Secret option 53, America sucks
Your opinion doesn't count. You fucked your dog apparently.

Where's the option for "once they make an attempt to change"?

I voted for hormone therapy, but even that isn't completely true. If my hypothetical friend Frank said he wanted to be called Frederica, but still had a beard and a waxed mustache, I'd tell him to go fuck off.

If he made efforts to make himself appear more feminine/girlish, with or without HRT, I'd respect his wishes and refer to him appropriately.
Yeah that makes more sense. You word things better than I. It's why I don't consider someone from Bungle a... transgender person.

Thanks for reminding me how retarded American politics are. Not that UK politics aren't stupid, but they're lightyears ahead of American politics.
LOL
>Republicans constantly accusing Obama of not loving America because he's not a hawk

Yeah. They are extremely retarded.

Hell, the Republicans even having any seats makes American politics retarded.
Generalizing is always fun

12126
the thing about gender is that it's bullshit

it's just a contrived social construct, unlike sex

so while i'll respectfully identify transfolk as whatever gender they assign themselves
i have to wonder why it matters to them

what difference does it make if i call you he or she
you're no less of a human being either way
I do have to add on to this because I agree. For these kinds of people who try so hard to fight against labels (I'm referring to crazy liberals and shit. Basically Tumblr), they're doing exactly that.

12127
For me it's when they actually do the hormone therapy or consoling because it means they are serious about it. I already recognize more than a few people as female who are transgendered, but at the same time I can tell you I've seen the most manly of men say they want to be a girl and be referred to as such, only for attention because "girls are pretty".

That being said, don't get pissy at me due to habit and stubbornness for not calling you "she" all the time. I can't just suddenly up and refer to someone as "she" if they come to me and say they wanna be a girl and be called as such.

It's probably to make a quick buck to the more casual fan base so they can see the star piece of the game. You can't really blame them for that. It doesn't take away from this game at all and from what I've been hearing, and seeing, it is easily one of the better, if not best in the series.

can invade people and steal their shit
I'm not gonna argue with you since I know and understand why you dislike the game (SHOCKING WE CAN ALL HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS), but you can't steal stuff from other people when you invade.
yes, we established that earlier

instead, the dumbass game has you pick back up all your stuff
for... NO reason

sounds stupid as fuck

and the invader still gets rewarded if they beat you
the only thing an invader should get is AIDS
Well there is a reason. It's a risk reward to push ahead and lose the souls (money) you've collected, or turn back and go to a bonfire/merchant to buy or level up things. Otherwise you could simply farm all day without risk.

Though there is a ring that you can equip to if you die you don't lose anything.

I like people invading because I know they have the intention of trying to screw me over, then I shove it back in their face. And on the flip side I like invading to mess with people and try out new builds.

Well, I only like being invaded sometimes. If I'm pushing to get to a boss, I find it insanely annoying.

Edit: But it boils down to me liking PvP in souls anyway, so of course I'll say I enjoy it.

Just a friendly piece of advice the next time you have to bring it up, because we both know you'll have to.

]You know you can roll in any direction and instantly get back up if you get knocked down, right?

And just dodge behind a pillar to antidote and heal.
No no, when you get grabbed by the BEAST, you get locked with her throwing up on you, then the moment you get up you die. I understand you can avoid attacks, but when you get hit yeah.

And I tried to dodge with father GAHGHSGFOSG hit you, but yeah you can't. There is one animation where when you get knocked down, he gets a free hit on you.

I would say the game is not that hard and just has a steep learning curve, but I guess that still counts as difficulty.
Something is hard if it requires a good amount of endurance or effort. Therefore, Bloodborne's boss fights are usually hard.
I feel a lot of Bloodborne bosses are cheap. Like Father Gascogine for example. He can knock you down, and while you're in the animation of getting up, can still hit you. I find that crap to be rather BS.

Or how the Blood-Starved Beast just grabs you, poisons you, and then you take your sweet time getting up and try to heal, but he only leaves you with a small amount of health, so you just get up and die.

I know you can easily "avoid" these things in a fight, but it's stuff like that that's annoying.

Pariah would be an understatement, this is a little bit like Jack Thompson praising Mortal Kombat but ehh at least it's positive.
Mortal Kombat of all the fucking games...

Mods for Bethesda have proven Bethesda didn't exactly do a grand job with Skyrim. If you need your community to fix flaws in your game that's been in development for god knows how long, that's sad.

Edit: I'm not saying Skyrim is bad, because it's not, but I wouldn't exactly say it's 10/10 RPG of the decade (if you can even call it an RPG at this point).

12146
Skipping all of the arguing since I only read the first page of Verb's thing, I can agree with him (as I have before) about mods and what not. A game like Skyrim for example. I think they left modding available to make dungeons, but obviously people had to do far more to make the game better by itself (better mechanics, final boss fight, etc). Hell, even in one update Bethesda took the best mods and threw em in an update. That's just the devs failing to think of it on their own and probably not pay the people who MADE it better.

That being said, if a game takes that Minecraft or Halo Sandbox (forgive me for the bad analogy) approach and offers you a game that is GOOD (Arma on its own is good, people), but leaves the tools for people to do their COMPLETE own thing? I say why not? Let the community come up with witty ideas that are completely different and embrace that community.

The difference is, for the Skyrim example, they needed mods just to make their game more playable, or fix mechanics (PC port anyone)?

Where as ARMA has a game that is solid, well developed, and fun, but offers people the tools to do a complete new game at the same time.

I dunno if that makes sense. I'm just saying that instantly saying Mods are bad (Verb), and people shouting that people who DON'T support/disagree with mods are wrong (everyone else), is a little too black and white to me. There is a way it is handled that makes it different in my eyes.
Bottom page is a bitch

PvP in this game is something I'm really not enjoying like I did Dark Souls 1 and 2. I could go on a long rant, but to keep it short, I'll just say the mechanics feel PvE first, with PvP being an afterthought.

The PvP gets killed by the lack of weapon, and overall build diversity IMO

I only have 3 complaints with this game

Lack of weapon diversity

Lack of interesting drops from enemies

Insight is a stupid system, especially when the servers are borked
That's not my problem, so much as to me it's just a bunch of flailing, hoping your strike hits, and then tapping circle rapidly and dodging. I feel like it moves too fast to be tactical in the slightest. At least in Dark Souls you had to plan out some things. I feel a lack of that in this game.

Serious / Re: The Iraq War

Going in under the auspices of nuclear weapons was retarded. Would have been much easier to say they're going in to topple a horrible dictator who really did deserve to be taken out, so in that regard, I am all for it.
WMD's referred to chemical weapons, which were found, and we knew Saddam had because of the Kurdish genocide in which he gassed thousands of his own citizens. Though, the primary mission was to topple the regime for numerous human rights reasons.
Quote
We ousted everyone in the Saddam government from the lowest, to highest levels, which only led to them rebelling and fighting us, we put the wrong people in power and they only divided people even more, and many other things.
The coalition didn't install anyone, it opened up the chance for democratic elections which went relatively well. The biggest issue was the later administration's unwillingness to continue working with the coalition.
Quote
I honestly think 2,500 people died for a war that was poorly handled and managed. In other words, died for nothing.

Are you referring to 9/11? That had nothing to do with the Iraq war.
1. Even if that was the case, I think they were overselling it, and as an earlier post said (which I just read, I'm catching up), it was mainly going in because Saddam had a tight lid on oil. Same with Iranian Democracy. You know the post, I won't restate it.

2. Was that the case? I thought we forbade ANYONE from Saddam's government to even go in at all, which is a lot of the reasons we were dealing with this shit today. I know, like you said, the new government wasn't cooperating which just messed it up even more. They're barely a "government" at all.

3. I meant the casualties for the Iraq war on America's side, but I probably, for whatever asinine reason, mixed them up with the 9/11 people. I'm aware that had nothing to do with Iraq :P

Sorry, I barely got any sleep >.>
