Passion into a game doesn't exactly make it good if the general direction is shit.
You have Destiny 2 who's art team clearly has some of the best talent in the industry, and it's hampered by literally every other department around them. I think the creative leads, and unfortunately publishes, can either just make or break a games potential, regardless of the passion the devs in the team feel. People were passionate on Final Fantasy 14 1.0 and the game was still a pile of garbage.

Respectable to a degree but ultimately clunky and overrated.
What is respectable to a degree lmao it's a game
You don't respect the people who make good games? It's clear the CD Projekt Red put a lot of soul into the game but I don't think it resulted in a stellar product. That's why its "respectable to a degree."
Nah it just didn't make sense the way you said "respectable". Most games are respectable.
It makes perfect sense, and most games are just products instead of something that people care about making, which aren't respectable.
I don't really agree with that. There's a lot of passion put into games.
Not enough to be respectable
I mean do you think the guys who shit out another call of duty or battlefield or far cry every year really care all that much
its all just soulless which is why i feel the need to specifically point out developers who clearly do care
I think Dice put a lot of care into Battlefield 1, considering their mess ups with 4. It's the game that made them what they are, so I think a lot of care and research went into BF1. Documentaries show as much. I think for the new CoD, a decent amount of care went into the Single Player bit of it. Idk about MP.

It's a pretty good game, yeah. The amount of story that goes into side quests left me impressed. If you want to get caught up on what happened with 1 and 2 in like 5 mins so you're not lost, here.

I played the Gamecube game a lot in my youth. Tried the 3DS one recently but I'm just not as into it as I used to be. It's better to hold it off as a memory for me, honestly.

How his crippled ass is getting a boner and railing Ender's fat ass is beyond me, but the real issue here is
Is her ass fat or thique?
It's "thicc".

Uncharted 2 remains my favorite. Snake you should give 4 a chance. You can really tell it's made by Neil. There are no supernatural elements. And it's more of an adventure game. Hardly any set pieces compared to 2 or 3. It felt more character driven too. And overall the story was more grounded and less silly.
I don't have a PS4 so I'm watching the 6 hour (ugh) movie form of it. It's actually pretty enjoyable. I rolled my eyes with Troy Baker getting the job but he does a decent job masking his voice so it's not just Troy Baker voice acting as himself. Though getting Laura Bailey in as the key woman is another eye roll. Why does every prime time woman have to be Laura Bailey? I love her voice but damn, give other people a chance.

will watch the videos when i have time, but my opinion on the uncharted series is that they're basically just summer block busters in video game form.
That'd be Call of Duty Summer blockbuster usually means it's fun while there but forgettable the moment you leave, and have a bunch of explosions left and right usually Uncharted's main strengths are riding the characters to bring out an otherwise generic story, and the conversations between them that actually feel real instead of something off a script. Granted, Uncharted can have some of that blockbuster crap (and who can forget the ever cliche line in Uncharted 2 between main villain and protag where he goes "we're not so different, you and I!", but I always felt the writing via dialogue made it a bit more respectable.

I never noticed until now the idle animation has a slight smirk on their face. The rest are just confident evilish smiles, so it surprised me. I don't think I know an MMO that has the small detail in facial stuff that FF 14 does (minus Black Desert). I guess new classes = new facial animations.

I've only done The Crystal Tower. I still wanna do The Binding Coils, The Void Ark, and Alexander. There's also the hard mode dungeons. I've only done 2 or 3. And there's a few Heavensward dungeons I never unlocked like The Fractal Continuum, At this point, do you think most of the stuff could be soloed, besides the Heavensward raids of course.
No, you need groups, but those raids are still being run.

I spent so much time the later half of today just decorating my new house, then redoing it for a Japanese aesthetic. It's real cozy now with ambient music of the fire place crackling and all that.

Is Shinryu really considered harder than earlier story fights?
Easily since it has mechanics that can be easy to mess up if you're not aware.

Yeah that's how it is with FF. It's hard the first month or two while people are still trying to understand the mechanics. After that it's just common knowledge. People collectively growing and all that. Plus item level.

On one hand you say the movie only examined the themes of sentience and artificiality at surface-level, but on the other seem to have missed the point of Deckard stopping Rachel from leaving, an interaction which is critical to that theme possibly more than any other in the film. Rachel is struggling with attraction towards Deckard, fear of being retired, and conflict about being a replicant -- none of which she should be feeling if she's just a robot as Deckard asserts. Deckard is very much an anti-hero, bordering on the story's villain, and ultimately the scene co-opts a by-the-numbers film-noir trope to examine those themes in an original way. Yeah I get WHY they acted the way they did and the impact behind it. I'm just saying how it VISUALLY looked was just very rapey.

Yeah I commented how it was very rapey looking too. But then I remember the context of the time it was in and you know the man being DOMINANT and all that stupid shit. 80's man, was a weird time.
I hope you saw the Final Cut though and not the theatrical version, because the theatrical version has narration with Ford doing it and it just ruins the slow shots and scene set ups.
yeah, i saw the version without the narration
which was lucky, since i didn't know the original version has ford narrating
that would've made it a lot worse tbh, i'm glad that was taken out
Yeah my friend warned me before I watched. It also added the unicorn dream which is a pretty big thing.

It's why I love games like Va-11 Hall-A, and am readily looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red (Witcher developers)

at least until that weird, borderline rapey scene with sean young happened? did that need to be in the movie? was the movie trying to make me like harrison ford's character less, or can harrison "womanizer" ford get away with any kind of romance scene he wants, no matter how uncomfortable it is
i also found it visually displeasing, but not in a cool way

I also just finished watching it on Friday cuz I was going out later that day to see the new one. I have to appreciate the movie is what more or less set up the Cyber Punk genre, which is one of my favorite genre's ever. That's why I think I am a little more forgiving of movies that try something new and do a somewhat decent job at it.

It's alright, but two things that stick out to me are
For Capture the Flag, overtime lasts way too long like Overwatch. You just need someone to pick it up for a split second and the slow countdown will reset. It takes ages to end.
Rolling is so over powered because there is no cool down and it's so easy to dodge everything. Put a cool down timer on it.

here come the mad faggots
a whole lot of hype for something no one could even give a fuck about anymore
maybe we shouldn't be hyping this stupid shit up if no one's even gonna care in the future, huh
or would that be too intelligent
Meh, it's like anything that has mad hype really. Kinda like the solar eclipse. People never shut up about it, it happens, then MAYBE for a few days after as a simple talking point, it's brought up. But then ultimately forgotten. Of course I know there is a difference between the two, especially on an education level. I'm more so just talking hype and things that get hyped in general. Unless it's something that can keep getting actively revisited I suppose, like vidya games. Can't revisit IRL a solar eclipse.

So a GOP introduced bill to ban stocks on guns could be introduced as early as today. I'm shocked anything might actually be happening, especially on the GOP side.
Of course it's not really going to change anything, but anything is better than simply nothing.

I just want my Heracles and Altera to ascend. Berserker is stuck at 60 because Heart of Foreign Gods are just not that common. I have to wait for events.
And I used my golden claws to level up someone else so I'm 3 short. But I know where to grind for that.
Grinding germania for claws almost made me insane man.
So glad I pulled four or five of the fuckers from Tam cat's interlude for Lancelot.
Yeah I went for 2 and it took forever. That's why I'm really hesitant to doing it again. Right now I'm trying to just pull a meteor horseshoe for waifu Rider Medusa.

Seeing a forum you love slowly crumble away is depressing
But take heart in knowing classes started back up as well last month, so that could be a reason
