Is waiting on RNG really the best way to get a Moon/Leaf stone?
wait, are you playing crystal?

I'm playing Gold from the eshop. I just got to Ecruteak. From looking it up, it seems you get a Moon Stone from your mum shopping, and a trainer on one of the routes phones you if she finds a Leaf Stone?

I just don't wanna be stuck with a Nidorino and a Weepinbell for most of the game.

Whitney's Miltank is a fucking cunt

I took great pleasure in watching it experience Paralysis courtesy of my Weepinbell and get Double Kicked to death by my Nidorino

i guarantee that there will be at least five bits in the film where it's one continuous shot zooming around each of the heroes doing cool shit while the generic avengers soundtrack plays and then at the end it zooms out to show all of them standing in a badass pose

Eh why not, it's a big dumb superhero film.

Some interesting tidbits from a Toriyama Saiyan Q&A

Quote
Q3: Do all Saiyans become combatants?
A baby's battle power is measured as soon as they are born. If their number passes a certain standard, then they are considered upper-level warriors and immediately raised as a combatant candidate. On the other hand, those whose numbers remain low even after a certain amount of time has passed are regarded as lower-level warriors, and become either engineers or "infiltration babies" that are sent off to a planet somewhere. If they grow strong enough to conquer that planet, then they can return to their home world as a combatant. However, infiltration babies do not have a high survival rate. Raditz was an upper-level warrior and assigned to the same group as Nappa as a proper combatant. Vegeta was latter added to that group too.

Q5: Can anyone become a Super Saiyan if they train?
White box: It's not like anyone can become a Super Saiyan through training and anger. In order to become a Super Saiyan, one's body must contain something called "S-Cells". Once these S-Cells reach a certain amount, a trigger such as anger will explosively increase the S-Cells and cause a change in the body: that's Super Saiyan. Most Saiyans have some S-Cells, although not a great quantity. the reason why Goku and Vegeta's children can become Super Saiyan relatively easily is probably because to a certain extent they inherited a lot of S-Cells, and also because Earth's environment is gentler and easier to live in than Planet Vegeta.

Tori-bot: "Lately everyone becomes Super Saiyan so easily, but it is no simple matter."

Arrow: And how does one increase S-Cells to become Super Saiyan?

Black box: Having a gentle spirit is the best way to greatly increase one's S-Cells, but most Saiyans have trouble with this, which I think is why no Super Saiyans appeared for such a long time and they became the stuff of legend. However, one can't reach the quantity necessary for becoming a Super Saiyan simply by having a gentle spirit, so a certain amount of battle power is indeed necessary. Looked at in this light, it's easy to see why becoming a Super Saiyan came easy for Goku.

Goten picture: "He was able to easily become Super Saiyan thanks to inheriting lots of S-Cells!"

Goku picture: "A gentle heart + high battle power resulted in Super Saiyan!!"

Q9: Was the "legendary Super Saiyan" Freeza feared the Super Saiyan God that appeared in Battle of Gods?
White box: In a certain sense, they are the same person. That is to say, very long ago, before Planet Vegeta was the Saiyans' planet, there was a man named Yamoshi [note: probably a pun on moyashi, Japanese for bean sprouts] who had a righteous heart despite being a saiyan. He and his five comrades started a rebellion, but he was cornered by warriors and became a Super Saiyan for the first time, though his transformation and fearsome fighting style shocked the other Saiyans. Outnumbered, Yamoshi eventually wore himself out and was defeated, but this was only the beginning of his legend. Afterwards, Yamoshi's spirit wandered in continuous search of six righteous-hearted Saiyans, seeking a new savior: Super Saiyan God.

Tori-bot: "And that's why there's that ceremony to become Super Saiyan God."

Arrow: And why did Beerus search for Super Saiyan God?

Black box: Beerus probably picked up on information about Yamoshi's spirit in his prophetic dream. The fact that this is recorded in the Namekian book of legends is likewise because the Namekian elder who wrote it sympathized with Yamoshi's spirit.

Also, does Poipole evolve by levelling up or is there a different method? I really don't want to look it up because I want it to be a surprise, just don't want to spend hours trying to figure out what to do with it
there's another method

Spoiler
you need to teach it a certain move

^- more of a hint than a spoiler

you probably won't guess it honestly

Is there any hint in game to what it is?

Wait, it wasn't Fell Stinger was it... because I chose to not learn it..

>Survives the first Photon Beam, Body Slam fails to paralyse
>Survive the second Photon Beam because I'm nice to it in Pokemon Refresh
>Body Slam round 2 finally gets the Paralysis
>Meganium dies, RIP
>Sacrifice my Pikachu and Pupitar to revive Lopunny and Primarina
>Finish it off with a Z-Powered Return from Lopunny

Such an awesome battle. Felt really appropriate to beat it with THE POWER OF LOVE.
That battle was pretty dumb for me

>Venusaur, Mamoswine, Beeheyem get fucking wrecked
>Ok I'll try Zoroark
>Comes out disguised as Hawlucha
>Necrozma keeps using Photon Geyser
>Doesn't affect me because I'm dark type
>win

I ended up ditching my Zoroark because I rarely got any good use out of it.

Y'know what, Sun and Moon has really grown on me. I actually really appreciate all the stuff they've added in these games, makes for a much more involved and smoother experience.

-Online trophies for games that have the multiplayer servers switched off, making the platinum impossible. I wouldn't mind multiplayer trophies if they patched it to make the online trophies unessential.

-Being forced to walk slowly while your character follows or talks to somebody. The Arkham games were terrible for this, why can't Batman talk to people in his earpiece while still being able to sprint? They're like cutscenes except you can't skip them and you're forced to play, if you're following an NPC around.

-Unskippable cutscenes. I'm okay with them being unskippable on your first attempt, but I think all games should have the feature to skip them on repeated attempts. I really wish FFX HD had this.

-As Verb said, insta-death spells can go suck a fuck.

-Sequences where you're trying to do something like opening a door or pulling a switch, while infinitely respawning enemies attack and interrupt you.

-Turret sections. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a turret section.

-Stealth sections in games that aren't stealth orientated. You get thrown into this mission suddenly, where it's really easy to fuck up and have to restart because up until now the game hasn't required it, and you haven't had time to get to grips with it.

-Adding in a dumb twist to an already convoluted and finished plot that just somehow makes it even dumber.

It's serviceable. Improved upon SoM in many ways, but also took a couple steps back.

Siege battles are one hit wonders. Fun after a while but the novelty wears off fairly quickly. Besides Orc dialogue they're all p much the same formula. Capture zones, kill warchiefs, then confront the overlord.

Campaign is a bit stale. Talion is still a cardboard cut out, so don't expect overt characterisation this time round. Celembrimbor is like a fucking broken record throughout the game, constantly harping on about this fucking Palanthir which is somehow critical for the fight against Sauron for whatever reason.

Nemesis system is still peng. They've added a couple new features but I wouldn't say it's wholly different from Mordor's nemesis system.

Fun game, but it's bogged down by a lot of weird and lacklustre features. Not worth a AAA price tag, that's for sure.

The open world, gameplay and nemesis system is all I'm into, the story was pretty shit in SoM too.

Is it worth getting when there's a price drop and I don't really have anything else to play? There's not any new games I'm interested in, but I really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor.

I'll not be touching any of the lootboxes or downloadable shit but is the game itself fun?

So basically EVERYTHING and ANYTHING is okay as long as it doesn't affect game mechanics?

This mentality is why this became a problem in the first place.
I disagree. A predatory tactic to pray on people with addictive personalities or locking things away behind a pay wall AFTER YOU ALREADY PAID no less.
Fuck
that
shit

and Fuck Destiny 2 and their fucking $hader$.
Are you saying we should regulate how people spend their money? Fuck off if that's the case why stop at lootboxes, might as well make gambling illegal and shut down casinos.

Sure, why not.

Thoughts on the movie? I think it's a legitimately good film, Michael Bay's best. I'm not sure what happened to him afterwards, but it's always worth a rewatch to remind yourself he COULD make a good film.
