The publishes actually forced the writer to put it in because they didn't think it'd sell as much. So as a 'fuck you' to them, he wrote them as bad as he literally could, and later removed them when it got popular/sold tons.

The last game I preordered was Halo 4. I learned my lesson the hard way.
I learned this from Mass Effect 3.
ME3 wasn't a bad game though. It just had a bad ending (which I thought the extended cut fixed). Everything up to it I thought was great. People seem to forget that.

All the exploration was just gone, and all we had were fly by fetch quests. Plus ME2 characters were dumbed down to cameos. And let's not forget the day one From Ashes dlc.
Oh, and Mordin's voice actor was replaced for no reason >_____>
I'll give you the DLC thing and fetch quests, but they wanted to focus more on the original characters, which I don't mind. Though ME2 was great. I still enjoyed 3.

Ah, thanks for that. Yeah I can see why that upsets people who've read the books (I haven't) but come on, seeing the Pillar of Autumn take off with that music and literally seeing Halo 1 set off WAS kind of cool, right? While the game wasn't perfect, I thought the ending was honestly pretty beautiful. A good way for Bungie saying goodbye.

3's wasn't great but it wasn't shit. Reach' seas pretty shit.
3's was pretty bad.
It was alright. Halo 4 easily had the best narrative of any of them. Reach's flaw was that Bungie didn't seem to realize that just because you show characters faces, it doesn't mean we'll suddenly care about them. Really the only development in that was Noble 6 and Jorge.
Reach's flaw was that it shit on the canon.
Last I checked the only canon they switched up was John Halo being on the planet and Spartan 3's having MJOLNIR armor, though Noble team was the only one to get it. Regardless of the canon cutting, it also didn't feel like a real invasion at all the entire game. The only time it felt like a war was that one cutscene that lasted 20 seconds with all the Warthogs, and all the ships warping to Reach after Jorge was kill.

Why are people defending games that are obviously broken, pushed, or mismanaged? I understand you enjoy the damn thing, but defending it hurts the game industry as a whole and encourages more of the same shitty practice.
