I should also add if these people legit got violent and broke stuff, it sort of invalidates their entire stance on being against him, because they look like the monsters, and he doesn't.
tbh I don't really agree with this. They got done what they wanted accomplished, and as long as they didn't hurt anyone and stand accountable for their crimes, I'd say they were pretty effective.
No it's just. People will focus on the things they messed up and not the thing they were protesting, and it just helps paint them in a bad light.
It's exactly why people like MLK and Gandhi never did such things.
Gandhi was a racist and MLK was a Christian.
Yet they still protested peacefully and had a good cause to rally behind.
Also, idk why MLK being Christian suddenly makes him bad.

I always found it funny how people are selective when it comes to suicide.
What about the people who walked into the chernobyl reactor to maintain critical parts to stop the damage from being worse? What about people in war who hit the front lines and know it's a one way deal? The rare person who willingly takes a bullet for another?
People seem to just magically forget these when they bring up their hate for suicide. If I had to guess why, it's probably because these are acts of suicide with an inherent outward benefit rather than singular.
As long as your suicide benefits somebody else all is forgiven apparently.
I mean, we could get in to the details of sacrifice vs suicide in contextual, cultural, and biblical linguistics, but that sounds boring enough to actually lead to suicide.
