Dark Souls 2's repetitive length is better since NG+ with new items is a thing, more spells/weapons/whatever

but I'll be hard pressed to say the atmosphere and story are better. In fact yeah, they both fall on their asses in DS2 until the DLC comes around.

I have to admit that. Kinda jaded on it though. New Game+ was essentially the place where you started to get cool shit and actual easy access to things. Which made it kind of gay. It's like they built the game and pvp around new game+.
I still think you got cool things on normal game.

It's just a shame they ruined builds in DS2. Which is another thing. PvP matchmaking and all that is better in 2, but they absolutely KILLED builds with soul memory.

It's so shit that MGS4 is the big finale to the story and it's eh

And MGSV is the big finale to the story and it's also eh
At least MGS4's actually had a narrative to it and didn't have Sutherland mumbling his way through it.

Which part are you cringing over? The ones praising it? I'm glad people are realizing the shit we got with V and that Kojima isn't some god tier person.

Or are you cringing at these "I heard" things?

Submissive (or passive) men

Dominate/motherly women (not pushy)

I have no idea why. I find it very attractive when a female takes charge, or has that kinda soothing comfort in her demeanor. But am also attracted to males who are more passive, but not in an... annoying way. Hard to describe, idk. Maybe I'm just sick in the head.
You're as mad as a swan.

This is literally oversimplifying something that has far more depth to it than one quote could give it.

But a bunch of people would think it rings true because they think they're pseudo-philosophers. It only preaches to the ignorant.

Just finished the Paz thing and got the last tape. Boy talk about morbid and a little touching. See, THESE are reasons Venom could easily go mad and turn into what he was in Metal Gear 1. This whole game has been nothing but loss to him, and finding out his whole life was a lie, but even so it was more about loss.

Maybe that is a big message Kojima, and the saying in general try to convey. If you're ready to get revenge, you better be ready to dig two graves. I think this game easily captures that.

Sadly we don't see him become mad, distraught, or just devastated to find out a big portion of his mid-life was just a lie.  Instead, he just smiles and thinks, "Yeah let's do this!"
He smiles when he says "you're Big Boss", but punches the mirror when he see's what he becomes. But yeah, more emotion would have been nice.

Well, if you're playing the Teutonic expansion, there's no Papacy, so you'd be right.
Which reminds me, I need to continue the Teuton's on Attila in my thread (you should read my updates).

I'll start it soon I suppose.

You can try the Darth Mod. It's much better with all of that shit. They get slammed in Shogun 2 (or more so fly in the air lol), but Attila does it the best in a more realistic fashion I think.

Honestly, I'm to lazy to mod the Total War games prior to Shogun 2. I don't play them enough anymore to bother with it.
Same. After I've played Attila for 87 some odd hours, going back to them just hurts. Still, Medieval 2 is probably the most consistent one of the lot.

Yeah, though what I liked most about Medieval 2 was the Kingdoms expansion. Probably one of my favourite of the series.
I played it when it was all over and done with, and never really dove in the campaign. Always did MP with friends, like sieges. God sieges were perfect in that game with wall strength and what not. Attila's walls are like paper.

Its as if one of these happens bimonthly
It's not "as if", it is. But it'll be the same cycle.

1. People mourn

2. Media obsesses over gunman and glorifies him

3. President and others come out saying we need better gun laws

4. Republicans think "muh amendment" and say government is oppressive and saw laws won't help cuz criminals don't follow laws

5. Nothing happens, not even things people should come together on with things that make sense.

and repeat
It really does say a lot about our country when I'm a 22 year old who's first gun is an AK. Instead of having to get a special permit in order to own one I simply had to do a 5 minute background check and nothing else.
Uhhhhhh no. You just can't handle the freedom to

and flank around with your cavalry and SLAM into em.

Well, slam isn't the word I'd use, more like nudge.

Holy crap, it'slike the units are the descendents of arthritic snails or something.

OT: Keep the pope happy, it'snot fun having one of your most levelled and effective family members getting burned at the stake for heresy. Try to have a lot of priests and send them to places with low Christianity, so that they'll hopefully upgrade to bishops. That way, there's a fair chance that the next pope will start off with a liking towards you.

Conquering is best when it's against a non-Catholic faction, like the Byzantines or Moors, or some faction that's had a falling out with the Papacy so that you don't risk excommunication, which opens you up to the wrath of your fellow Catholic factions.

You're doing damage to yourself witheat unhealthy. Last I checked, food doesn't actively try and clog your arteries or something. You can argue about smoke and smog, but don't throw food in the same damn defense, because it makes no sense.

I get you're against gun restrictions but damn please try and form a more cohesive argument, because this one is just one long winded reach and it's quite funny.
In a system where healthcare is funded in part or wholly via tax dollars, yes, you are harming EVERYONE by being a waste of their resources.
So basically the entire population of humanity.

I gotcha, lad.

The problem is that Republicans think "gun control" means "gun ban." Nothing will ever get changed while that misconception is still going around.

That's because, to a lot of liberals, it does mean that. Many republicans are strongly in favor or increasing restrictions on criminals or the mentally ill, more strict rules for concealed carry, etc.
Too bad none of them are in Congress because the NRA has the dick up their asses. Remember when the NRA was just promoting gun safety and responsibility? What happened?

Why do people try and turn the conversation to guns rather than mental health. Our mental institutions and the state of mental health in the U.S. are fucking sad.

If somone is a collector or gun enthusiast let them have an automatic, but screen them and require strict licensing.
but do you NEED fun?

do you NEED unhealthy food filled with trans fat?

do you NEED a fast sports car with poor gas mileage?

do you NEED carcinogenic tobacco products?

NO, you fucking DON'T, shitlord, so we should make them prohibitively difficult or illegal to obtain, so you can't potentially hurt yourself or others, CITIZEN.
