I'm surprised nobody brought up antinatalism.

Because
a) it's obvious
and
b) almost everyone here is a closet antinatalist.
Antinatalism is like when that one guy in the group that's never funny actually makes a good joke once and everybody laughs so he keeps telling it over and over again not realizing how awkward he's being.

Completely off topic, would The Breakfast Club be worth watching?
Yeah that was pretty good.

sometimes i like to take 80s comedies super seriously too
Plenty of comedies have serious messages. This movie has no message at all. It was just Let's Do Stupid Shit: The Movie

I had a crush on Cameron when I was a kid. Watching it now it's kind of dumb, but I see the 80's appeal.
But he has fetal alcohol syndrome.

About halfway through the story now, some early impressions:
-Gunplay is pretty much the same as Destiny 1, which is a good thing. No pointless changes or gimmicks added, just a bit more refined. Movement feels a little slow, though.
-PvE is very easy. Enemies are varied with the exception of the Fallen who are fairly bland to fight and don't offer much variety. Fun but not particularly challenging.
-Plenty of cutscenes with actual characters in them, Dominus Ghaul seems like an alright villain
-Game feels less grindy, there are miny-story missions called Adventures in each Patrol Zone which can keep you occupied alongside the main story. Patrol zones now have actual maps that you can view which is very handy.
-Main story is an improvement too, pacing is much better than Destiny 1's missions and there are fewer firefight sections, thank god
-Game looks beautiful, soundtrack is just as good as the first game's
-Crucible is alright so far. The two modes I've played (Supremacy and Survival) are enjoyable enough. Shotguns seem a bit OP though but they're a power weapon now.
-Director is much improved; you now no longer have to go to orbit to go to other places

Overall, fairly solid so far. Basically Destiny 1 but much, much better.
Who paid you to grab Destiny 2

Really guys? I thought it was dumb. I already dislike Broderick, but even then I put that aside and gave him a chance. I get that it's supposed to be lighthearted and all that but they really just should've cast somebody else to be the "cool" guy. Broderick just doesn't cut it lmao.

Apart from that it just felt weird, like it was trying too hard to send a message. And then Ferris basically turns around and tells you what the message is directly. Basically the whole movie was a hedonistic adventure where he hatches this master plan to skip school and not get caught and at the same time does all sorts of shit that almost does get him caught.

His sister made no sense as a character and apart from the end could've been completely scrapped from the movie and it'd make no difference if they just slightly changed the ending. The principal was the average hardass principal guy that hates kids or whatever that's in every movie like this. The parents were total dumbasses. His friend is a total weirdo who says he's tired of being scared then gets scared of what he's done 3 times in one scene. He says he doesn't care about the mileage on the Ferrari. I was expecting a scene with his dad coming in and him standing up to his dad and telling him to live a little, that actually would've made the movie a lot better. But he ends up kicking the shit out of it and when it flies out of the window he gets scared. It's like, what? Didn't you just dent the shit out of a super rare Ferrari? Your dad can't just buff that out you dumbass, it's already ruined. Why are you gonna get scared AGAIN after you just said you don't care and stomped all over it? Then he again "comes to his senses" with a dumbass smile on his face about how he's gladly going to tell his dad he trashed he Ferrari for no reason lmao.

It's like they're just a bunch of destructive anarchist rich kids who already have no responsibility so I'm not sure what they're rebelling against. They talk about college as this sure thing they're going to do, but they also have no idea what they're going to study and that's supposed to be humorous or something? It honestly felt as if I was watching a super shitty reimagining of Rebel Without a Cause.

Gaming / Re: When are microtransactions going to die off?
« on: September 05, 2017, 01:18:31 PM »
I actually think Micro transactions are good for the industry as a whole. And for the most part the implentation of them has good to me as a consumer. The price of a AAA game has stayed the same for over a decade while the prices of other goods rise. Microtransactions, season passes, and DLC are the reason.

As long as there are no items locked behind a Paywall for me after I pay my full 60 then I am completely fine with microtransactions. Halo 5 has the best system to date imo.

Despite everyone losing their god damned minds over the Req packs when they first came out, 343 not only made said req packs fairly easy to get by grinding out the game, but also made the ones that affected gameplay only usable in Warzone.

They then took the money from all the microtransactions and funneled part it back into their own game, allowing them to move out a ton of free DLC every single month and put money into the HCS prize pool which increases interest in their own game and literally revived the Halo scene.

Microtransactions done right are a good thing. Wish more people would realize this. If Microtransactions weren't a thing then we'd all likely be paying anywhere from 80-100 for base AAA games nowadays.
This guy has to be a paid shill. I honestly hope somebody paid you to write all that bullshit.

Alright, Charles. Next time you get into trouble like a robbery or house invasion or get shot by some waste of human space, you better not call the police. I mean, fuck em right?

If I were a minority or a woman I would be more likely to be harmed by the police
