If 7 drew you in, I highly recommend the 1 remake. You'll see the significance of the ending of the 7th one, as well as the start of everything. Plus they don't have tank controls.
Just to confirm: Resident Evil 2 is NOT Resident Evil Revelations 2? Steam seems to be missing a couple of the core games.

You can try it for free until you reach level 30 actually, so set up an account and get a good feel of the game. See how you like it. It performs just as well both gameplay and control wise on controller than it does on PC. In fact I played on PS4 first and then jumped to PC, but still use my controller. Devs really care about both.

It's really not. You're only getting like 10% of the information that you could be getting through someone's tone of voice, their facial expression, the way they gesture their body, etc. It's actually sort of sad and telling of the current generation we live in, that people growing up today seem to see no difference in talking to people in person and talking to people in text. I actually prefer talking to people in groups of 3 in a video chat, but talking to people in person is a bit uncomfortable for me, ironically. Just because it's uncomfortable for me doesn't mean that I don't realize how big of a sham talking to people through text is.
Here's the thing. When you're reading someone's writing through text, you don't really know a person. It's also impossible to tell what someone means sometimes if they're not using an inflection in their voice that you would hear. For example, sometimes it's impossible to tell sarcasm through text. Text is bullshit and you're retarded if you still disagree.
Couldn't you dispel this entire argument by talking to people over voice chat every day and forging friendships over that? I've known my pair of friends since 2011, and have chatted basically every day for the last 3 years. Going to visit another friend of mine in Maryland next summer probably and we talk very often and text. I agree just over the text thing, but everything else I have to disagree with. Sharing pictures, talking about your lives, etc. That's basically Facebook but not, and I don't see anyone there saying you're not really keeping in touch or knowing your friends.

It's not a bad thing. It's if you take it to the extreme in either direction that it's bad (like most things in life). If you're so worried about what others think of you that it makes you socially inept, or so paranoid you really can't be yourself and you feel you have to change who you are as a person around them, you have a problem. If you don't give a fuck at all and just do whatever without any self reflection, then you're also equally as bad.
I'd say the friends are the only people I'd worry about, but sometimes it does take an outside perspective to see a part of you that you wouldn't. I find the whole "they don't know me well enough anyway" to sort of be a safety net so your feelings don't get hurt. First impressions are a huuuuge deal, regardless of who it is.
And side notes:
1. If a group of people say you're a dick, it's not you who can dictate if that is true or not. You don't get to decide that. If enough people are saying it, odds are it is probably true. Using the thin line of "they don't even know me" is shit, because odds are they'll not want to get to know you anyway because of how unapproachable you are as a human being. If you had an off day and go to apologize if you'll run into them again, that is probably signalling you're a decent person. If you just brush it off and go "eh they don't know me" or "nah I ain't seeing em again", odds are you're a pretty dickish person.
2. Being kind to people in general, be they strangers or friends, unless warranted otherwise, is usually the right path to go on

It amazes me that the people who live in these countries know how corrupt their government is, but they still support it.
It's not nearly the same, but supporters of Trump are a prime example of how that works. Be charismatic, promise a lot, act like you're on their side. Demagogues are dangerous. Erdogan is simply appealing to the Muslims that long felt isolated in the secular Turkey. Trump is appealing to the people who've lost their jobs due to modernization of many businesses that go to robots/other countries now, along with salary issues. Once you get their support you can pretty much do whatever you want.

Anyone else find Lyse annoying by the end of this? Like don't get me wrong, I don't dislike her character. I just think much like Capcom did with Frank West, they overestimated her character and just... focused way too hard on her. She's always bitching, and while she does fight, it's fucking annoying. Spoiler When she's freaking out at the end over that one red head ordering to kill her own men, it just got annoying to hear her bitch. "THEY WERE YOUR COM-RAIDS!" and the way they pronounce comrade doesn't help. Like jesus christ shut up, I'm glad you're staying in Ala Mhigo, far away from me.

I played bideo games since I could remember. Nintendo vaguely remembering Final Fantasy 3 (6), Super Mario 3, Link to the Past, and my first console being the Playstation 1 with some shitty racing game.
Gamecube was fun with the friends that lived around me. We'd play Super Smash Bro's Melee tournaments in my friends big comfy garage with a big screen tv, and wake up early as shit for the new episode of Yugioh lol. Good times.
360 and Halo 3/Reach, and CoD 4 were some of the most fond memories I can think of simply because of staying up until 4am doing custom games on all of em.
Doing PC gaming now (and 3DS with Fire Emblem/Pokemon), but not as obsessed with a lot of genres (FPS plz go) as I used to. I try to break the norm more so now that I have access to PC games, going for old school Isometric games (Fallout 1/2, Pillars of Eternity), along with games that capture that Cyberpunk/nostalgic look to em (Va-11 Hall-a, Cross Class). Got into strategy games with Civ/Total War (more so the latter). Of course I'll still play some few games in the franchise I enjoy like Battlefield 1.
Now a days I mostly play Final Fantasy 14 with friends, unfortunately get roped into League of Legends because I am a masochist apparently, and a few other various things. I've shied away from the huge blockbuster stuff you'd see at E3 though like CoD, Gears, whatever else you can think of, and try to look for the games that are more sort of different in pace or looks, if only to keep my flame for loving video games burning.
