In her video on sexualization in gaming, she showed segments of RDR, which pissed me off. There was footage of John hogtying and carrying a girl, but.. You can do that to anybody, and there's no incentive to do it to only girls. Sure, there are prostitutes, but almost everyone in that game's setting is scum, that's the point of Red Dead Redemption. Mostly everybody in that environment is the lowest of the low, and even acknowledging that, there are plenty of very strong female characters in the game. Bonnie and Abagail, specifically. And John is incredibly respectful to women throughout the game.
That sort of misinformation makes me angry.

I generally don't have issues with what she says (Although sometimes she's said some dumb shit), but her tone and voice make me want to eat pine cones.

I meant when you combine both of them. In which case, the danger of pregnancy has essentially been nullified. Check for breaks in the condom afterwards (Which is easy), if it makes you feel better. If you really want to go overkill, wear a condom, use birth control, and pull out.
You've got a better chance of getting hit by lightning, at that point.
she also has to be willing to have an abortion if necessary
That's a plus, but I don't think it's a deal-breaker if you're literally having the most cautious, vanilla sex possible. Unless you plan on swinging around on vines and doing backflips into her cooch, the chance of the condom breaking isn't high at all. Combine that with birth control, and not even finishing inside her... The chance of pregnancy is basically voided. And like I said, if you having sex with a condom alone, you can very easily check for tears. Condoms don't break in a discrete way, you can almost always feel it. It's like a balloon; the thing's not just gonna suffer from some micro-tear and go unnoticed, it's gonna explode. But filling the condom with water and squeezing it, gross as that might be, can easily tell you if anything leaked.

1. Wrap it up 2. Birth control
Oh look, the danger is gone. it's not, though
birth control doesn't always work and condoms can break
even vasectomies aren't a guaranteed contraceptive

Sex is fun
As if that's an excuse. If you're comfortable doing something irresponsible and probably damaging to the future well-being of both yourself and your relationships, you're acting in a moronic manner.

I agree, but like I said, we all prefer to have some things to enjoy on our own, no? No
i don't--that's the entire point of asceticism
if i had it my way, i'd eliminate every last one of my personal desires that only benefit me--i occasionally masturbate, and i'm trying to quit that, for example
i want nothing--and everyone else should be the same exact way
I disagree; everyone has a right to enjoy themselves, if they're contributing a sizable amount of productivity to humanity. A fat slob who sits in his basement all day and plays video games doesn't have the right to do that, because they aren't helping anyone (Well, to a reasonable degree). But if some dude goes to work each day, educates people about an important issue, donates to charity, and contributes to their community, then the guy can go home and dick around on the internet for an hour or two without me thinking he's being selfish.

Catering to your own desires is a positive thing if it allows you to maintain the mood and drive necessary to do service to other people. Whether or not you think those desires are stupid really doesn't matter if it's not harmful, as long as that person is helping themselves and others.
i'm just saying--i think if you really take the effort to soul search, you can find yourself a hobby that you not only enjoy, but also helps or entertains others at the same time
i have--why can't anyone else
I agree, but like I said, we all prefer to have some things to enjoy on our own, no? Everyone has a few activities they like that don't really do much to contribute to the larger picture of life. It's not ideal, but I don't think that's something to lose sleep over. As long as you're finding a nice ratio of "My desires" and "The desires of others," I think it works out okay.

There's nothing wrong with indulging here and there.
people like to tell themselves that
if it prevents you from fucking killing yourself--well, that's a little bit sad and pathetic, but sure, go for it

Okay, yes. Almost everything is "momentary bliss". Money is momentary bliss, friendship is momentary bliss, ANYTHING that's fun is momentary bliss. I've never understood this argument from either you or Verb - it doesn't make any sense. Just because something isn't permanent doesn't make it less valuable - else we'd all just be Tibetan Buddhist monks. the difference is that nothing--nothing of value is gained from any of that shit
if something makes you happy and actually contributes to society, then do that
if people just did that--well, stuff wouldn't suck as much
There's nothing wrong with indulging here and there.

I think that a big portion of this is about self-control. Which, to be honest, a lot of people lack when it comes to masturbation, pornography, etc. I'll 100% admit that I'm honestly getting bored of porn. Like I use to be able to watch basically anything sexual, and get sort of aroused, but nowadays, I really have to put effort into actually wanting to wack off. I wish I hadn't done it as often years ago, because I'm terrified I'm just not gonna be able to get as easily aroused when I need to.
And this is apparently an issue that a lot of people run into.

Last winter, me and my friends would go out to a frozen pond in the center of town and play ice hockey, but it was my first year ever attempting to skate, and the skates were loose as fuck, so I didn't make much progress.
I can, uh, skate in a straight line... For a little while...

>Great Scourge of Malachor V is canon, therefore: >Non-pussy Mandalorians are canon >Revan is canon >Most of KOTOR is tacitly canon >Darth bane is canon, too
Sauce: No details about the Scourge are actually given in any current Star Wars media, though.
It's an assumption to say that all characters and events associated with it are still canon.
Well yes that's what 'tacitly' means.
You said that Revan was canon before saying that KOTOR was "Tacitly" canon.

They're not canon anymore.
Bane is, though.
Is Bane the oldest canon Sith lord or did some of the other ones before him remain canon?
Not sure, but I think so.

How long do you guys think it will be in theaters? I hope to see it a few more times once I'm done with this ECON class by mid January.
No clue
/helpfulinfo
If I had to guess possibly until February, rumor is that it will be out on blu ray on April 5th.
Wasn't it the 6th? And I thought that was confirmed, not just a rumor.
