I also just realised that I could be playing the Switch on my flight to California and the following drives around that state. So maybe it's worth it?

Not really. You'd be playing at low to medium settings with frame rate issues. Do you already have a mouse, keyboard, and monitor?
he could get a 1050ti build which is more than enough for 60fps on 1080 medium if he didnt have to spend anything on a keyboard and monitor
I guess but my mindset is go big or go home so you can play on ultra settings with heavy mods if you want. Otherwise there's no point playing games on PC.
i don't care about graphics and i don't care about frame rate. i have a monitor, mouse and keyboard, but i'd be playing my games with a controller anyway.
