yeah corrin is p cute

so what, in awakening do u like make your own character and then support chrom and stuff or what
In both Awakening and Fates you make your own character, yeah. Chrom is who you meet in Awakening and you two are basically co-main protags. Fates is more you're the main one. You get support by fighting nearby/together with characters. You'll see once you play it.

who's the protag of awakening
Chrom and Robin

dope, does that mean lonqu is in the game
Yeah he is. He's a cool gai.

yeah hes dope
I'd get into who I think his best supports are (conversation wise), but that's for when you get into it. For now, just try it and enjoy it.

why does everyone say the games are shit
A few reasons. Awakening is basically babby's first Fire Emblem since like I said before. It's basically introducing new fans to the series, but has a ton of references to the older games for older fans. But basically the story is just basic but comes together in the very end. A really cool thing I like is if your character and main character Chrom get married, it changes a lot of things that make their relationship seem to be far more fitting (otherwise if you're a dude it's some very strong bromance).

Other than that, people attribute it to "waifu emblem" since you can marry characters together, but the main story doesn't focus on that at all. It's more or less like the other ones.

Fates (the one after Awakening) is ridiculed (and rightly so) because there are 3 different games, basically 3 different routes, all sold separately. Conquest and Fates, and then the "true ending" with Revelations, which is recommended to be played after Conquest/Fates. Overall it's a boring story until Revelations when it really all comes together. But hey, the main character as the default girl, Corrin, is cute.

On another note, if you want some interesting history stuff Verb, Extra Credits has a series on it with stuff I never even knew/I thought would be interesting. It's not always accurate to a tee but the general idea of it all is. Plus the animations make it interesting, and it's not bogged down in super series music and a deep voiced narrator.

If you want I could recommend you some

There you go. If you wanted something in Roman times, choose the Punic Wars. If you want one on Japan, Sengoku Jidai is pretty cool on the characters he dives into, but the one he apparently put the most work into is Justinian and Theodora, which is basically the Eastern Roman Empire, after the West had fallen.

The hidden bonus I enjoyed was The Broad Street Pump. It's about John Snow (I know) and how one man more or less changed how cities were built. It's a shame they don't teach this more in schools.

Begging time. So who wants to spend $40 on me if I pay them back in the coming weeks?

I can't afford Stormblood but got early access (did the Amazon pre-order/cancel trick).
I could help you out. How's this work though? Paypal transfer or something? Or can I buy it and give you a key? If you have it through Steam I could gift you it.
I'll PM you, thanks a lot. And keep you up to date on the money I owe.

Persona Q
i've been told by at least two persona fans that this is a horrible game to introduce yourself to persona with
Introduce? Yeah, definitely, you won't know any of the case because the game assumes you know them.

Yeah it's up. It'll be 30gb total or so I hear?

An issue we're missing and forgetting about is that the parties themselves both rile people up, feed them horrible misinformation, and get them angry at the other side because that's what gets them to get out and vote for theirs. Washington and the political climate that it entertains is responsible for this angry attack on Washington.
That isn't something you can blame Trump for. Trump is draining the swamp and the liberals are interrupting.
I wish Russia would take over Finland already

Fire Emblem Awakening/Fates/Echoes (in that order). I say Awakening first since it's a good introduction to the series. Then Fates/Echo's are one going off on its own thing and a remake of an old one.

Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Persona Q

Zelda Link Between Worlds

If only everyone with any amount of influence wasn't actively contributing to greater polarization.

More politically motivated violence is inevitable at this point.
The great irony is that political leaders are calling for unity when it's the parties that are doing this shitty fear mongering and driving a wedge between people. The media is the easy target, but the media isn't pumping out adds that look like you're running against the devil incarnate.

They shouldn't be surprised shit like this happens, and fuck them for being so hypocritical in saying our prayers are with you/an attack on one is an attack on all, while at the same time attacking the left for being "too violent". And then the left is doing its typical "see this is what you get for gun laws"

It's like the last 3 days are a microcosm of what is wrong with the parties in general

If we're coming to a point where we forget basic humanity for the sake of political divide, then god help the future of this nation.
How many more times do you think you can say this until it completely loses all meaning?
I've only said it once?
You say it in almost every political thread. It's like your go to thing to say anytime there's a political disagreement.
If you can find me an example of this, I'll reassess what you said

But just to be clear I'm not saying "we should all get along :("

I'm just saying if it comes to a point you legit wanna kill somebody over politics disagreements, and that becomes a more comm on thing, then this country really is going to shit.

Of course I'll beat on the drum of echo chambers and social media are fucking up a lot of actual engagement. It's something I 100% think is true. One need only look at Sapphire or Facebook to see it.

People are too afraid to argue and wanna feel their opinions are validated.

Tl:Dr - Fuck social media and forums  for making people into such massive pussies.

Honestly? Play games set around historical times where factions and events are based around said events. Makes it far more interesting for me. Movies not so much cuz you're not as engaged in the world.

Got interested in ww2 because of Cod

WW1 Because of both Battlefield and Verdun

Antiquity in general because of Total War

Japanese Warring states (Sengoku Jidai) era because of Total War once more

Migration period of Europe/Fall of Rome because of Attila (I didn't know who the Saxons, Geats, Franks, etc were until this game got me interested in em)

Chinese 3 Kingdoms because of Dynasty Warriors (I know this isn't accurate, but I read up on the period in general after).

More or less a bunch of stuff like that. Of course I do like history in of itself when it's just presented right, so I will watch some documentaries at times of things based on what drew me in, in the first place

there may not be any gameplay for Prime 4, but there's tons of gameplay footage for Samus Returns
Fair enough. That one looks good, yeah.

I thought Paul Ryan's response was very surprisingly needed. Trump also called for unity, but I doubt that'll last, who knows.

If we're coming to a point where we forget basic humanity for the sake of political divide, then god help the future of this nation.

That being said, I also wouldn't base one off incident as an ever growing trend that it's coming to this.

I never understood all the love for Wolfenstein.
Nazi's win and future where Nazi's love for science shows crazy stuff

You know how much people love to circle jerk over "WHAT IF THE NAZIS WON?!". This is basically it.

Plus it retains the more classical approach to FPS's.
