The thing with Trump is that he just keeps doing so many things wrong and continues to say so much shit that is painfully uninformed or so blatantly false that it's just apathy kicking in. You could dedicate several threads every single day to the crap he does, but it just grows old. What would be a major scandal for any other politician is just confirmation for many that he really is incompetent and clueless, and those who blindly support him will continue to shrug it all of because "her emails" or "fake news".
But that's only part of it. We all know each other well and many discussions have just become predictable at this point.
That being said, I'm going to make an effort to revive this board. One serious thread a day on topics of interest.

Several reasons. One that hasn't been mentioned yet is the availability of arms. If you're a police officer in a country that has more privately owned guns in it than people, you're trained to just about expect the worst in any situation. Pulling over a car with a pinged plate, breaking up a confrontation, called for a domestic dispute or possible break in? Odds are someone's going to have a gun. 60 something policemen shot dead while on duty in 2016 alone. That's more than one a week. They're trained to prepare for stuff like this.
Of course, should the government ever turn against us, the ability to kill police will be vital.
That's highly doubtful.
Except for the all the time it happens literally all over the world.
Too many factors go into the whole "evil government" crap. First off people would be divided on if it's evil or not (the country is split right now on whether shit is okay or not as it is), and to take action against it, and then you act like hand guns and hunting rifles is enough to deal with police who are armed to the teeth, and then against the National Guard as well? Good luck.

Fun fact if you didn't know; Cowboy Bebop's dub is what really broke through animes being dubbed well. It showed they can be. Steve Blum is one of the best va's around. Oh Verb, fun fact 2. The gay guy in Gurren Lagan (if you watched it dubbed), is Steve Blum. Talk about range, right?

Out of all these, I think I'll be most disappointed if Baccano! doesn't work for you. It's what made me think I could actually enjoy anime. Are you planning on dub, sub, or a mix of both?

i normally prefer dubs, but sometimes they're not available, and i get to avoid people saying shit like, "you only hated it because you watched the shitty dub!!!" so now they can't say shit like that

Baccano! has a solid dub. Maybe try one episode of both? I haven't tried the subs, but I imagine they're just fine.
Try the dub. They go for the Italian Gangster kinda look with everything and the dubs nail the accents perfectly. You'll lose all that with the subs.

tl;dr the US has prohibited domestic companies from participating in boycotts of US allies led by foreign countries or agencies since the 70s. This bill amends that previous bill to include boycotts led by the UN, and includes some administrative stuff about voicing US opposition to such at UN meetings. Weirdly enough, there aren't actually any current UN boycotts against Israel, so this bill is preemptive at best, and pointless at worst.
Wouldn't the UN have to vote on it anyway and it'd probably fail?

I was so mad when I realized he wasn't right handed in Twilight princess. My buddy mentioned it and it threw my perception of the game pretty hard.
I still need to play BotW. Looks like a return to form for the series.
He's also left handed in LttP, which I feel was the definitive title in the series.
He's left handed in every Zelda
it was only flipped for the Wii
With the exception of Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild.
Obvious reasons—motion controls, right-handed players, etc—but it would've been dope of them if they just added an option for lefties, because apparently, some of them actually have a harder time playing games like that.
I'm surprised they DON'T have that option... That seems like a massive oversight. I know lefties aren't very common, but it seems that if your star character is a lefty, along with the creator, you should sure as hell at least add the option.
I guess I found the overall franchise's ONE FLAW after all

artstyle in the novels are easily better, yeah
but i'm not gonna argue about the characters personality if you're so hung up on nudity as the only defining trait. She easily has more depth than what you're making it out to be, though it's not really just her that makes the show shine. It's the interaction between the two of them that makes it great.
also the romance attraction thing isn't what you're drawing it up to be. It's not at all a generic way of two people falling in love. By the time they even admit anything, they're already accepted they love one another, it's not some bold declaration or whatever like a lot of animus do.

Saw the thumbnail and I'm glad I did. The art style instantly reminds me of Wind Waker (I am a fan of this), and the smol pieces of music is shows, along with puzzles, easily has captured me to try this game. Plus I am a sucker for emotional stories. I figured I'd share it on here if anyone is interested in trying since it's available across all platforms (I thought it was Nintendo at first honestly). I thought of you, VERB when seeing it because of art style and discussing it, so maybe you'd like this. I'll post thoughts once I get my hands on it.
