How is Ashley a cunt? She is the most human character there.
Because apparently her having a very natural human tendency of racism (due to her actually interacting with the said aliens) suddenly makes her space Hitler. Where as you have 'not Carth' who is just a boring as fuck 2nd tier biotic who has literally no interesting backstory aside from he's "Shepards old friend". Ashley's racism thing may be a negative, but negatives are what helps make someone fleshed out. I'd rather have that a blank template. It's a shame they made her into a literal barbie doll though in ME3. Her tomboy look suited her just fine.

I like it, though I will disagree on the marketing. At least on the GoTY edition for Dark Souls 1. The whole "PREPARE TO DIEEEE" edition. Apparently Miyazaki wasn't too keen on it either because it completely removed the point of his game. It's not about being "le hard" (because honestly, patience is your own worst enemy, and that can apply to a lot of things in life as well). It's about overcoming adversity and keeping at something that at first you thought was hard, but through sheer determination, you've overcome that adversity. That's what the human race is known for.
But you've already said all that

http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/15/politics/endangered-species-act-republicans-congress/index.htmlThe Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held a hearing Wednesday with Republicans focused on curbing the Endangered Species Act, the latest front in the conservative push to rein in regulations they see as harmful to business.
The law is a flashpoint: The agriculture industry says it imposes far-reaching regulatory burdens. James Holte of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation told the committee, "farmers and ranchers consider it their personal responsibility to be stewards of the land. However, the ESA creates many challenges for them to balance agriculture production with wildlife habitat."
Republican lawmakers have also complained the Endangered Species Act has had a negative impact on drilling, logging and mining. They've argued it has hampered economic growth in these industries and expressed frustration that animals that reach recovery status are not de-listed.
And many who want to see the law relaxed believe it tramples on their property rights by imposing restrictions on how they can use their land. They're calling for a higher threshold for supporting data and research that justifies putting an animal on the endangered species list before invoking federal power over an individuals' land. Environmentalists who support the law say the Endangered Species Act is not broken nor is it in need of "modernization."
Jamie Rappaport Clark, president and CEO of Defenders of Wildlife, a national nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the protection of all native animals and plants in their natural communities, also testified before the committee.
"For more than 40 years, the ESA has been successful, bringing the bald eagle, the American alligator, the Stellar sea lion, the peregrine falcon and numerous other species back from the brink of extinction. Based on data from the (Fish and Wildlife Service), the ESA has saved 99% of listed species from extinction," Clark told members of Congress. "Species de-listings increased significantly under President Barack Obama, a true testament that, with time and attention, many species can and do recover if protected by the ESA. During its eight-year tenure, the Obama administration removed a record-setting 29 species from the endangered species list -- more than all previous administrations combined," she said.
Clark told the committee in her experience, Republican efforts to "modernize" the Endangered Species Act have "almost always been code to push forward an agenda to weaken or gut the nation's premier and most effective wildlife conservation law. That agenda -- backed by special interests -- ignores the public value of wildlife conservation." A relaxing of the act would be seen as a win on one of President Donald Trump's campaign promises, as he promised to roll back federal regulations he sees as unnecessarily harmful to business.
The ESA was signed into law under a different Republican president: Richard Nixon in 1973. I don't get it. It's like they don't understand not all regulations are shit. Getting rid of laws simply for the sake of getting rid of them because "big bad gubbermint" is completely asinine. Teddy Roosevelt is ready to come back to life and choke a bitch.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/14/politics/donald-trump-aides-russians-campaign/index.htmlHigh-level advisers close to then-presidential nominee Donald Trump were in constant communication during the campaign with Russians known to US intelligence, multiple current and former intelligence, law enforcement and administration officials tell CNN.
President-elect Trump and then-President Barack Obama were both briefed on details of the extensive communications between suspected Russian operatives and people associated with the Trump campaign and the Trump business, according to US officials familiar with the matter. GASP! to the surprise of no one. I don't know what to really add to this, considering we've all said what we've had to for over half a year now with this. It's like the NSA in that we all knew it was happening. It's just that the people under scrutiny were denying it.

Well it's true, executive orders aren't under the purview of the judiciary.
I think it's more so them saying the Judiciary branch is trying to be this big overreaching thing and that what they do WILL NOT be questioned. Which is fucking stupid, it will always be questioned. This isn't Russia or Turkey.
Well having a circuit court rule on the immigration executive order is overreaching. It isn't their place to do so.
I'm not so sure that's true. It would be if the executive order was more clear cut and they just easily redrafted it and made it more clear, instead of just crying about it. It'd easily get passed. In its current state, it's way too damn messy. And even if it doesn't, it'll go to the Supreme Court where it'll soon be in his favor, along with the circuit courts being in his favor whom he appoints. And that doesn't invalidate the other things the dude said.

As conspiracy tier it might sound, Trump really does seem to be putting together an autocracy.
Publicly bullying people with less power for disagreeing with him. Openly trying to silence opposition. Targeting the media with unfounded smear campaigns in an attempt to discredit any negative reporting. Deliberately spreading clear lies and factually incorrect information at such a disgusting rate that people have already accepted post-truth and have stopped caring about their government pushing demonstrably false narratives. Challenging checks and balances. Undermining the authority of branches supposed to keep him in check. Personally attacking people for the sole reason of them doing their job and upholding their civil duty and the rule of law. Ignoring detestable acts by those supporting him while endlessly bringing up the wrongdoings of others. Openly praising, supporting and gaining approval from repressive regimes and factual dictatorships around the world. Filling the swamp with ever more of his cronies and people with zero qualifications for the sole reason that they are paying his party. Publicly putting blame on people who disagree with him so that he can shake off all responsibility and attack dissidents if things go sour.
Leader of the free world and home of the free, my ass. I still can't believe anyone could support this pathetic excuse of a leader.
here is a video reflecting what you said, and idk how to feel.

Why was this not a problem under Obama?
I do not remember Obama screaming and bawling on Twitter over court cases regarding his Executive Orders, or his administration saying quotes like, "No one will question our Orders."
And I recall whenever Obama signed an Executive Order, the right never ceased with the "POWER ABUSE!!!" nonsense, so yes. It was a "problem" under Obama.
Obama's only fault for criticizing it was saying he wasn't happy in his State of the Union address, which was stupid to do. But yeah, Trump's is obviously far worse because he's questioning the Judiciary branch of our government as a whole. And I hope they don't get weakened.

I'm more worried about the precedent he'll set for future leaders. I doubt it will all come tumbling down under 4-8 years of Trump, but the weakening of the institutions of the government easily can pave the way for future leaders to slowly take power away from it. Right now Trump and his very hardcore supporters are the only ones really buying into everything he's doing 100%. Everyone else is either directly opposed to it, or passive enough to see what he'll do.
It's when you start to see more and more people in powerful positions like that do it, that you'll need to be worried. I can't help but think of Turkey and Erdogan's party for this example.
You look at places it's happened like Rome and realize Caesar didn't take the power suddenly in one fell swoop out of nowhere. The institution was weakened a number of times before that.
