The idea that because jobs are being automated people will just be allowed to live for free is naive. I don't see a post scarcity type of situation happening any time soon. We won't move away from capitalism in the near future. I don't see any signs of that. Automation isn't going to get rid of capitalism, it will just change the way we do things. We're still gonna keep buying and selling.
As for the working class being looked down upon, I think that's just a universal problem.

I don't think you understand the definition of a dead end job.
The idea that you only have two options, one being college and the other being some dead beat loser is just so asinine. It seems you're just more upset that I was given slightly more forks in the road and I chose one for myself. Just because you opportunities that others don't doesn't mean you're obligated to take it; especially if it's not the best one for you. I did go to college, and I left because while I could definitely finish it, it simply wasn't for me. It's comments like those that push me further to succeed where I am now and shove it in the face of everyone telling me I made a mistake.
