Suffering is essentially not attaining or fulfilling your desires. No. Wrong. Not attaining or fulfilling your desires is a neutral state of mind. Suffering is inherently negative. If you were to put that shit on a number line, feeling suffering would always be a negative experience. Not feeling happiness isn't inherently a bad thing. It's not even really a quantifiable thing.
Suffering usually comes with an actual loss of something, whether it be physical or mental. It isn't simply "not" having gained anything.

There's a base level of monotony required to get the physical needs to survive, sure. But all in all, I'm not trying to live like Verbatim seems to want to.
