I legit see no purpose to that surprised blushing emoji. I don't think there's any conversation you can have where another one wouldn't be more relevant.
It’s mainly for the memes.

Antithesis of what I think is good for humanity, so I’ll be (Begrudgingly) voting for Biden. I struggle to be invested in politics because it seems hopeless.

There are Discord servers, but I rarely ever go to them. Even though I’m friends with plenty of users, I don’t feel so close I’ll regularly hop into a private voice chat. I definitely float on the periphery but I’ve been their so long I enjoy most of their company. I think Bungle stays active because it’s big enough to hold the entire spectrum of comfort from people. The more distant users can hang around and still interact with everyone.

It is cool how long these communities last, though.

The Dragon Prince was pretty good, glad it’s getting four more seasons.

I’m not sure why it’s that surprising, many of the members are very tightly-knit.

I frequent a former erotic MLP roleplay current anarcho-syndicalist propoganda forum disguised as a hentai sharing imageboard with strong gender abolitionist undertones.

That's about it.
Yeah this one

The Flood / Re: Do you live alone?
« on: July 18, 2020, 12:21:06 AM »
Kind of. I live in an in-law apartment in the basement in my house. My grandmother used to live in it before she moved into a condo, then it was just sort of where I played video games and hung out with friends until my sister and her fiancé moved into it a few years go. They just bought their first house, so I'm down here now.

It's much more independent and I really like it, even if it is part of my house.

I feel like you have to be really meticulous when you're thinking about the balance of career and passion. I'm really lucky in the sense that what I wanted to do even since the early days of my college career is what I actually ended up doing, but not everyone's passions align with something that's explicitly viable as a career. For you it sounds like it's a possibility, but there's the aspect of uncertainty with leaving a stable place of employment.

I can't put myself in everyone's shoes, and because of how fortunate I was to find a career even in the midst of everything going on in the world, but I would never sacrifice my own personal happiness just for a bigger paycheck. If I'm gonna be doing something for a living, it has to be something I at least kind of like doing. I'd feel really unsatisfied, if it were any other situation.

Not completely sure what constitutes my most "Controversial" opinion.

I think I might lean towards what Cheat said and my belief that religion is just a terrible, ridiculous thing that has no place in the modern world. That there are still people who live their lives adhering to these ridiculous stories and ideas is upsetting to me. It's a component of the current trend of anti-intellectualism currently sweeping the United States.
Atheism leads to communism.
I don't really care what economic or sociopolitical revelations happen as progressively more and more people realize religion is stupid. Truth is the most important part and if some form of socialism is the eventual result of that, then that's fine by me. Everything we do should be based on reality and what can actually be known.

This is evidence there's a God. I take back everything I said about this site needing to be shut down. As long as Verbatim reports on his pain to this website, it deserves to exist.
Who is this clown?
A fan of divine justice.

Verb openly wants to destroy the human race.
He deserves pain, and only once the torture cannot grow worse, death.
Verb's desire to "Destroy" the human race actually comes from a place of good intentions, even if I don't personally subscribe to anti-natalism or his general desire to stop life from continuing. It's pretty basic logic that he follows and it's not difficult to see why he feels the way he does. But your justification of "Divine justice" is stupid for the obvious reason a benevolent god wouldn't want someone to suffer at all.

Also, god isn't real anyway. Grow up.

Worry about things I inevitably need to get done.

Being in school is difficult, it feels like I can never catch a break- Never actually have a true sense of relief when assignments are turned in or exams are finished, because until the very end of the semester, there's always something around the corner I could be getting ahead on. I've been struggling quite a bit with stress management and unfortunately turned to smoking for a while to get some sort of relief but I've been distancing myself from those temptations.

The Flood / Re: How do you relieve your emotional stress?
« on: April 03, 2019, 10:27:10 PM »
Not in the healthiest ways as of late, but I'm trying to make changes. I use to be a very active person, went to the gym daily and everything, but school has become very difficult and time-consuming over the last several months and it's just gotten away from me. For a long time, I just smoked to relax in my down time, but I noticed it wasn't affecting me positively with the frequency of use I was at, so I've been cutting back for my own sake.

I just try to hang out with friends when I need to give my head a rest. Either that, play video games with people, peruse the internet, or listen to music. Music is the thing that really keeps me alive nowadays.

I mean, you're sort of trading one thing for another, although I'm pretty sure nobody's going to deny that marijuana has significantly less detrimental effects than alcohol. The problem I had was that it was way, way too easy to get a hold of, I had a disposable income, so I ended up smoking like every day for about a year. Not the best sort of habit to develop, and it made me laze around quite a bit and not really explore other methods of having fun. It's only recently I've realized that I just became a lazy pothead and I needed to stop doing it so damn much.

Weed is great, but like alcohol, it's something you should do in moderation. Smoke like once a week at most, maybe. Look for the signs you're developing a dependency if it starts to creep up, and know how to take the steps to avoid falling down that rabbit hole.

Think hard about how stupid this statement is.
Think hard about who you're asking to think.
I don't come here often enough to know people's reputations, honestly (Barring a few).

The Flood / Re: How many holes does a straw have?
« on: February 07, 2018, 05:01:03 PM »
A straw is effectively just a torus (Donut shape) extended along the height of the torus. You'd say a donut has one hole, therefore a straw (Which is topologically pretty much the same) has one hole as well.
i too saw that reddit thread
It was a good explanation.

Yes, twice I've had deep-tissue massages and I'd recommend them to others.

Especially people who lift a lot. That stuff feels amazing once your body is all loosened up.

If someone had a firearm and was commanded to "Drop the weapon," but refused to, then obviously it's a bit more understandable why lethal force could be used as opposed to someone refusing to gesture themselves in some way (Like raising or lowering your hands) when there's no immediate threat that's recognizable. Clearly it's not permissible for an officer to say "Please step out of the vehicle," me saying "No," and then getting filled with lead, no matter how many times I refuse to. But it's all dependent on the context. Sometimes orders are much more pressing and necessary.
