They're still in the wrong. If I was in the same situation as you, I'd stick to less densely populated areas and take shortcuts. Cities can be really fucking annoying. I got pickpocketed when I was visiting a city in Spain.

It doesn't matter what reason you bleach it for. Making your hair a vivid or eye catching colour is bound to catch unwanted attention.

So yesterday I was in New York City for about nine hours. And all day I was harassed by people on the streets with their cat-calls of "Nice hair" and "I like your hair." One person even asked if I was supposed to look like an anime character, to which I promptly said no. I've never felt so disrespected and objectified in my life.
