Gangster rap is extremely negative and perpetuates stereotypes, as well as keeping impoverished blacks in the mindset that they have limited opportunities compared to everybody else. The portrayal of black Americans in movies is often that of a clown or criminal, very rarely just a normal character, or if they are they feel very shoehorned in as if to meet a diversity quota. And as for the BLM movement, it has very effectively widened the wedge between blacks and all other races in America.
