I started a DMC shitposting group on FB and it's lovely to see so many people being as hyped as I am ;_;

Hated the pirate ship fight because, despite being in DT, Dante wanted to throw Magma Drives instead of Meteors. Also that one move that attaches the shadow bird to you and changes the lock on away from Griffin. Made the fight really frustrating.Nelo Angelo 3 is the peak of the game tbh. Every other boss/miniboss is just annoying and spammy/protected from melee attacks.I recently snagged the DMC HD Collection + 4SE on PS4. I forgot how much I hated Nightmare. The pirate ship fight is the worst. I just cheese it with DT'd Ebony and Ivory, works a charm 335

Griffin has that annoying electric bird thing and a cluttered arena, Phantom is alright, Mundus had some interested mechanics and Nightmare was just... ugh 336

Gaming / Re: Devil May Cry 5« on: June 18, 2018, 10:38:38 AM »Yeah I'm looking forward to it. Glad Nero's still around after the lukewarm reception he got in 4. I really like Devil Trigger, it feels upbeat and modern, fitting for Nero's theme. I imagine Dante's music will be heavier, I hope for a new rendition of Devils Never Cry. 339
Gaming / Devil May Cry 5« on: June 18, 2018, 08:38:33 AM »YouTube So after years of waiting, letdowns and er... a reboot, it was finally announced at E3, and the world rejoiced. I know there's only like 3 DMC fans here, but I wanted to make a thread anyway because I'm pretty damn excited. So anyone else hyped as hell? I've been replaying 4 recently and I fucking suck at it. It's weird because I got pretty good at 3, but Nero just feels so weird to play. 341

Also there's two endings to 2033, but only one of them is canon leading to the second game unfortunately. If you want the 'good' ending then I'd reccommend exploring is much as possible and doing nice things for people. You'll get what I mean.

Play 2033 first. And try not to be too put off by shitty checkpoints on the surface levels...

The soundtrack in Metal Gear Rising. The bosses have songs that change depending on how the fight is going, with lyrics kicking in towards the end. My favorite is during the Armstong fight, where the lyrics will fade out if your sword is knocked out of your hand and will come back when you pick it back up.

If it sells well and attracts more fans to the series, is there a risk of them dumbing down the main series as a result?

So apart from DMC, Spiderman, Bethesda's Skyrim self-awareness and playable Ridley I haven't really been too impressed

E3 is something they might not have anything ready for it but they want to let people know they're making the game. It's a good way to build excitement.Nioh is made by Japanese people😏I mean Death Stranding didn't really show too much gameplay, if any. I doubt it's gonna a walking simulator like everybody was spamming in the twitch chat lmao. Personal preference. Visual stimulation. It's just something to watch, regardless of how the game itself turns out. 354

Better than just a single title on a screen. 355
