I don't really care. I don't like most anime so I don't bother watching stuff I know is bad.
The problem with you doing this is you'll never prove anybody wrong. Even if you watch most or all of anime in existence people will still come at you with the same arguments.
All it really comes down to is that you don't like it, and others do. Why people like this stuff I don't really know. From what I noticed it tends to be lonely and socially awkward people who are able to get lost in an imaginary world. It's not really something worth arguing about to begin with.
the only argument i'm trying to dispel is the whole "you can't say you hate anime, because it's an entire medium, and every medium has something for everybody" bullshit
which is something i've put up with for too long when it comes to weebs, and i'm just tired of being condescended to like that, as if my opinion doesn't mean anything just because i haven't seen as much anime as them
maybe it's a petty and stupid waste of time, but i'm having fun with it
and if i watch like 500, the reaction i'll get from people when i link this thread after hearing that stupid argument again will make it all worth it

It just wasn't anything special, beyond the multiple perspectives thing.
The whole time I was thinking "I could just be watching a real gangster movie right now."
And that's what I did—I watched Pulp Fiction right after, which is basically this show, but a thousand times better.

Hi guys, sad story here, but it needs to be told as a warning for others  My brother was a nice kid, decent friends, decent looks, etc. He never got into any trouble. But one day, he decided to go to one of those house parties he dreamed about. So he did. There was marijuana at the party. He was pressured into doing it by his "friends". Eventually he gives in and does 1 puff. But his friends didn't think that was enough. They made him smoke the entire marijuana cigarette. By the time they were done with him, he smoked the entire pack. At this point, he began foaming at the mouth and spasming uncontrolably. His "friends" let him lay there for 10minutes before calling 9-11. When the paramedics arrived, it was too late. During the Autopsy, they discovered he had 3 times the lethal dosage of THC in his body. So, if some of your "friends" try to convince you to smoke a marijuana cigarette, just say no - or better yet, take a deep breath, and end your friendship. Trust me, in a few years time, you'll be glad you saved your life, because it has been proven scientifically that Marijuana is a "gateway drug" to other even more dangerous substances. A DEA agent I know even told me that 66,667% of all confiscated marijuana shipments in 2007 were secretely laced with heroin in order to turn reefers into quick addicts. So don't make the biggest mistake of your life like my brother did. I'm always close to tears everytime little Shaniqua asks me with her innocent look "When is Tyrone coming back?" But I'm sure most of you marijuana-addicts and dealers will deny the fact that my brother died of this poison.

I remember years ago I was getting a ride back from class from my dad and a random girl asked if she could use my phone so she could call her parents. I gave her my phone, she called, handed it back, and left pretty quickly, I didn't think anything of it.

They took a show that was originally meant for kids and made it WAY too adult, exactly as I feared they would.
I wouldn't have had an issue if they had done it smoothly and tastefully, but they didn't.
Samurai Jack was always more mature with deeper messages than most kids shows. I wouldn't say it was solely intended for kids. I think making it even more mature was cool because we grew up with the show watching it as kids, and now we're watching it as adults.
