It's at least partly true here.  I have a sculpture class of all girls and we were talking about equality, and they were going on about how they don't feel safe walking alone at night and how it's unfair.   But then they had the audacity to complain that when they were with a guy friend, he didn't need no walk on the street side of the sidewalk.  I just sat there and shook my head.

Unit 00 was a prototype, it make look like a standard Eva but in terms of mechanics it barely fits the description. It also goes berserk and moans a bit in 1.0 and NGE. Ritsuko and the rest of the NERV staff responsible for the upkeep of the Evas probably thought the containment they had was sufficient enough for Unit 01 but Gendo and Fuyutsuki knew the importance of having Unit 01 go berserk from time to time. Also for the scene of Unit 03, that was completely redone from NGE scene where Unit 01 just smashed the entry plug in its hand it was mostly a design choice to show just how dark the scene was.

Other Evas don't necessarily have to go berserk in order to have their mouths open or vice versa. For Unit 02 in NGE, it kind of went "berserk" when it's eyes split apart and showed four red ones, we didn't know it even had a mouth until EoE when it was completely ripped apart and went berserk again, only it's mouth opening was probably due more to being ripped alive. In 2.0 and Q it's mouth opened whenever the pilot activated beat mode. Unit 05's mouth went open when Mari pushed it to its limit. And Eva 13 only opened it's mouth when awakening, but since 13 is a restructured Adam, this is a special case.
