I used to find Colbert funny, but since the Colbert Report ended he hasn't been humorous at all.

Trump has universally killed comedy though. Not through actions by the man himself, but because left-leaning comedians and media figures (read: all of them) endlessly lampooning and mocking him. It's not funny or original in any way. It's beating a dead horse until the horse has been virtually disintegrated.
Some dead horses should be disintegrated.

Criticizing Trump =/= endlessly telling shitty jokes about him and making him the only subject you ever tell jokes about.

I'm not saying you can't criticize Trump; he should be criticized for his errors. Just don't be fucking obnoxious about it to the point that I find those who endlessly tell unfunny jokes about him just as irritating as Trump himself.
The ironic thing is Trump is so crazy and says whatever he wants, that it's really hard to do comedy on him/parody him, because he does just that.

It's why South Park writers have said it's more or less impossible to expand on a joke that's making its own jokes.

I'd much rather just get the news on how he's fucking things up, then have people around a talk table discuss why he's fucking things up.

Just report the news and let the idiots form their own opinions please. I notice every piece of news is now (though maybe it's always been like this) "and now we have *insert name* joining us". I get it's for clarification, but it doesn't need to always be the same thing.

I believe the FCC is doing what they're always doing. It just got made public for some reason like this. Anyway, the FCC always looks over stuff like that.

I bought it recently so I got a voucher in my email that has it 20% off, so it'd go from $30 to $24.

It's active until May 5th, so if you want it, make sure to use it.

The only thing I'm worried about is him saying the Checks and Balances are archaic and a bad thing. Not because he will remove them or bypass them in his presidency, but because beating that drum will degrade the power of it over time. Dictators to democratic nations don't suddenly take over from one person all of the sudden (unless it's a coup). The institutions are weakened over time. It's happened plenty of nations, most famously with Rome's Republic.
Most recent example would be Erdogan, he's been 10-15 years in the making.

It's almost funny looking back at when he was just the mayor of Istanbul he was arrested for telling an Islamic poem, now look at where Turkey is.
Yeah I put Turkey there and then deleted it, but yeah.

But all our voter ID laws got overturned by the courts.
Nah fam. Last I checked it's still existing in some states, mine included. Lemme check.

I think there should be some. My limit? If you're gonna get a firearm, you should be required to take a safety course (don't ask me how long) on proper usage, and storage of the gun. Too many times you see incidents where guns are mishandled or stored poorly.
Training and licensing requirements are really just ways to disenfranchise a whole underprivileged socioeconomic class of their right to firearms ownership because of either cost or time barriers, as they may not have the proper times open in their daily schedule because of wage slaving all day or they could lack the means to effectively transport themselves to and from the classes.
Wanna know my rebuttal to that?

If they can do it with voting via ID's which is the same as you described to the same class of people, they can do it with guns.

I mean... Buchanan, Grant,  Hoover, Reagan, FDR, and  Andrew Johnson were presidents.
You forgot LBJ
LBJ foriegn policy was shit, but domestically he got Civil Rights passed in a far quicker way, which many argue Kennedy wouldn't have been able to.

As for FDR, he's fine, Das is just salty from an ideological level. Let the power hungry FDR rest in peace.

The fact that anyone who voices these opinions is called problematic and attacked shows a serious lack of respect for free speech.
A daily reminder that free speech is a civil liberty and not a civil right.

*insert free speech comic here*
The people who don't realize this probably don't know what that means, bro.
Basically what the comic covered. As long as the government isn't suppressing it, it's not a violation of shit.

There is a difference between a private business kicking someone off the air/not coming to an event because it doesn't match with what their message is or whatever. It's an entirely different thing when Turkey (for an example) is blocking social media and Wikipedia.
