You know
I wonder how many DS2/3 players will be annoyed you can't teleport right away in DS1.

Some general vital things, a few I stole from a website to jog my memory Wear headphones and turn them all the way up, sound is vital; from determining where gunshots are coming from, to footsteps around you. First 10 mins can be a bit jumpy in terms of connection. After that it generally stabilizes. Try to predict where the center of the zone will be so you can camp out more so constantly spending it running to try not to die headshots are vital aim the camera straight down while you're free falling to hit the ground quicker (your chute will auto deploy). Constantly tap and let go of W if you want to go further whilst free falling In the pre-game, take off your shoes. Barefoot running is the same speed as running with shoes, but you're noticeably quieter on most surfaces. Remember to toggle your rate of fire with the B key (one shot for when you're outside, semi/auto with close quarters) Avoid big towns if you want to actually be in the top 20 All doors in the game start closed. If a door is open, someone's been there. If you leave a door open, you're telling the world you've been there too. Therefore, get in the habit of shutting doors behind you unless you're rushed. Always clear buildings (unless you're very rushed) before looting After the beginning the game, pistols are almost completely pointless Avoid bridges like the plague if you need to cross one to get into the safe zone Hold your breath while aiming with 'Shift' Don't go for a kill unless you're 100% certain you can win that fight. The moment you shoot, break a window, take off in a vehicle, etc, you're putting a beacon up across the map showing what area you're in. Your best bet is to avoid combat if necessary. Remember, it's a survival game first. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-01-19-pubg-tips-tricks-guide-battlegrounds-4415more here

You know it's odd
Verb is watching more anime than some of the "weebs" on this site, which really gets my noggin joggin
Maybe it's just the best industry to critique since it's just too easy sometimes.
you should watch devilman crybaby
I still haven't watched the shows I told myself I would

I uninstalled the game for a bit to clear space and reinstalled it yesterday and I forgot it resets everyyyyyyyyything in regards to UI and customization. So I had to spend just an hour or so retinkering everything how I mostly like it. All my hot bars reset, BLECH.

It's funny
I enjoy Dark Souls simply because it doesn't hold your hand and actually requires you to think a little
but for that same reason I curse games like Elite Dangerous

You guys are high. Blowtorch and Corkscrew where it's raining and you gotta shoot gooks coming out of holes was the hardest for me
beating WaW on veteran though is something I actually feel proud I did. It was no joke.

It's just another tactic with the aim of weakening movements. Minorities are just that, minorities, in a democracy they need allies in the majority to make a difference. So what you do when you want to obstruct the goals of minorities is you find ways to separate them from their majority allies. Usually the easier way to do this is to target the majority supporters and put them in a situation where it's harder to be an activist than it is to remain a complacent non-participant.
So you accuse those who stand up and be activists of doing so out of bad faith (accuse them of being a white-knight, virtue signaller) and/or you try to convince them that by standing up and being an activist they are in fact hurting minorities.
It's entirely possible for an ally to do either of those things, and those things happening can be a legitimate problem for activist movements and minorities, but where some people try to solve the issue and produce better allies, others wish to silence allies and stop the movement as a whole.
allies and enemies lmao oh man what happened to America
I never said enemy.
You didn't need to.
Do you think all reality works in binaries?
Why do you need allies if you don't have enemies?
I would think in regards to her post, allies is people who will actually take up arms and fight besides you. And by that I mean helping you protest for equal rights, pressure politicians, etc. There is a difference between people who support a cause via just a nod of approval, and those who actually get up and do something about it. Those people being your allies. At least that's what I took from it.

ive never once been playing dark souls and thought to myself
"man, yknow what i need? i huge lumbering clumsy sword twice my size that takes 10 years to swing. thatll enhance my experience."
It's a risk reward factor. Do you want faster weapons that don't damage/break poise as much or you can get a slow powerful sword that staggers anyone it hits, and one or two hits = done deal for PvP the same applies, and it's funny how you can bait people into it. At least in DS2

They're coming from the right place, but the practice and lack of foresight to the effects of it doesn't seem to have been thought out too well.

well my whole life philosophy is sort of built towards transcending what makes us human, because i consider it silly to just sit down and accept the fact that we're imperfect when i believe we have the tools to improve ourselves
I was just coming at it from a very bleak/realistic point of view and less of an idealistic/hopeful one which it seems to be what you're trying to aspire towards, which of course there is nothing wrong with. I just think as a whole it's basically like trying to subscribe to making a utopia exist with the current world/tendencies around us, and i'm sure we can all easily realize it couldn't happen. And no to anyone reading, not saying Communism is utopia lol. Just a decent analogy.

« on: January 17, 2018, 06:01:33 PM »
I am not knowledgeable or in agreement with the tenants of any specific ideology enough to choose to subscribe to it. I just show an interest in and abide by certain ideas and values.
With that said, communism has always looked particularly unappealing to me. What with the whole starving nations thing or being worked to death in a gulag because I disagree with the state.
none of those were actually communist
Sadly it's the only kind of "communist" humans will ever be capable of because we're flawed creatures and true Communism requires something more robotic. Thus the whole "it's not real communism" as a counter argument to defending Communism, is sort of pointless anyway.

Communism fails because it leaves the Jew free to do what he does. We must evolve to Strasserism if we want to ever truly free the proletariat.
Communism fails because it doesn't give humans incentive to work.
but it does
Ye, dumb argument to me, or at least worded poorly. There are plenty of other reasons it's shit. The best system is one of a hybrid of socialist and capitalist foundations. Go too far in one direction and you get bad results.

Madden 08 (of course)
This game was so freaking bad that they downgraded it from 06 and 07, and it took them until like 2011 to reinstate actual physics again the camera work on 08 was so bad

The only two sports franchises that I feel have even an ounce of effort put into them are MLB The Show, and Fifa before FIFA 18 rolled around. So yeah, just MLB.
You have the sport that's waning most since the average fan is 50ish, having the most passion put into it
That's kinda sad

the enemies are just far too mobile for what the player can actually do...usually making dodging the better option to guarding, but the player is given a much worse dodge to that in Bloodborne.
I am so happy I'm not the only one who feels this way It really is just the bastard child of Bloodborne no one wanted

Souls 2 has absolute garbage PvE
Really does, but it's so odd it has the best PvP Souls 1 was behind simply because of connection facts. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

I personally think being a Mage is one of the most boring of the entire series simply because you really don't have to learn many enemies movements.
Fucking excuse me? Have you seen the fucking gap-closers the enemies in Dark Souls 3 have. You can be sure as shit us mages have to learn the fucking move sets. Meanwhile y'all niggas got greatsheilds to just tank that shit and stunlock motherfuckers to death, on top health and bars that reach all the way across the screen and hyper armor for days. Miss me with that bullshit.
Eh, sorry. To be perfectly honest, when it comes to PvP in Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, I sort of mentally block it simply because of how shit it is. Oops, we accidentally removed poise from the game, making heavy armor and 2 handed swords useless. Oops, we made it so when you roll it doesn't take much stamina, and pushes you further, and made PvE enemies do insane combos to the point dodging is really the better alternative to blocking, thus making it useless #Bloodborne&DS3'sBasterdChild Ree

Saints defender shouldn't have tried to dive in to do... whatever he was doing
But that aside, the Saints vs Vikings was one of the best NFL games I've ever seen, if not THE best.

Anyone who goes sword and board is confirmed a boring fuck
only way to play
I'm just teasing. I use it a lot while building up towards other things if I wanna try new stuff. But generally I do find it very vanilla. Nothing wrong going through with that first time though, but for someone like me who's doing it like a 7th time, you can see why I'd want change ups so I don't get bored playing. I personally think being a Mage is one of the most boring of the entire series simply because you really don't have to learn many enemies movements. Fun for PvP though for memes, but I know you don't like that stuff.

The animations in Attila are downright ugly. Slapping shields like lord knows what, and the charges are just ugly.
