I've always felt like this was the dumbest thing people could say, because what "feels" like Halo is arbitrary and impossible to determine. Beyond that, Halo 4 is a very different game narratively to the original 3, and it needed a new sound to establish that.
Davidge's score was incredibly inspired and set the tone perfectly for 343's vision. Keep in mind this was when 343 still had balls and aritistic integrity before trying to appease Original Trilogy faggots. I still maintain that Halo 4 has the best campaign of all Halo games in terms of overall artistic merit.
It was used pretty terribly in-game for sure, but I can't really levy that against him.

One that comes to mind is the beginning of Dumbo where the black workers building the circus in the rain are portrayed as these large almost gorilla like figures with big lips and small eyes.
So no, I wouldn't call Disney a great company and a lot of their work is highly overrated, to the point where the stuff I just mentioned is overlooked or outright ignored because of their "classic" status or that "it was a different time".
Well, it was. Do we discredit all art because the artist was born in a bad time, and that time is reflected on their work? Besides, the golden age of Disney occured well after his death (late 80s-current).
These are horrible excuses for being a racist. There are plenty of cultures thousands of years older that didn't portray other races as animals. The fact is, there is no excuse. Making references to Hitler and supporting the Nazis is not "being born in a bad time", it's being a piece of fucking trash. You're talking as if Walt Disney was a German in Germany and feared for his life if he didn't paint Hitler in a good light. He was an American in America, a country that (I'm not sure if you're aware of this) waged a war on the Nazis. He had absolutely no excuse for that, and he had none for portraying blacks as gorillas. It doesn't matter what year it was, that's a conscious decision to degrade other human beings. Also, the majority of the classic Disney cartoons were created under Walt Disney. I don't care when the supposed "golden age" was, that's irrelevant. And they have never publicly atoned or apologized for any of this as far as I'm aware.

Life isn't the same as when our parents were growing up. You can't work a factory job and buy a house. It's really expensive and hard to move out, people are graduating college and not finding any work in their field. A lot of people still live with their parents, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that.
Apart from that, though, this is something you should do if you want to do it. Not because your friend is being needy and dramatic. He should man up and deal with his own problems and not make you feel like it's your responsibility to help him get his life together. He's not being a good friend to you right now. Loyalty is one thing, but to ask you to basically uproot your whole life (kind of, I assume you're still in the same town) or he's gonna flush his life down the toilet is manipulative and immature.
I'd say tell him what you're telling us, and just talk it out. If he can't understand then maybe he's not as much your friend as you thought he was. I've asked friends for favors before but to impose a big life decision like this on someone is not s very friendly thing to do. He should be more independent. You said he has issues and I don't pretend to know your friend but I still maintain he's behaving selfishly, whether he realizes it or not.
