I am fine with anyone joining. I believe it is wrong to single people out and exclude specific users. That is the same type of thing that the users you are talking about were trying to do to me on the Proboards forum, and I do not agree with it at all. If they misbehave, that is what the moderation team is for.
Well the fact that they were still trying to start shit is on the second offsite is why I don't want them here. Because they will do the same thing again here. If they get the chance, I would rather have them not be here at all than have them come here and cause issues before they get banned.

I think it's rather easy to ignore them and report them to a moderator, instead of making things worse.
I am not the one worried about them. It's other people that said users are causing problems for. This is just a suggestion for people that dont want them here.

Well, the mods on the first proboards forum didn't do anything.. I understand this is a new forum, but I am pretty worried since this is our third attempt at doing this.

I had no idea that this forum would be such a hit. I am mildly overwhelmed and am in need of some mods to keep the peace. I realize that we don't really have a formal 'rules' thread up yet, but that's next on my very long list.
Now, I wasn't really around much in the other offsite forum. I mostly lurked near the end of its life. But I do understand that there was some sort of horrible shit that went down with the mods and a few members. I don't give a shit about that. I care about the here and now and what goes on in this forum.
So I think the fairest way to do this is to nominate members for mod status. Right now we only need about two of them, but that may change down the road. So please either comment here with someone's name or send me a PM. Later on tonight I'll set up a poll and you can vote on it.
Is that cool with you guys?

I don't see the problem with letting the website be known to all. It's privately owned, and Cheat has made clear he is willing to ban without warning if shit goes down.
He won't have to ban in the first place if people like secondclass, and weed commando/comms aren't notified at all.
Yet by selectively PM'ing, we run the risk of missing people, which hurts the site more than having a couple bad users show up and be banned.
I even said in the OP, you can spread the word by making threads, but only provide the link in PM's. That way if some destitard or an unwanted shitposter comes across the thread they won't be able to get in here and troll/spam the shit out of the forum. This is the THIRD time we've attempted doing this in less than two weeks. I think we should take every precaution to make sure this forum doesn't become a cesspool of arguing/shitposting.

I just recently bought a 3DS and got Pokemon Y, and man is it sort of addicting. The newer games aren't nearly as difficult to play through as the previous gens (1 through 4, I mean), but the online trading and battling is way better than on the DS games.
So I suppose if you'd like to trade or battle, post your friend code on here. I'll put mine up later when I have time.
