thing humans can entertain themselves with is how id say it to a non-car person

unisex bathrooms wont be a problem in most places, universities, restaurants, malls, supermarkets, people just do what they need to and leave

anywhere where they would be would already have been a problem with current bathrooms anyway, if youre going to a bathroom alone thats so desolate or low security that anyone could do anything without fear you could just as well walk into a drug deal or a gang initiation

most people will probably not, and at this point its really upto the extablishment, compared to these places most bathrooms in the city will be "safe"

i can count the amount of times ive used truly public toilets on one hand and those were all during daylight

it would also probably be cheaper for the establishment to maintain

Cameras in bathrooms? Really?
why not
Because it would accomplish nothing. People can be assaulted in the stalls.
the cameras would see people getting dragged into the stalls
People will get assaulted on camera. It doesn't matter. Every 7/11 has working cameras yet they get robbed all the time.
at least you can use the footage as evidence

I don't get car people

you don't see house people or boat people, yet it's so popular to be obsessed with cars
there's definitely boat people, and i'm surprised you haven't met any as a michigander

but yeah, car people are bizarre
I've seen old men who are proud and defensive about the fishing boat they've had for twenty years or whatever, but not high school kids who talk about the specifics of boats and collectable ones and such, like they do with cars.

I guess everyone has a hobby, there's worse things than cars. But it's still a tad askew
more people have cars than boats

as a result cars have a deeper, more evolved subculture

same can be said for anything really

Cameras in bathrooms? Really?
they already have them here, not in the cubicles
it's not really a big deal unless you plan on doing something other than washing your hands

You have a point, but I still don't like the idea.

People can call the cops on 3 men loitering outside a bathroom. If they're inside nobody would even know.

There's just too many variables.

just saying these variables are still within a rare situation in the first place

i mean if they were standing in front of the toilet would you even just call the cops, its not like theyre going to signal that theyre going to rape you before you approach them

i think people only think its weird cause everyone so used to the idea of separate bathrooms

but really its just a place where you go to do your business and then leave
Imagine being a young woman going to a public bathroom at night that could have 3 men in it.
ravensbourne had lots of cubicles not inside another bathroom, they were all just external cubicles and you walked through one door and there was the toilet, you didnt have to go through another door to go into the cubicle after and the sinks were just on the side
Right, but you said in general. Gender-less bathrooms are not a safe idea.
its not safe in the same way walking an alleyway at night is not safe
if you think there might be potential danger in a public unisex bathroom at night youd probably avoid going to it
there are people that are afraid of doing that now
Why should you have to avoid going to the bathroom like you avoid an alley at night?

You don't need to walk down the alley (well, sometimes you do), but you need to use the bathroom.

its likely there won't be any problems, you're thinking about 3 men who are all criminally inclined and are also probably friends being in this bathroom at the same time as a young woman

what kind of "public" toilet are you talking about where things like this could happen? if it were in a restaurant, supermarket or wherever you might be at night in a

if you were in the middle of nowhere using a truck stop toilet i would imagine you'd be kinda scared wherever you were, and you'd rather just pull up at the side of the road and pee there if you really needed to

nothing is stopping those same men from waiting just outside the women's toilets or just going into those toilets, if those men went to the toilets cause they wanted to do their business thats all they would do

It just feels like a waste of a product. It doesn't really fit into any bracket, and it doesn't really have any competitor in the sense it's kind of in an awkward tier. It's sort of a track car but not really. It's more a concept production model then an actual full production car.
It's a full production car you can buy

It's too slow to be a track car, and you can't really modify it

It's for people who think they're saving the environment by buying a hybrid but in reality the production method of making the batteries and such for hybrid cars is much worse than the emissions of a combustion engine

it's for rich idiots, and it works cause it's selling

I know it's a full production, I'm saying it doesn't feel that way. It's just a strange product.

The idea I guess was for it to be an entry level hybrid super car, which I guess fits it and nothing else, but it's still an incredibly niche car.

I wouldn't go as far to call people idiots for buying an i8, I know atleast 3 people who have them. It certainly is a car I can see why people would buy, and it looks stunning in certain colors, but it's just not a car I can justify choosing when compared to others in its price range.

Hell, I'd rather have an M4 then an i8
i'd rather have an E30 than an i8

concept cars are getting closer to reality since were always getting new technology, car manufacturers can make crazier shapes and build weirder things, eventually we'll just get 3d printed cars, and I think there are already some

I'd say it's the most conceptual car you can buy right now. And I own three hybrids, and they feel real and non-niche. I guess it was a test for BMW to see if a niche-entry level super hybrid would work. And by the looks of it, it has been doing fairly well.

well theres still cars like these

my current uni does it differently but whats stopping the kind of men who would do these things in the first place in any other room

even my secondary school had unisex toilets in a open-plan, people just didn't seem to care, it was just a toilet
