The Flood / Your first famous crush
« on: December 09, 2015, 09:14:50 AM »
Did anyone of you have a crush on famous people as a kid? I mean lime models, actresses, whatever.

I think Holly Valance gave me my first excitement. Had a bit of a thing for Emma Watson for many years too...

The Flood / Weird shit you did as a kid
« on: December 08, 2015, 05:47:08 PM »
Surely we must have all done weird shit as kids.

I used to sit in my paddling pool and drop crisps in it, letting them float around me for a little while before picking them up and eating them. Soggy wet crisps are nasty but I guess I enjoyed them.

I don't understand, is it for kids

755
Anything. Within reason, of course so no superpowers. At the end of the day it would reset back to normal, as if it never happened but you would have full memories of it. What would you do?

I think I'd probably kill someone or rob a bank...

The Flood / Batman V Superman or Civil War
« on: December 01, 2015, 06:15:11 AM »
Which film do you think will be better? Which one are you looking forward to more?

I'm leaning more towards BvS. I dunno, Batfleck just feels right. I hope Civil War will be good too though.

The Flood / Bronies, man.
« on: November 29, 2015, 05:29:54 AM »

I would have loved to see this IRL so I could have recorded it for Youtube so the whole world could laugh at this man and his shame.

But replace 'Mean' with 'Meme'

Who would be the best leading actor and what would the plot be?

Gaming / Help me build a good Pokemon team
« on: November 28, 2015, 05:08:37 AM »
Aight I could use some advice for building a solid team.

Here's what I got so far:

Goodra
-Calm Nature
Item: Leftovers

-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance
-Toxic
-Rest

Scizor
-Adamant Nature
Item: Life Orb

-Bullet Punch
-Swords Dance
-Aerial Ace
-U-Turn

Gliscor
-Impish Nature
Item: Toxic Orb

-Earthquake
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Knock Off

Swampert: Mega
-Adamant Nature
Item: Swampertite

-Ice Punch
-Waterfall
-Earhquake
-Rain Dance

That's mainly it so far, the rest is usually interchangable. Any suggestions on how to improve or what to add? I might give Gliscor Earthquake, and give Scizor Toxic and Venoshock.

But I really can't think of what it is.

Anyone know which game it's from? It's bugging me. I think it's a town theme...

The Flood / Has anyone here seen the Scorpion King sequels
« on: November 27, 2015, 11:30:38 AM »
Remember the Scorpion King? I actually really quite enjoyed the first one with The Rock. Was a fun action movie, it was cool. Then I heard there was a direct to DVD sequel, which I didn't see. Now I find out there's a 4th one.
Spoiler

Has anyone here actually seen any of them? I might give them a go if I'm really bored one day.

The Flood / Why does Family Guy have so many flashbacks and cutaways
« on: November 26, 2015, 06:57:56 PM »
I don't watch it that often, but every time I catch an episode it's just full of cutaways and flashbacks. Is that basically all the show is?

767
Serious / So did America basically arm ISIS?
« on: November 25, 2015, 08:01:07 AM »
I'm doing an illustration piece for my course and my teacher loves all that descriptive, opinionated imagery and shit so I thought I'd give her a piece inspired by the whole USA vs ISIS thing.

I've heard that America was outed as being the ones who armed them and gave them weapons, is this true? I don't feel like reading through ten pages of news stories and discussions on it so I decided to ask here. Is there anything else the USA and other countries have done in all this to shoot themselves in the foot?

768
Serious / What are your plans for the future?
« on: November 24, 2015, 07:52:09 PM »
I dunno if it should go in Serious but I am genuinely curious about what you plan to do, and I figured the Flood would just be joke answers.

Do you want to eventually raise a family of your own, start your own business, maybe travel?

I'm hoping to get a stable income that will allow me to have a nice house somewhere in Wales or Scotland, with a nice view and area for long walks with my partner. I'd love to have kids one day, someone to pass on my infinite wisdom to and raise as my own. They'll probably turn out to be a little shit, but what kids aren't? I just hope the world isn't fucked by then.

Anyone remember this? Chances are if you saw the show you remember that 'Pokemon-mon' song.

I'm listening to the anime ost right now and some of the song are actually quite catchy >_>

The Flood / Is book Stannis gonna die soon
« on: November 23, 2015, 10:09:40 AM »
GRRM has already told the showrunners how the story ends so he can't be that important in the grand scheme of things.

How do you think Mannis is gonna get taken down in the books?

774
Gaming / Gaming rumors you heard (and maybe believed as a kid)?
« on: November 22, 2015, 07:41:53 PM »
We've all been there. Somebody at school caught Mewthree at Mt Moon, or there was a secret code to play as Mario's blue brother Antonio. What were some gaming rumors you heard as a kid, whether you believed them or not?

Somebody told me that you could catch Crystal Onix at Tanoby Ruins in Pokemon Firered. Was so dissappointed when it was just Unown.

Also I was told there was a green Latias/Os type Pokemon at Shoal Cave called Latiosa...

All the other countries in the film are bright and colorful but as soon as it goes back to London everything turns grey. Barely any color at all. They nailed it.

The Flood / Americans, how do you pronounce the word 'twat'?
« on: November 19, 2015, 10:47:49 PM »

Because I've heard people on tv say it as 'twot' and I need confirmation on whether or not that is how you pronounce it over there.

Serious / What would be your ideal way of dealing with ISIS
« on: November 19, 2015, 09:11:24 PM »
If you were in charge and had to come up with your own way of dealing with them. How would you go about it?

The Flood / So who do you think Ian Mcshane's mystery GoT role is?
« on: November 19, 2015, 09:05:21 PM »
Here's what he said.

While talking with Pop Goes the News at the Los Cabos International Film Festival, the Deadwood star offered this cryptic detail: “I’ll give you one hint. I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that. [It’s] a one-off episode. That’s why I did it. But I can’t reveal anything, otherwise I will never work again.”

Septon Meribald? Cleganebowl confirmed?
