I got my bench up to 310 the other day. That felt good. I rep 10-12 of 215.
Every other olympic lift is mediocre. I'm working on it though.
215 in that rep range is pretty goddamn beast, you should be proud.
Hey man! Thanks.
I remember for a time you were in to lifting, are you still?
Yeh (Shit photo but it's all I got)
That was a few months ago at the start of my cut when I was around 200lbs, I've slimmed down significantly (Sitting at 170lbs right now), but all my lifts are the same, despite some slight volume decreases for reps. Most of my 4x10 lifts have gone down to 4x8, but beyond that, nothing has changed. I really hate cutting, though. Any loss in size, even if it's fat, always pisses me off.

Going camping with a bunch of my friends over the weekend.
See the real night sky.
This time I'll remember to bring my glasses.

I'd bring my telescope but I don't think anyone but me would really give a shit, lmao
Take it you want to man, don't let anyone tease you because of your telescope!
I don't think I'd be teased, lol. But it probably wouldn't fit in the car.
Well if you do take it don't let those bullies break it into two pieces to make it fit in the car, all the while making out that they're being helpful and trying to do you a solid. In fact I'm having second thoughts about all this. I don't think you should go camping with these people. You're a charming young man who could easily find some real friends who love you and your telescope just the way you are  >:(

The Flood / Re: Losing one of your senses

Everyone here is aware that smell is very closely connected to taste right? But if we're talking a hypothetical where our tastes wouldn't be lost as well, then yes, smell can go bye bye.
I think with questions like this, we're suppose to just assume they're all distinct senses.

I think smell is clearly the least important sense.

It's honestly probably more of a convenience to not have smell.

I'm glad to see Sonic on the list. Even if the fanbase is beyond autistic, I still think the original 2D Sonic games were fun as hell.

Mangoes and avocados are a surprisingly fantastic combination.

Being muscular only goes so far if you don't have any fighting skill. I'm bigger and stronger than basically everybody I hang around with, but I know plenty of them would wipe the floor with me in a fight, because I don't train to do that kind of thing, and some of them do. Someone 75% my weight, hell, probably even less, could take me down if they were trained to fight properly.

674
Since I was born? Probably not, honestly. I feel like the most fundamental parts of my world view are basically unaffected by what goes on around me, because those views usually don't require a big event to prove they're sensible. Like "Don't hurt people" isn't an idea that I was only able to conjure up once I saw what terrible things criminals, terrorists, etc do to people, I just sort of knew it was a bad thing to do from small-scale thinking.

I think that was a pretty bad explanation, but hopefully it made some sense.

I didn't know anyone pronounced differently than "Ver-Bay-Tum."

The Flood / Re: Favorite bands/artists that you've seen live
« on: May 23, 2016, 07:10:11 PM »
Foo Fighters put on a great show, but I actually haven't seen any other instrumental musicians live. I say "Instrumental" because I've seen a handful of EDM artists live, but it's obviously a very different experience.

678
I'd say most of the time, yeah, but I don't know if I'd make the full leap and say that it's always going to be true. I can't really think of any example where it wouldn't be the case, but I'm sure there's some instance I can't think of off the top of my head where it might not be totally accurate to say the subject gender's opinion matters more.

But as I'm thinking of it right now, it seems fair. If there was a crime scene, and a handful of people I could question about what they know about what happened, I'd value the analysis of people who were actually there in-person over someone who just heard about the crime afterwards. Similarly, if I want to understand an issue related to a man or woman exclusively, I'd say it's fair to listen to that gender a little more attentively.

679
As surreal as it is to say that I cried at an Adam Sandler movie, "Click" really fucked me up at the end with the hospital scene. There are a handful of other films that made me tear up, but I actually don't know if I've ever outright cried at any movie besides that one. The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out, and Lone Survivor are the ones that almost brought me to tears but not quite.

I've cried more at TV shows than I have movies. Avatar made me cry for like two hours straight during "Tales of Ba Sing Se," and when I was really into anime a few years ago, Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Gurren Lagann, Anohana, and Toradora definitely made me cry.

To be honest, as much as I love the messages about stereotypes and prejudice, my favorite theme of the movie was that you can pretty much accomplish whatever you want if you put your heart into it and never give up. I really needed that boost of motivation when the film came out, those first few minutes of Judy facing adversity and being told "You can't pull this off," and ultimately succeeding, is why I love the film as much as I do. It just made me feel good.

I saw it at a time when I was really fucking close to throwing away my aspirations to continue being an astronomy major. So the movie means a lot to me just because it pulled me out of the rut I was in.

The Flood / Re: Are you ever to old for a Pixar/Disney film?
« on: May 22, 2016, 07:44:56 PM »
I think Disney films (Especially modern ones) are designed to be enjoyable to anybody, and that they usually succeed pretty well in satisfying both young and old viewers. I mean, my dad bawled his eyes out when he and I saw "Up" and he expected it to be stupid. Disney films tend to be clever, funny, and timeless- All qualities that adults can enjoy just as much as kids.

A disappointingly small amount.

Foo Fighters
Getter
Feed Me

Pretty odd bunch of artists, but I'm hoping to expand on live shows- They're a really good time.

Fifteen minutes, usually.

I obviously want to get clean, but I love being in the shower. So warm and relaxing.

Aurora

Why?
I don't know why, but I've always just liked her the most. She has the best voice actress, she's elegant, and she's such a representative "Disney Princess" while having thoughts and motivations of her own. The fact she's from one of my favorite Disney movies probably helps, too.
But she has, like, no personality.
She has 18 lines throughout the whole movie, so that should be expected. From what we see of her, though, she was plenty of personality.
Uh, like...?
Every line added something we didn't know. Like how she doesn't want to be a princess, but still wants to control her own life.
>basically every princess story ever

If two identical twins both had babies with another set of identical twins, their kids would technically be siblings.
I feel like this is wrong but I don't actually know how to explain why.

Pretty big fan of The Red Album, honestly.

Although, I actually haven't given any Weezer albums a full listen. Should probably do that.
