I think I've come to a conclusion with this group that some (I don't wanna say quite a few) people have so far out opinions on things, that they think they are enlightened or smarter than the average bear because they don't think the way everyone else does. They think they "see it for what it really is" and believe in this false notion that they're highly intelligent and enlightened. When in actuality they're just edgy cunts sitting on the computer typing their opinion, because sadly the internet gives every igit a voice. Like me :^) That being said, I still love you guise and this popcorn is delicious. Here, have a heart

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-31669061Mr Nemtsov, 55, served as first deputy prime minister under President Boris Yeltsin in the 1990s.
He had earned a reputation as an economic reformer while governor of one of Russia's biggest cities, Nizhny Novgorod.
Falling out of favour with Yeltsin's successor, Mr Putin, he became an outspoken opposition politician. He was shot right in front of the Kremlin too, and 2 days before a rare protest to oppose Putin and what he's doing. My thoughts? I think it was Putin's men who honestly did this. Someone with a history of getting rid of political opponents, as well as him dying 2 days before the rally? I doubt this is coincidence. I just hope he becomes a martyr now and they protest against this wanna be Czar.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/26/middleeast/isis-antiquities-vandalism/index.htmlNew video released by ISIS shows militants smashing what they say are antiquities at a museum in Mosul, Iraq.
Men shove statues off pedestals, and use hammers and drills to destroy what's left.
An unnamed militant offers the following explanation: "These antiquities and idols behind me were from people in past centuries and were worshiped instead of God.
"When God Almighty orders to us destroy these statues, idols and antiquities, we must do it, even if they're worth billions of dollars," he says. ISIS destroys Assyrian monuments, including the statue of Lamassu, which belong to one of the oldest empires in the history of mankind. Well congratulations, ISIS, you've officially won the title of, "Worse than the Nazis" you fucking shitfucks. This is both depressing and infuriating.

If you had to have a choice to live in any time in history for say... 5 years (or forever, whatever gets you going), any place in the world, where would it be? And no don't say modern times.
One key note:
You could speak the language 100% fine and understand it during said time if you choose someplace foreign.
And if you somehow got sick, you have access to modern medicine because space magic, and only you know about it. This way you're not scared to die of the Black Death or some shit.
Me?
Take me back to Roman times. I wanna see what it was like first hand.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/18/middleeast/isis-iraq-people-burned/index.htmlReports that ISIS burned alive up to 40 people near the town of al-Baghdadi in Iraq's massive Anbar province are true, an Iraqi official told CNN on Wednesday.
Anbar provincial council chairman Sabah Karkhout said he was advised by his field commanders near the al-Baghdadi front line that ISIS militants killed at least 40 police officers and tribesman, and that most of the victims were "burned to death." Sooo can the whole world finally agree that ISIS is probably the worst thing to happen since the Nazi's and get a unified ground effort to exterminate them? Even if this isn't true, they're KINDA bad, mk?

Apparently the Final Fantasy 4 song "Theme of Love" is so highly regarded, that it's taught in Japanese music classes as part of their curriculum.

Edit: 2 fahrenheit, so time to convert that to c

So my 3rd thread (I think) in the OD, woo.
Here you talk about manga, anime, or whatever the fuck. Figure since there wasn't a thread on it I'd make one, and a lot of people here like it, it seems.
Anyone got any upcoming shows they plan on watching?
P.S. I put official in there because fuck you

This applies to American's obviously, but this past election cycle for congress, I honestly didn't go. Why? Because I knew Congress would be the same bogged down thing it's been for a while.
Now I know the whole "you gotta vote to change it!" so don't lecture me, but really lets be honest, until we see massive movements across the board, we'll just pull a Rome and have a congress that gets nothing done well into the future.
Sooo do you guys vote for them or nu?

This doesn't deserve a thread, but I've seen others do it so I want to be cool too.
Bai erryone. After a day of being here, I can say I enjoy it. Mostly.
Let's see how long THAT lasts

I hear most of you have Xbone One's, which means you're suffering from the MCC match making (my condolences), but to ANYONE who has a PS4, is anyone excited for Bloodborne? Miyazaki-senpai is finally taking charge again after his noticeable absence from Dark Souls 2, and that sucked. I'm hoping it captures me like DS1 did, and from the 10 min gameplay thing I saw with that boss, it got me excited sooooo ye. *Update*
